A FPS maybe, it seems more of a puzzle solver to me. You have to find everything, from guns to bullets to herbs to treasure and emblems. I haven't even finished the first level, but then I am more of a straight forward give me a gun and let me shoot something type of player. If you like solving puzzles and collecting things you will probably like this one. If you prefer to play a FPS, this is probably not for you.
I love this game. Got a good price for it too. it has everything i like in first person shooters: blood, gore, good story, cool weapons. The only complaint i have is not being able to move if you are aiming your gun.
Resident Evil 5 is another solid title in the series, although the chapter system does make it feel a little unlike the older ones. The story is great, and the fact that you can play through it co-op is a plus, there is also a ton of re-playability. The versus mode (400 MS point DLC) is decent fun, with only a few minor things that bring down the gameplay. All in all a great game.
I did not really like this game, I found the camera strange and cumbersome.
Resident Evil 4 is a much more fun game.
So damn good just get it, rent it,or steal it ,well don't do that but you must play this game.
Resident Evil 5 is a great success as a co-op game. Capcom placed a bunch of restrictions with the intent of forcing the players to work together. It works beautifully when you have a human partner, but can be frustrating with the AI partner.
Limited inventory
Each player only has 9 inventory spots. That means you can't carry every type of gun on your own. There are pistols, shotguns, machine guns, rifles, and a few other weapons. By limiting inventory space, it forces each player to specialize in 2 or 3 weapons, making each player better suited for certain situations, and vulnerable to others. It promotes communicating with your partner to whip out the shotgun for a cluster of zombies, or using a rifle to pick off one ranged baddie.
Limited ammo
Ammo is scarce. This again promotes the idea of each character specializing in a weapon, because there isn't enough ammo for the both of you to use the same type of gun. Each type of gun is balanced and useful, so everyone can still contribute.
No run and gun
You can't run and shoot at the same time. This gives the game a more deliberate pace, and encourages well placed shots. You can also melee enemies that are stunned from shots to the arm, leg or head. In general, the combat is varied enough between gunning, punching, explosives, and running around in panic that it stays fun.
All these factors enhance the gameplay when you have another person to play with, but become frustrating in single player. The AI will chew through ammo, and you'll want more types of guns to handle situations yourself. Also the controls are pretty complicated, so there is a learning curve.
On the other hand, the game is beautiful to look at, and excellently paced. There is an ebb and flow between quiet, disturbing areas to swarming packs of enemies. It all translates into escalating tension.
The set pieces and bosses are a joy to play through. They are like puzzles wrapped in mangled flesh and teeth. It's a blast to devise plans while weaving through hoards of zombies. Definitely buy this game if you have someone to play it with.
If you liked RE4 than you will love this game, amazing graphics, great game play, and a good challenge if you like survival horrors than you should pick this up.
I REMEMBER PLAYING RESIDENT EVIL BACK ON THE PS1. I'VE GOT TO SAY RESIDENT EVIL 5 IS A NICE BIG STEP. EVEN WHEN RESIDENT EVIL 4 CAME OUT THINGS WERE CHANGING A BIT. LESS FREAKY BUT MUCH MORE ACTION. RESIDENT EVIL 5 IS ALOT LIKE RE4. YOU ARE CHRIS REDFIELD THAT GOES TO AFRICA. THE PEOPLE ARE ALOT LIKE THE PEOPLE FROM 4 AS FAR AS WHAT THEY DO TO YOU AND HOW THEY WANT TO ATTACK YOU. GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING. THE SHOOTING IF VERY SHARP SHOOTING. THE CONTROL SYSTEM IS JUST LIKE HOW YOU WOULD PLAY RESIDENT EVIL 4. THE CUT SCENES ARE VERY SICK. PLEASE BUY THIS GAME.
I'm not usually a game player and when it came to resident evil games i would just watch my cousin play em so i could see the storyline. Welll it was not the case with this one. I played as a two player with my husband and LOVED IT!!!!!!! We already beat it and i'm eager for them to bring out another one. My only main problem was that when you aim your gun to shoot you cant move anywhere but eventually i got the hang of it(after dying MANY times lol) and everything else more than made up for it. Its worth the [...] bucks!
In a fictional town in Africa, Chris Redfield is on a mission as he joins up with sexy South African mercanary Sheva as they join forces together to find out that a small village has been infected by a mutant virus creatings mutants and zombie-like people made by a secret corporation as they must find it before it gets out everywhere in Africa and the world.
Brilliant installment of the awesome RE series takes the series into a whole different level much like the kickass part 4. I like how you can play 2 player which is a first time for a RE game and of course it has that "Gears of War" style of sharing weapons and healing each other during fighting including switching each other. And like the fourth installment you can break anything and you can get whatever there is like bullets, money and valuable stuff to sell. There's also some optional On-line co-op play with some doding at times during battles, so far it's a great fun game that every fan of RE must play.
Highly recommended! but be warned, this one is the goriest installment yet.
This is another well done resident evil game. Its basically the same as resident evil 4 with the game play and all. I'm going to do pros and cons
Pros
Graphics are amazing. They are the best that I've every seen. They really capture the aspect of the game. Good improvement from RE4.
Game play is still fun with aiming first and then shooting. Not hard to get use to and easy to to use.
Lots of action. This game won't make you keep walking without anything to do but give you so much action you could want.
Cons
The girl is kinda annoying. You can't leave her side or she will die and you fail the level but she does help you some
Ammo feels scarce so you have to use it wisely and not use all of it
Lost the horror feeling and moved to an action typed game. Nothing that will leave you suspenseful
These are just tiny little cons that won't take down the rating
So overall great game and you should go and click buy game and you won't regret it
Resident Evil 4 came out back in 2004 and that felt awesome. This game is still good but after playing Dead Space this feels kind of boring at times. Not as good of a story and the A.I. is[...]. If you liked Resident Evil 4 pick this up it is still a lot of fun. Don't play this by yourself!
Have not played any of the Resident Evil games since Resident evil 2 on the PS1 but after playing this one I might have to go back and play the versions I missed as this is a GREAT game I have only played the co-op with my son, I've not tried one player it may not be as good. Its not as scary as the older versions but its still very intence. I did not find the game short at all it was longer than I expected. Can't wait for RE6.
The whole time, this visceral action game grabbed me by the balls and didnt let up. At times I dreaded turning the corner, and other times I was so hopped up on adrenaline I couldnt be scared. The boss battles have improved from the hard as hell to the fun and innovative. I really enjoyed this game, and the last boss game me fits. Good luck on that one.
Great game ,the graphics will blow ur mind there are so detail that it's like ur there in the action.acting in the game is good but in some parts it's just plain stupid, lots of weapons, but the zombies are to easy to beat, overall stop reading and get it already.
