Graphics and Gameplay are two main things fans need in a game. 2K10 does not lack in either area while Live 10 lacks in graphics. After playing 2K10 a few times you realize that playing in the post is quite difficult and harder to score but I feel that is the reality of the NBA itself. It's not suppose to be easy so I think 2K10 nailed that in the coffin with the CPU's defensive gameplay. The offensive gameplay is pretty much the same as last year but I can't complain because I enjoyed last year's gameplay. As many of others have said the presentation is amazing and that's where Live 10 is no competition. Amazing Game! I Recommend it for NBA gamers.

I'd like to say the game is an improvement, but I feel that something is missing. The AI is much tougher and the controls have changed a bit taking some time to get used to.

Positives

+ Graphics are nice

+ Tough AI

+ New My Player mode

+ Animation is fluid

+ Being able to download draft prospects from other players around the world in association mode.

Negatives

- Not the most up to date rosters. I'm a fan of the OKC Thunder and Serge Ibaka is no where to be seen. There is no player model for Taylor Griffin on Phoenix sons just basic default looking character.

- On Association mode the ranomly generated draft prospects all look to much the same.

- There is really not enough player detail in the player creation to make any one created player look too much different from another player.

2K Sports has managed to keep ahead of the competition for another year with their release of NBA 2K10. The development team has been listening to their fans; The menu selection screens have been made easier to navigate, the graphics tuned up to a surreal level, and the features have been streamlined and tweaked to provide the best basketball simulation on any console. Period.

This game is the best basketball simulation out there, but it isn't perfect. Sometimes the framerate dips a bit in the post, the defensive system can occasionally have players crabwalking twenty feet from the ball, and the reward system in the new my player mode can be frustrating. Still, even with a couple of minor gripes, it's the best. 2K needed to leave something to tweak for 2K11 after all.

I have played this game a few times and I have loved every single second I play the game. Everything from NBA Today to the living Association is nothing short of perfection. I recommend this game for basketball purists and casual fans alike. You will enjoy yourselves greatly as soon as you press the start button.

I have been playing 2k basketball off and on since 2k1 on dreamcast...and the question is always "which is better 2k or nba live" and my answer is 2k10 hands down. it feels as if you are actually on the court. the gameplay is extremely intense. the graphics and physics are superb as well. the franchise mode is deep and will keep you busy. but the biggest addition is the my player mode. build your player from the ground up.

Now to the bad.... If you dont have xbox live to download the latest patches to fix the bugs that were shipped with the game....DO NOT BUY! this game is light years ahead of NBA live but the bugs will turn you away. IF DO HAVE XBOX LIVE YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME! FOR THE PRICE ITS A STEAL! TRUST ME! ALL THE BUGS HAVE BEEN FIXED AND THE GAME IS SMOOTH AS EVER!

add me on xbox live lol--- mnsfinest612

Gameplay is solid and the best way to enjoy basketball on a console. The graphics are well done, but the frame rate is choppy. There are minor glitches and a few things they should have cleaned up before release, but overall a good improvement over previous years and lives up to the 2k basketball franchise.

Very fun game! Don't be afraid to tweak the sliders to adjust difficulty. Cool shot and "finishing around the basket" animations specific to individual players. A lot of depth in the legacy mode.

This is quite possibly the best NBA game I have ever played. But, it is still not perfect. The My Player game mode is great. You get to start out going to workouts. Then, if an NBA team doesn't pick you up, you get sent to the D-League, which is awesome. Every current D-League team is on the game. So you work your way up to the top. A downside to My Player is it takes a while to get your player's rating high. You start out in the 30's and work your way up slowly. Association is basically the same as the precious games, which was fine in my opinion anyway. I also really like the living roster and NBA Today features. NBA Today lists all of the games for the day, and the final scores. There is also signature play, so almost everybody has the same shooting styles, free throw routines, etc. that they do in real life. One complaint I have, is the dribbling. In my opinion, the players do crossovers way too much, which can make moving on fast breaks harder.

Pros:

-Great graphics

-Living Rosters are awesome

-D-League teams are on the game

-Closest thing to a perfect NBA game

Cons:

-Dribbling can be frustrating at times

-My Player rating takes a while to raise

-A few minor glitches (getting let go by a team, then getting picked up by the same team)

Overall, I give this game 5/5 stars, for being the best NBA game out there.

this game feels the same as 2k09. The only thing they have done is improve on graphics and the way you call plays plus other minor things. I also bought live 2010 for the 1st time and believe it or not its really good i would say they both deserve 4 stars but I find myself playing Live more . It isn't that fake basketball feel anymore. It actually plays like 2k WOW.

Back to 2k10

If you have played this throughout the years I think its time to tell them to change it OMG. It kind of annoys me that they are not changing the game play. I really wanted to give 3.5 but its not an option. Don't get me wrong its fun but after 1 game you will feel cheated. If this is your first time getting 2k you will enjoy it more than people like me who has always picked this over live. Buy it if your a fan of 2k but save your money if you want something new. Trust me it feels the same. read other reviews a lot of people are saying the same...

My Son Raj loved this game. When we got it, about 10 of his friends came home to have a look at Graphics and Tricks of this game. As per his comments " The best game we ever got him so far"

I am very happy.

Thanks.

First, let me say that I don't play online, so I haven't encountered the problems that others have. Also, this is the first sports game that I've played on Xbox 360. But so far I love this game, especially the My Player section. True, there are some glitches that are annoying, but I find myself saying 'Just one more game before I quit'. That is how I judge whether or not a game is good or not. I've spent the majority of my time in the My Player and while it's difficult, it's still a blast to play. The only negative that I have, besides the usual glitches which will hopefully be fixed in the patch, is that the game manual doesn't give enough information for those that are brand new to this type of game. I feel it's for those that have played the previous games and too brief. That's why I gave this game 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, I really enjoy it!!
