This is a very cool looking controller to have. The sticks have little bumps on them so your grip is good, and it's, i would say, lighter than the original white controllers. The plug and play kit is also very useful for charging a battery quickly but dont try and charge while using the controller. It kinda screws it up.

Ok well not totally new since it does look the same. Overall the controller appears to just be your basic 360 wireless with a play and charge kit and new color scheme (who can't appreciate a nice vibrant red with black analog sticks?). The big difference with this controller comes in the D-Pad. On the other wireless controller,the D-pad has four contact points being up, down, left and right. The big difference with this particular controller is now there are eight (8) contact points, the diagonal directions being added. You can tell a huge difference if you use the D-pad in circular motions. For all you looking for an improved D-pad for fighting games but don't want to spend money on a controller only for fighting games, this makes a great alternative. I have been using it for Street Fighter IV and it works great.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He uses it almost everyday. The red is a great color (matches his wall). Doesn't show dirt as much as the white. Wireless is great. He has had it for 6 months now and so far it still works great.

You should not leave the plug in the controller all the time, only use it when the controller is low on battery life! Overcharging on any electronic device will cause the battery to have less life and will eventually not work anymore.

I have mixed feelings about the charge and play kit though.

It is indeed better than buying disposable batteries but the kit "hums" into my headset while connected for charge during game play. Sometimes it makes my mic stop working in game and I have to "reset" my console to get my mic to work again, yep, turn it off and on again. This has happened with both charge and play kits I've purchases on both of my consoles (the cute little arcade version AND the bold beautiful Modern 2 version). BUT it doesn't happen ALL of the time, just sometimes, which is more than enough when I'm playing with friends! Right!?! It is better than constantly buying batteries though...for real! BUT...I think I'll take Jason C. Hill's advice from the regular charge and play kit, just buy rechargeable batteries instead of a kit.

But!!! I can use batteries with this too so I'm keeping my red controller!!!

It works just as well as the other controllers for xbox but this one is prettier. =)

Amazon continues to rock the pricing on this and other MS gear, and this controller is no exception.

Simply put it's cheaper here than anywhere else.

The controller itself is great as well, standard 360 style albeit with a red color. It also has a matching red re-chargeable battery pack which I use with a quick charge kit. The battery lasts a long time, I was impressed. I also have a black controller, and a white controller. I let the kids play with those two and keep this one for myself. (yes. that's how I roll)
