Yeah I'm 22 years old I played this because it came with my 360 and I really enjoyed this game yeah its short but wow it was really fun and I have played it three times to unlock everything I'd actually recommend this game.
The first gradert enjoys this game very much. It was purchased new. No complaints.
I stepped into a Best Buy with my wife so she could check out a camera. I was standing buy the xbox display and a preview of this game came on and it looked fun. Mind you ive not seen the movie other than the movie trailers at the theater/tv and the game trailer at BB. I started playing the display game and was just having a blast and made it all the way through the demo. I looked back and my wife was sitting on the floor watching the game and commented how much fun it looked. We bought the game right there not reading a review which I just dont do but the demo was that much fun.
I brought it home and started playing, my son stepped in and just had to give the game a try and also was very impressed with the game and we tried the multiplayer and its also very fun. The graphics are top notch and the game play is one of the best for this genre of games, and the multiplayer is a blast, the voice overs are the ones from the movie and nicely done and great features like collecting coins to buy new costumes, increase health, dexterity, fighting skills etc. I would recommend this game to anyone that like to play games on an xbox and its very user friendly with good controls layout and just downright FUN!!!
We received this game as part of the Xbox 360 holiday bundle. Normally, I enjoy PC games of the MMORPG variety - but I gave this a try with my 8 year old step-daughter and it was a riot. The characters are all fun to plan for both young and old. Even the 4 year old was enjoying pushing buttons and playing with Po.
I'm definitely going to sit down and play through the single player levels myself as the story is cute and entertaining.
We like the multi-player levels as well, the puzzles are fun but the bashing up on each other is hilarious - especially when you accidentally jump off a platform all on your own.
Kung Fu Panda was a totally awesome movie and then the game came out and I decided to get it. I'm pretty glad I did. This is a very good game with Amazing graphics, gameplay, characters and other things. Plus you can play as more than just Po, you can play as the furious five and master Shifu! That's cool. They all have cool combo attacks and have different abilities! Game is kind of short and Ti Lung is very hard to defeat. All in all Kung Fu Panda is worth getting, and in my opinion the best E10+ game that I played and owened!
i usally dont like games based off of movies but this one is an aception. its really fun. jackblack is funny, the levels are detailed really well. its a platformer mixed with fighting action elements. i really recommend this for kids, but if your a platformer fan or jus like fun beat em up /platformers then buy this. its not hard at all either.
I bought this game for my 4 1/2 year-old. he watched the kung-fu panda movie and I thought he might enjoy the game as well. of course, an adult has to be around to guide him thru the game, but we found it appropriate, non-violent and very detailed. This package came w/ Indiana Jones as well, but my son was not crazy about it.
Overall I recommend this game, given the lack of violence and the popularity of the main character.
The game is no different from the movie, so if you loved the movie you'll love the game.
Graphics/characters: Very nice indeed. Visual presentation is beautiful, it kept the same look like the movie.
Gameplay/technical issues: I had no technical issues so overall the game was well done. Some of the quests can be frustrating because even if you save a game at the certain spot, if character loses life, it does not mean that it will load the part you saved but you will end up redoing the part you just finally overcame. So for this it gets 4/5.
What is also fun is that you can play the game with up to 4 people but it is only in combat mode against each other or against other enemies. I noticed that sometimes the camera angle can be disorienting and the characters can be so small that it makes it diffucult to figure out where you are/or what you are doing when a hoard of boars attack you. You need to run or jump around to figure out where you are. The battle mode is best looking on a very large screen or you can put your face few inches away from the screen too :)). What I liked very much as well are the fighting moves ... the combos, the special hits, there are so fun to do.
So overall, it is a fun game that you want to play more than once.
Made my Grandson Mike's kindergarten graduation day when I gave him Kung Fu Panda game for Xbox 360...he loves....it
Let me start off by saying that I am a 30 year old male and that I absolutely love this game. Normally I would not purchase games of this genre, but since i loved the movie so much, I went ahead and picked it up. This game has great depth, believe it or not, and has good replay value. The graphics and controls are amazing and the fun factor is top notch, mos def. I recommend this to anyone of any age, If you are an experienced gamer, then I would set the difficulty level to dragon warrior, but the normal setting is still a good challenge. I promise that you will not be upset with your purchase of this game.
This game was fun for my whole family, ages 5 and up. Easy to learn, fun to play. I believe story mode is one player and then there are several multiplayer minigames. We just take turns and play together. We love Kung Fu Panda!
I admit I was very skeptical about this game, but after playing through it with my wife, I was impressed. Admittedly, the camera maneuvering needed some work, but every fighting/platform game seems to suffer from that. I really enjoyed the simplicity of it all. The mechanics were basic, but the graphics really stood out. I honestly had a hard time at some points visually distinguishing between this game and the movie. I was in Wal-Mart one day buying cat food, and looked over to the electronics section thinking they were displaying the game (it was the movie). Yes, it's an animated movie, so it's not too much of stretch graphically, but it was nice to play a game that actually matched up to its movie counterpart in some areas. The voicing was done well for most of the voice over's being those other than the original actors. Overall it was a fun game to play through. Best animated movie turned videogame I have played in a long time.
When I first got this game, I expected it to be fairly bad. But after playing it, I found that it can be a load of fun!
The controls are simple to use, just the stick and buttons. There are many combos you can use, but you will mainly just be using two buttons. This is a game where you can get away with not using most of the combos offered. There are also cutscenes where you will have to quickly press different buttons in order to defeat boss enemies.
The graphics are amazing. The characters move fluidly, so there won't be any of those awkward scenes where the character moves like a robot.
The camera takes some getting used to because the angle it's at is kinda weird and can make it hard to see sometimes. It's not terrible though, but you will have a few times of frustration with it.
The game itself is very, very short. An experienced player will be able to completely dominate it in 6 hours or under.
Overall, this is a great game that's just way too short. I would recommend this as a game to rent for a night or two, or to buy it as a quick time passer when you've got 15 or 20 minutes to kill.
I found this game extremely amusing. Jack Black is great, the graphics are excellent, and the gameplay is cool. They've gone to great lengths to make this an exciting game.
Unfortunately the game isn't very long and can be beatten in 3-6 hours depending on how much xbox you play. In my opinion this makes for a killer rental game.
The 2-player is basic arcade "mortal combat" style stuff with a few other side-games, but there is no 2-player story mode.
This is a well-designed game translated from a movie. The graphics are good, and gameplay is consistent. There's enough variation to keep a seasoned player from getting bored. The cutscenes are entertaining and humorous.
In terms of gameplay, keep in mind that this game is relatively short, and probably will not take a seasoned player more than 5 hours or so to complete. Each level has a specific set of optional challenges, however, so to complete each level "100%", you may need to play each level at least twice, and sometimes three times. As with any "fighting" game, there is a wide variety of button combos to unleash various types of attacks. This is a button-masher game. It's quite easy to get through most enemies by using only slight variations, or one or two buttons. Again, this game is designed for everybody "10 and up", so if you're looking for a real challenge, this game might not be for you. The game even sports an upgrade system, so you can increase Po's powers and abilities, which seems to make the game even easier.
The sound in this game is good. I enjoyed the voice-acting. The music helps set the mood. Sound-effects are standard for this type of game, but don't expect to be blown away by any of it.
The game has one annoying design flaw which I cannot forgive. When you complete a level, the only on-screen option is to "upgrade" or go to the "next level". You cannot launch a menu to "replay" the level you just completed (in case you did not complete it 100% and want to try again). You have to launch the next level, wait for it to load, bypass the cutscene, exit the game, and then load the level you want to play from the menu. This involves entirely too much effort to replay a level.
Overall, this is a fun game to play. It does not have a lot of replay value, however, and for an experienced gamer, it may provide only 10 hours or so of entertainment. However, it is a good diversion from the standard shooters, if you're looking for a quick break between games.
