I've bought all the Lego games - my son loves them and I play with him! (I'm addicted to collecting the legos pieces). We're looking forward to the Harry Potter game! This games is fun - a little harder to figure out than the others but still fun.

This is honestly my second favorite LEGO videogame put out by Traveller's Tales so far, right behind LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4. I am a huge Indy fan which could be a big factor of my favor, but the new engine created for the game is a long deserved change-up in the LEGO game universe. LEGO Star Wars 1 and 2, Indana Jones 1 and LEGO Batman are all very similar styles as far as the hubs and gameplay go. Indiana Jones 2: The Continued Adventures add 6 hubs, not just 1; 1 for each original Indy film and 3 for Crystal Skull. My brother and I (He's 21 and I'm 19) loved this game. We weren't able to plow through it because there are so many achievements and unlockable items that you can't simply beat it in one sitting or play-through. We were even getting frustrated in a few levels!

It's understandable how little kids would like this game, but I doubt they'd have the patience or understanding of getting the 100% score after completing all 6 hubs. Just because it's a LEGO game don't believe it's only for kids!

My kids and I play and have solved all the Lego games, including Batman, Star Wars and the 1st Indiana Jones game. We love them! Its nice that this one has a new layout so that we can be challenged a little.

The play is a bit different from the others. Instead of neatly numbered levels, you need to locate the levels. The main levels are easy to find and you just follow the green arrows. After completing the 5 main levels, you need to explore more to find the 10 bonus levels. Instead of minikits and finding the single red brick, you need to complete the bonus levels and collect 3 sets of 10 colored bricks. Then you can purchase the extras, like fast build and score x4. The co-op play is great; its nice not to have to disagree with your partner about which way to go.

This game is a lot of fun for all ages. My 6 year old and 11 year old enjoy it as much as I do!

I wasn't sure about getting this game after some early critical reviews. I got it anyway because my 6 year old and I love the other Lego games, we had to try it. This game definitely delivers. It is too hard to let him play the first time through on his own but he replays the levels fine after we figure them out together. It has lots of replay value for him and we have a lot of fun going through it the first time together.

I am very pleased with the new Indiana Jones 2. It is a lot of fun to play.

Bought this for my kids. Easy enough that my 5 year old can play it and my 12 year old likes it too. The especially like the map creator function!

I got this game because my 4 year old son really enjoyed the first Lego Indiana Jones. The second one shows significant improvements over the first one as far as what you can do in the game. The changes are so significant, you actually need to read the manual and tell your kids how to use them. And obviously it will help if you watch the movie prior playing the game.

I gave this game 4 stars because the game crashes in some part of the level. I hope the developer fix this problem soon. Other than that, the game is fun although learning curve is very steep.

Anybody looking for a game in the mold of all the previous Lego games will be in for a surprise with this one. It is fairly different. The core game play is the same, however there is no central hub level anymore. There are a number of hubs that spawn their own levels. The majority of the collecting and search tasks found through out the previous games are now located in each of these hubs. There is almost no hidden stuff in the main levels. I also have found this game some what easier than the previous games. At times it can be confusing as there is very little help.

I have had the game lock up twice, but neither time was at a terribly critical moment where I lost any accomplishments. I have also experienced another glitch that resulted in having to replay a number of levels before a bonus level of X-Box Achievement would unlock.

Overall, I have enjoyed this game but it is not my favorite of the Lego series. (Star Wars Complete Saga, is the best)

this one is much better than the first. a lot of fun for all ages and they did very well at not repeating from the last attempt. adding Lego to any movie seems to work. great for all ages and the whole family.

Sell the old one buy the new.

Ok, first off, I did like this game.

BUT, this game might be one of the worst designed messes in recorded history. They took the simple game design of previous Lego titles and, well, discarded all of it.

First off, the hub --- rather than being a quick portal to game levels --- is now a level of its own. Which means you get to FIND where the levels are. Fun. Rather than making it easy to locate, you have to search the map to find them. The movement speed is slow enough to make this annoying if you know precisely where they are...but, particularly when you are doing bonus levels, finding them is a chore.

And, when you find them, you get the next joy. You usually have to use specific characters to open them up...but you cannot pick characters from a menu. You have to find their spawn points in the level to get them. And since a regular posse of 6 folks are there, if you need two irregular characters, its going to be a chore pulling it off. Why you cannot just pick who you want is inexplicable.

Mission variety is lacking. Story levels consist of a car battle, huge slugfest, boss fight, and two platforming levels. It lacks variety heavily. The vehicles also handle quite poorly, so the vehicle missions and hub races ain't much fun.

The "super bonus" levels from prior games return, but are far easier and are now simply easy strolls and not nightmarish headaches. This is the one real improvement.

Being saddled with the lame IJ movie is bad enough...but adding in bafflingly poor design is unforgiveable. If you love Lego games, get it. Otherwise, it will disappoint.

This is definitely far more advanced than the first game. This has many more challenging levels, bonus levels and lots of things to buy. Some times gets frustating of the lengthy. Some may like it and may not.

Pros:

Many levels and sublevels to play.

Matured design

Cons:

Takes lot of time and thinking

Need to buy lot of items like flight, jeep, camel etc and people to

Confusing as you can finish any level at any time in NO particular order, which leads to game finish with out finishing all levels.

Over all, it feels good as the LEGO team has done a great job.

Have fun digging, earning, and spending the coins.

Cheers

Kiran

My boyfriend and I who are pretty big gamers picked up this game while taking a vacation as something to do while sitting at home, away from work. We are also big fans of all the Lego Games and have really enjoyed playing each game.

If you've played the first Indiana Jones then you know how it's set up. However with the 2nd installment things have changed. One brilliant change is that when you're playing in two player mode and one player wants to wander off without the other, it turns into a split screen allowing you to roam as far as you want away from the other player. In the first Indiana Jones you were stuck with each other and could only travel through the levels together never able to branch off. This is great until you try and do a vehicle challenge, then I would suggest having one of the players drop out. Driving/Flying around a level in split screen mode is almost impossible since the split screen moves with the player making it difficult to see checkpoints you need to hit to complete the race.

Also, if you've played the first one you might be disappointed in the amount of material in this game. While there are more levels, it seems to focus more on Bonus challenges than the material from the movies. The Movie-Levels are drastically shorter and there aren't very many of them. There are also 10 bonus levels in each stage that are quite simple and easy to solve. You also lose the ability to switch between characters once you've acquired them during game play. You get the characters by beating challenges and if you discover you need a certain character you have to go find them. It's frustrating at times.

Like other reviewers have said, this game freezes and glitches often. We played it (and beat it) in a week and had the game freeze on us several times losing all unsaved data before the freeze. There were also times where a vehicle was lost and did not regenerate in the correct spot or come back at all.

Considering we still have unfinished missions/challenges on the first Lego Indiana Jones shows that this new updated version doesn't measure up to the first one but the game is still fun. I would say to rent this game instead of purchasing it since it's much easier and simpler than it's predecessor.

I was so excited when I heard this game was coming out--I'm not really a gamer at all and the only game I ever played on my boyfriend's XBox was the game it came with : Legoland Indiana Jones, and I loved it! I actually found it challenging but doable (I'm 22 so that should tell you something about my skills). I was almost disappointed when I beat it. So when I heard they were making another one, I was stoked. I realized after only about one evening playing it that no matter how hard I tried, I could not get into this game and found it a little boring and tedious.

1. There is a race in just about every level you do. I suck at driving in video games but in this game in particular. The controls are so fiddly that if you accidentally move a little too far to one side your vehicle hits something and flips over and you have to wait for it to flip back over. It's especially frustrating when you flip over in a pond or something because usually the vehicle won't right itself. It's just like spinning your tires in the mud in real life, except it's more irritating than real life because it's supposed to be a fun video game. Also, I hate the little race challenge things where you have to go through the targets, because, again, the driving in this game is really fiddly--even more so than the original. So the races are tedious AND frustrating... fun!

2. The game freezes... a lot. I'm glad to see that other people have this problem and it's not just our XBox.

3. You don't collect treasure chests in the levels, and the levels are much smaller. There are hardly any puzzles or secrets at all, which was what I loved about the first game and what made it so great. There is nothing really to unlock, no surprises... except car races ad nauseum. Sometimes I would be doing something that I thought would be a puzzle but then the game just... handed it to me. The puzzles seemed dumbed down.

4. The setup of the game is a mess. I like to watch the progression of the Indiana Jones stories but in this game you can unlock any level at any time in its particular movie's hub. You don't really get to see the iconic moments in the movies the way you want because you can go do the bridge fight first and then go to another level and jump out of the plane on the liferaft. It's just not the same. A lot of times I didn't even see what the level had to do with the movie at all.

5. I forgot the one other huge aspect of the game--defeating enemies. If you're not doing a car chase, you're fighting a bunch of enemies, and once you defeat those enemies... the game gives you another batch of enemies. Really repetitive.

The game is still enjoyable to a point. I would guess that if you had never played the first game you would like this game a lot. But if you've played and loved the first you can see what you're missing in this one. The levels are still pretty to look at. Indy still does cute things, but I don't think he can do the whip-kiss with Marion, Willie, and Elsa. What I was most disappointed about was that the two parts of the first game I liked the least were brought front and center in this game and the part I loved most was almost eliminated completely.

Like I said, I wanted so much to love this game, but I just couldn't. I hope Harry Potter delivers.
