This is a great game for any person that is even a little interested in comics and their stories. The story is great, there are a tons of very well developed heroes, and I have never played a better multiplayer game. Whenever I have more than two firends at my house that like comics we play this game

Very fun game... and this version (the Gold Version) is great especially if you are not able to be on XBOX Live & want all the extras that they put out after the game is released! If you enjoy the marvel comics, give this game a chance, you will not regret it!

Gold Edition is the way to go, im not even sure why they would sell the original version now. This game is like a beefed up version of the Xmen Legend series with a wide variety of characters from the marvel universe we love and hate, im talking about you Loki, you deceiver! Ultimate Alliance made me feel like i was in the comic books. You will want this version over the original just for the extra heroes and villians like the hulk and venom. With so many characters to choose from and each with different abilities there is plenty of replay value even after you have beaten the main campaign. You can play online with friends or offline. There was a lot of love put into this title, once you play it you will understand.

The most compelling reason to buy this over the Hero/Villain DLC is that the DLC is tied to a single account and the gold edition of the game is not. Sadly I found this out too late and now my son must play on my account to get use of the Hulk or Dr. Doom.

This game is great. The extra characters in the gold edition are the main reason I bought this game and not the standard edition. The best edition to the new characters is the Hulk. He's the most powerful character available to choose from and he takes way more punishment than any of the other characters can. Adding him alone makes this game worth it, but with the additions of Venom, Magneto and the others this game gets a thumbs up all around.

This is a great game. My copy got scratched due to a problem with the Xbox. I bought another Xbox and went to buy a copy and now they are charging over $100 for this game? What happened?????? A profit is one thing but that is ridiculous!

If you define old as "my first game system was pong" then I am old. I stopped buying game systems when my PS1 Tomb Raider games started giving me headaches. My nephew has an XBOX 360 and, being a comic book fan, I decided to try Ultimate Alliance. Well, now I own a copy. I don't know how it compares to other games, but it is a great game if you want to act out your favorite characters.

Ive read thousands of Marvel Comics (seriously) and I will say this is the best and most comprehensive Marvel game out there. Its scope is truly ambitious and the voice-overs perfect, and the storyline original. The ability to choose costumes ranging from different eras is a total plus. Cant wait for the sequel. So until Reed Richards stops using invisible condoms, make mine marvel!

Well, this upgrade of Marvel Ultimate Alliance is really enjoyable, the graphics and the native resolution on a 50" Plasma Tv makes it an exciting experience. The audio on a kenwood home theater and wireless xbox controls complete the scene.

Making teams of villians and superheroes is cool. I've tried with spidey and venom, wolverine and sabretooth and experience is really cool...

Must have for all Marvel and Comics fans out there!

This game has obviously been crafted with the intent of capturing Marvel comic book fans, but do not be fooled, a very solid 4-player Action RPG in the vein of Diablo lies underneath the pretty licensed coat of paint. With tons of skills, unique characters, and a fairly long campaign, this is recommended to any Action RPG fan, especially if you have a few friends that are willing to play along with you.

This game is fairly short and moderately challenging, but the co-op mode is terrific and could provide hours of family fun. I guess the graphics could have been better, but whatever. I still recommend it!

Ultimate Alliance is simply a *must play*. The super heroes come already pretty super but they get better and better over time. Unlocking new uniforms is very worthwhile because they have different attributes. Playing the training missions grants additional bonuses. Basically, each aspect of the game is there for a good reason and adds replayability - great for any RPG.
