This is the best fight game out there.

Graphics: 10

Fun Factor: 10

Replay Value: 10

This game Rocks! The only negative I could find is you can't watch the computer AI go head to head.

I am not a follower of MMA or UFC... regardless of that fact, UFC Undisputed 2009 is so realistic and engaging; I have found myself playing it for hours on end. I consider myself a 30+ yr old casual gamer. What I love most about this game, is that unlike THQ's WWE Legends of Wrestling, UFC doesn't cater to what the developers THINK 30+ casual gamers want in a fighting game (i.e. dumbed down, overly simplistic, button-mashing). Instead, they have created a game that is challenging & DOES NOT INSULT MY INTELLEGENCE. I would much rather lose match after match & have little mastery of the controls (playing UFC), than win dumbed down match after dumbed down match with overly simplistic controls (playing WWE Legends).

UFC also has an in-depth CAREER MODE!!! The only issue with the UFC Career Mode is that your character does not age.

I wonder how many people who rated WWE high when it first came out are still playing the game? I doubt many are... UFC's depth & realism, however, make it much more replayable. The only things I like more about WWE Legends, are the fighters and the fact that the fighters have entertaining ring entrances (entrances have been omitted from UFC for some reason).

I know MMA/UFC and WWE are not the same thing. When it comes to video games, however, fighting is fighting. When it comes to fighting, I'm glad to see THQ redeem themselves with UFC. I have been playing a rented copy of UFC 2009. I like this game so much I have decided to purchase it. You couldn't pay me to play WWE Legends again.

UFC Undisputed = 10/10

WWE Legends = 0/10

This game is difficult but it is extremely fun. There is a rather lengthy learning curve to the game but once that is learned then the rest of the skills come in and soon you will not be able to put the game down. It's a game definitely worth picking up. It will just take time to get good at it but it is as realistic of a UFC fighting game as can be. Definitely worth the buy.

I just wanted to rate the game. This game is addictingly fun but as everyone else has stated it can make improvements. Overall it's very fun and that helps alot to look past the cons.

Pros:

Create a fighter

Relive past fights for unlockable videos

The addicting play

I personally enjoy the button layout

Various techniques making for great finishes

Cons:

Laggy online play

Create a fighter has dull spots, only a few points for any event or training session

No custom music or entrances

No custom celebrations or taunts

Fighters feel stiff some times

If you are a fan of the UFC, or MMA in general, this is a game you need to play and have in your library. This is my first time playing an MMA based game, but hand high expectations based or previews and screen shots that I had seen prior to release.

To start, the tutorial mode is farily deep, breaking the game down into multiple catagories. I HIGHLY recommend everyone go through the tutorial at least once, to get an understanding for how the controls will work. After proceeding through the tutorial, you have the chocie of practicing or continuing to the main menu.

The career mode starts off with you creating a fighter. While this is nice, I think it would be fun to start with an established fighter and work through his career. This is solved by getting to relive some of UFC greater moments over the recent years, such as the TUF finalle between Bonar and Griffin. The difficult portion of reliving these moments, is to successfully complete it, you MUST recreat it exactly. So, in the example I gave of Bonar v Griffin, you must play as Griffin and win via decision. That really adds a new challenge level. While proceding through your career you will learn to manage strength, speed, and cardio trainning, sparring, resting, and other actions such as autograph session while working your way up the ranks of the UFC.

All in all, though what I have played so far, this is a game that is going to have a lot of replay value, but one must be willing to put the time into learn the controls, and mastering the art off grappling, ground and pound, and submissions. If you don't want to put the time into learning the controls, rent the game. If you don't mind a learning curve, add this one to you collection.

The game is great. If you think of the controls for a game of such nature, you would think impossible, but the controls are simple, and the game is if as great as watching it live.

I've been waiting for this game since I got my Xbox360.

I'm a BJJ and Muay Thai Practitioner, and I used to play with my buddies Fight Night 3 a lot, and we were eager to get a real MMA GAME.

This is it!

To those who complaint about the fights being repeated and maybe even boring, try setting up the level to expert and lets see if you can handle the cardio and rithym of the CPU there. Plus, try playing it with a couple of friends, were the winner stays on court and the looser rotates, ohh man, it can even cause divorce in some cases. LOL

It is true, it is easier to get a K.O. than a Submission, but again in real life is that way as well, since K.O.'s are a matter of luck, when submission are a matter of precision.

I have not try it on line yet, but I definetly give it a shot.

The only thing I'd like to have is a real training mode in the career, by real a mean having to actually lift the weights, or run the threadmill, or do some shadow, e.g. Fight Night 3.

Other than that, is amazing, and the graphics and expressions are terrific.

I do miss not having Randy The Natural Couture as a fighter. Maybe there will be updates on line.

I'd also love to see fighter's profile and skills updated like the FIFA game.

Husband enjoyed receiving it the day it came out, delivered right to our door, the game is great!

So, I bought this game with high hopes for an action packed fighting game. That, it is not. The strikes are slow, the contols irresponsive, and the turnout completely based on luck. You can grind an opponent down to nothing, land power shot after power shot to no effect and then get popped by a semi-powered punch and you're ktfo'd. The menus are frustratingly slow and painful, and load times are atrocious. The only quality I have found to be redeaming is the above average visuals. I recognize the ambition, but the effort seemed to be all in the presentation and none in the gameplay. Needless to say, this game will not stay in my collection. FYI, this review comes from an mma fan.

I got this game for my boyfriends birthday. He loves playing it. He created a charater. It challenges him unlike most games he sits up to play this one. Other games he lounges back to play.

There is a plethora of moves, combination's, and holds you can do in this game. Your fighting style varies from fighter to fighter. Some are muay thai & bjj, and others are wrestling & boxing. So each style has their own moves. Not too bad to learn. Just play the tutorial and exhibition. Once you start whoopin dat ass you can create a fighter and start a career. This mode is much more challenging since you have to build up your character. Make sure you know your fighters moves. IE, if he's a muay thai fighter you can work knees in the clinch very well. Overall I think this game has much re-playability. It's the closest realistic fighting game out. You can fight on the feet or take it to the mat. You will definitely like this game alot if your a big UFC/MMA fan.

the graphics, announcers, and moves are top notch. This game is awesome! It takes a while to learn since there are so many different moves, but the variation of moves is what makes it so great.

I love this game - it has some major depth but at the same time someone can pick up the controller for the first time and KO someone in 6 seconds.. good times.. the only complain (which will be addressed I'm sure) is the online latency.

Yes, the graphics in this game are quite stunning and the interaction between the fighters is perfectly in sync. However the career mode lacks much. It becomes very repetitive and predictable, plus the fights are actually quite hard in this mode because your fighter takes a long time to develop. Bringing me to my next point of loading time, which is horrible. Not that it takes forever, but when the game saves everything separate and then has even more pop-ups to tell you saving is complete, it becomes annoying. Xbox live with this game is laughable, its highly detailed graphics actually are its downfall here, with drastic lag during every fight.

Final conclusion, stick to the free demo. Expedition mode is really fun because both fighters are equally matched.
