I bought Madden NFL 08 because it is the only NFL sim around and I wanted to have the most recent roster. Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine that this game would be so great. I popped it in my 360 and from the time I clicked Start till I turned it off I enjoyed it. If you want a true NFL experience this is the game to get. I used Michael Vick and he sounds like him when making snap counts at the line.

If you can get the game here for cheap then it is way more than your $$ worth.

We all know new Madden, same problems. It's true that Madden is always three years behind itself and having a tough time catching up. The graphics are where they should be, but in other areas it struggles. There are so many bugs and glitches (this is what game testers are for). The rosters and player numbers are wrong and it makes you wonder if Madden should of waited for the start of regular season. Updates? You might not see an update for a while and it will be called "Madden 09". The weapons system takes the fun out of the game and I hardly or never use it. Madden puts new old features back in that were missing in the previous version. Yes, same old voice over announcer that we could all live without...I would rather play in silence then listen to him.

Great game play, as usual, from Madden 08. Add it to your collection. Doesn't disappoint at all. If you play football, you must own it!

This Madden NFL 08 is, to me, everything that made it great. It has so many features, it can keep even the most dedicated game entertained for weeks with all the possbilities. I played both the PS3 and 360 versions, and the 360 is the only way to go. The PS3 version was slow, glitchy, locked up, and the graphics just looked inferior to the 360 version. I strongly recommend that you get this game on the 360 version if you can. It's a lot better on the 360 than anything else. About the gameplay, haven't you ever wanted to take your fav team, add a few players of your own that look like giants on the defensive line, and go and sack the quarterback? How about making your own quarerback, and receivers, and pasting the team you dislike the most by 60 points? Yep, you can do it here, and it's a whole load of fun. Get this one for the 360, it's a lot better than any other one out there.

This game is insanely awesome compared to last year's. I'm sort of new to the Madden series (playing since madden 06), but i think i've seen my share of good and bad maddens. Well anyway, let's start with the good things about this game. You can play as a newly drafted rookie in superstar. DEFINITE plus. You can fully customize a created team and make stadiums, which 07 lacked. Many people like front office mode in Franchise because you can scout players and even relocate your team to various places in North America. On rosters you can edit any player's abilities to make them really bad or good. Weapons is really cool because you can make mismatches to get big plays. Graphics have been totally redone compared to 07 weird lookin graphics. Gameplay is so much smoother! Animations make for a lot better experience. Now for the cons. First, and most importantly, no madden, still that same annoying radio guy. There are less logos to use for created teams.

XBox Madden has got to be one of the best video games on the market. I have been a Playstion fan for a long time and I just purchased the XBox premium system and I have been blown away. The graphics and game play makes playing a sport game unlike anything else. The best ever and I am really feeling that Playstation will never get a chance to really compete with Xbox games.

The Madden on the psp is better than the 360 for the second year in the row. Its unbelieveable that precision passers throw 2-5 a game in 08 for 360. This game is not offense minded at all. Randy Moss, Lavereneus Coles and even Devin Hester can be caught up in this game. Its a d@mn shame. This game looks great though, But until Madden relases its stranglehold on the NFL rights and have some competition, these are going to be some lean years for EA.

I wish there was a 4.5 star rating, because that would be the pick. I'm a converted PS2 user who migrated over to the 360, and Madden represents %90% of what I play on the consoles. When I swithed during the last year, I couldn't believe how terrible Madden 07 was on the console. This year, the folks at EA have put out a FAR improved product.

If you've played on the PS2 in recent years, you'll know what I'm talking about-- essentially, the folks at Madden took much of what really worked well on the PS2 in terms of play-calling and responsiveness and ported that to the 360. The result is far better gameplay, wrapped in an amazing graphical package.

The weapons system is a nice touch, but it's the improved AI, particularly in the secondary, which really makes a difference. I think that it takes more skill to play this year, and I think that there is a bit of a learning curve that some players are going through.

That said, this game is head and shoulders over last year's version and is certainly worth serious consideration for anyone who likes football.

I can definitely see why this football game for Xbox 360 is so popular and why so many people were looking forward to this release. Madden 08 is packed full of awesome graphics, and definitely an upgrade overall as far as the features (such as the training camp for your brand new created player, creating and customizing your champion ring, talking in interviews, hiring agents, and while on the field you can find out your players strength)! I've really never seen anything like this before. My husband has played a lot of different football games in the past (and I'm somewhat familiar with the different football games growing up too) but after I got him Madden 08 and he started playing it, I think this one just about blew him away with the new gameplay, and especially the very detailed graphics! I find myself becoming more and more of a football fan when I watch this game in action because I think it truly is amazing!
