To sum it up quickly, if you are not into the Batman universe as much as Star Wars or Indiana Jones dont expect to like this game as much as your first 2 experiences. The game does not offer online co-op, I played for about 4 hours and have experienced as many glitches in which the game froze or I had to restart the level (no doubt they'll be a patch out soon though). Expect the game to jump around from plot to plot, as it does NOT follow any specific movie, sitcom, or comic plot. All negatives aside if you ARE into all of the Batman-ness then there's no doubt you'll love this game. If I were you, I would borrow the copy that you convinced your friend to buy.

I absolutely loved the Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones games and was so excited about a new Lego product coming out. When I finally got my hands on it, I was so confused by how this game could be so DIFFERENT from the others. Not only is the storyline a complete muddled mess, the game itself is difficult to play: the play screen is a jumble of too many things going on at once - a chemical spill, shiny tanks you can't destroy until free play much later, a busy graffitied wall you may or may not be able to demolish. It's a total mess and just frustrating to play.

I gave up after a few levels because it was so aggravating and just plain not enjoyable. I'm glad I borrowed this from someone and didn't waste good money.

I loved playing this game because it is so much fun. I like that when you beat the game you can be bad guys.

This game is actually fun to play when you have someone else to play with, but is completely boring and dull when playing single player. This *might* not be a problem if the authors had actually managed to implement online play as they did in Star Wars: The Complete Saga. Unfortunately, much like their misstep in LEGO: Indiana Jones, they inexplicably left out all multiplayer game functionality. This unfortunately rendered the game completely boring for me. The inane NPC AI is enough to drive you insane after about 2 hours.

When the developers actually realize it's 2008 and implement online play, this game might be worth purchasing. In the meantime, save yourself the $50 and rent it for a couple bucks at your local Blockbuster.

it's just not very fun, it seems like they were trying to cash in and made this game too hastily. It's not a good game for kids, especially kids that are used to the gameplay on Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones. The puzzles in this game are much more difficult, primarily because there are many completely random "puzzles" (i.e. you are not actually solving a puzzle, but rather you need to randomly luck out by happening to run into a wall with a certain car, certain ice is breakable by bombs, but certain ice is only breakable by bulldozer, etc). There are extras in the game that if you do not get exactly right on one single attempt, you will have to replay the level for another chance.

Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones were fun enough to replay to the point of getting 100% of the items. This game is probably not even fun enough to complete for most people (my son did it, but laboriously, and only for the sake of doing it to be done with the game).
