This game got to my house faster than i expected. Its a really great game but I only got to play it for 1 day because my Xbox got the red rings of death the same I got the game.:(

This game is very fun. It does only have 4 maps but they way it is never the same is great. Also if you system link or play with friends you know it is all that much better. I don't recommend playing with people you don't know very often because some people just get stupid and start shooting you for no reason or leave you behind. But I recommend this to any Zombie or FPS fans out there.

the game is good but its very short. i rented the game and i beat the first area in maybe 1 hour 30 minutes or so. also you dont get that many guns and you will get tired of seeing the same enemies over and over again. its very repitive. maybe part 2 will be better. i tried to play the other areas of this game but got bored with it very quickly. the good thing though is how the zombies act. they act real and when you kill them i like how they fall to. really realistic like. also having 4 characters on screen is really nice to. if you get hurt your teammates will automatically heal you up so you probably wont never die but even still it gets boring very quickly. im gald i rented it and not bought it.

After buying my son a X-Box 360 Game System, I have to admit, I couldn't wait to purchase this, a locked and loaded, addictive first person shooter filled with excellent plot lines, graphics and fairly easy to navigate environments for myself. The carnage is swift, bloody, and highly graphic and the characters all have foul mouths (as I do when facing down a seemingly indesctructable "Tank")which earns this game the Mature rating.
The game is divided up into individual plot line chapters which play like short movies where the survivors have to search for an escape mode (helicopter, boat, plane, and military transport). Each chapter is relatively short. The game is easy to get the hang of, although my wife is still having a difficult time adjusting to the controls.
The game provides excellent sonic cues and warnings for dangerous elements like Hunters (leaping zombies who tear you apart), smokers (grotesque monsters with whip-like tongues), witches (they are DANGEROUS), Tanks (use an M-16 on them. You and your team mates will have to use several clips to bring them down) and hordes (several zombies bum-rushing you), so you can anticipate vicious attacks and strategize.
I have only played in the single player mode and, therefore cannot comment on any of the other playing options.
That said though, this game has proven (for this reviewer) worth the hype and worth every escapist moment.

This game is alot of fun, and creepy. Alot of people complain about AI in video games, but I think the AI in this game is awsome. My Ai teamates were usally always ahead of me and would spot things I didn't And your the one to lead the way, which is better than if you were playing two players. It was alot of fun, even just playing single player.

Left 4 Dead is a great game. Made for online multiplayer action to enjoy with your friends. Perfect!

This game blew me away. It's so fun. It is one of few games that really encourages teamwork. Try to do it alone and you won't make it very far. You play as one of four survivors who work together to... Just survive really. You can play alone with computers, but the real fun is in playing with friends. I play split screen with my bro all the time. Very fun game. Would recommend it. Especially if you get it to play with friends or that roommate.

This game is great. I would have paid full price for it but got a great deal because it's a year old. I see why all the reviews are so good. It's a super fun game to play by yourself, but even better playing with friends or random people over Xbox live.

I ordered this game August 1st and received it on the 24th. You would think a game like this would come early but it didn't so this is my main problem with this. Overall game disc is in good shape and plays very well!!!

One of the best shooter game of the last year. The Game of the Yer edition presents new campaing modes for multiplayer experience, wich is unique in this game. Walk through cities, country side, inside airports and a hospital filled with zombies' hordes is a really fascinating experience, and much better for fans of zombie movies. With action at every momments, it's possible to have lot of fun hearing the characters' inside game dialogue.
Um dos shooters mais legais do ano passado. A edição "Game of the Year" apresenta novos modos de campanhas para a experiência multiplayer, que é única nesse jogo. Ande pelas cidades, campos, dentro de aeroportos e um hospital repletos de hordas zumbis é realmente uma experiência fascinante, e ainda melhor para quem é fã de zombie movies. Com ação a cada instante, ainda é possível se divertir muito escutando o dialogo dos personagens no jogo.

Great multiplayer game, offline is kinda boring so if u have no xbl, i would not suggest this, goty edition comes with survival dlc but its free over xbl anyways so if u just buy the reg. edition instead of this you can save yourself some money and just download the dlc free from xbl.

first i want to get somthing strait, this is not a scary game unless you are terrified of zombies this game to me is pure fun. there are four levels in the game i know it sounds like a short game but the creators managed to keep it interesting by bringing in the A.I dirictor if you dont know what it is its pretty simple, it changes the location of zombies,weapons and ammo changing it every time you play. the main goal in the levels is to move from safehouse to safehouse killing zombies along the way until you get to the last level and call a rescue vehicle each campaign is treated as its own game so the campaigns arent related. there isnt much of a story to L4D: 4 survivors that are immune to the infection must fight there way to rescue. some of the level layout is kind of repatative but its easy to get over. co-op is a lot of fun, people say that you need xbox live is needed to keep you entertained, i dissagree but having live does help. this game is without a doubt one of the best games i have ever played and possibly one of the best games ever made for the xbox 360.
