Microsoft has done it again, if anyone gives halo 3 anything beneath a 4 star, they are just bad at the game and like to complain. the game is the best multiplayer game in the history of gaming period. The single player is quick and easy, which is what it was made for. So shut up tearing it apart because ur a noob and you suck at the game. Its the best game ever, and the sales back up my opinion.

It almost lived up to the hype. Considering this game broke entertainment industry records and established one of the largest fan followings before it was even released, that's saying a lot. It had a lot to live up to.
Halo 3 brings back some parts of Halo 1 that I loved, and kept the Halo 2 elements that worked. If you're a fan of the series, you won't be let down. The campaign is a bit short, but I'm looking forward to playing through it again, and online play never gets old.
If you're not a fan of the series, don't expect this one to change your mind -- it's still a Halo game and it doesn't try to be anything else.

So, because you bought a PS3 and don't have any games to play on it, you have to come to the Halo 3 review website and make up fony negative reviews. Wow, high class ladies...high class.
Anyway, this game is everything promised from finished to end. If you have a 1080p tv you are going to love life for the 10 or so hours the campaign takes, and for the hundreds of hours you will spend playing the harroine/multiplayer. Very addictive.
Story is great, cutscenes are great, multiplayer is great, ending is great...Halo 3 is it!!!

one of my new pet peeves after i got my xbox is how great people think halo is. i have a friend who does not own an xbox and we were talking about halo and i said that halos multiplayer is pretty boring and he replied halo can never get boring really? sure its kind of fun but i can barley keep my interest through one round of slayer. the campaign is short ( 10 levels) but its fun.the story to halo seemed like it would be in a teen game not an m game but i still enjoyed it and co op campaign makes this game a lot easier if you trying to beat it on the higher difficulty. i never play multiplayer its just so pointless the only multiplayer i am interested in is odst's wich to me seems like a lot more fun. so in all halo 3 is a good game that for a while is fun and if you play it ever so often then it will be fun for a while but playing this game too much will make you hate it. multiplayer is crap in my mind and dont plan to spend any time playing online nothing but good old halo campaign for me.p.s if you are a fan of halos multiplayer for some reason dont waste your points on buying new maps for it just wait for odst its gonna have all halo three maps ever plus some new ones and a good multiplayer wow a first!you probably already knew that though.

first off, i'd like to say that i never played halo or halo 2 before, so i am not one of those halo supernerds. Still, this is the best game i've ever played. i just don't get why people complain about how tough the enemies are. try thinking about this, YOU SUCK!!! i liked the game alot, but i think that it isn't going to be as good as some stuff that bungie will put out in the future. even though i gave it 5 stars, i still am wondering why people were saying it was going to be perfect. ya i like the game, but still, i've played better. this is all coming from a "dumb jock" gamer, and i still had no huge trouble with any of the levels. the best thing about the game is it's AMAZING AI. if a game doesn't have good AI, i wouldn't play it. i felt like the ending of the game really set it up for HALO 4.

Being a big fan and avid player of the Halo series since its first release in 2001, I was really excited before the release of Halo 3. This game is ridiculously good in the single player and multiplayer but has some flaws.
The graphics in Halo blow the other two out of the water. The scenery, the look of the environments, and the character models, the gun models, explosions and amount of things on the screen at once make Halo 3 great when it comes to graphics. I didn't really find any flaws graphic wise.
The sound in this game is of course good once again. The sound in Halo 1 and 2 were both great, and they came correct once again in part 3. Also didn't find no flaws here.
The controls in H3 are very very easy to learn. If you have played Halo 1 and 2, you will have no problem what so ever learning this game. Only difference is using the right bumper instead of the button "x". You use the right bumper to reload, and enter/exit vehicles etc. Besides that, easy.
The amount of features in this game is really good. The single player has better and more fun levels. The enemies are smarter, and usually a mix of the covenant and brutes while fighting. Another good feature is being able to play the campaign with 4 people total, so for people that want to beat the game on Legendary, this can be done with ease :-) and also makes it more fun. The single player has a decent length and is basically comparable to Halo 1/2 in how long it is.
The multiplayer is of course where Halo 3 shines! The maps are great, some are mediocre, and Bungie has already released 2 map packs. Just like in Halo 2, there is a number rank, up to 50. But this time in Halo 3, you get army like rankings which require you to get to a certain "number rank" before getting the tag. There is Recruit, Apprentice, Private, Corporal, Sergeant, Gunnery Sergeant. To get those rankings I just listed you have to get EXP, which stands for experience, each time you win, you gain 1 exp point! Next rankings are Lieutenant(Lvl 10), Captain(Lvl 20), Major(Lvl 30), Commander(Lvl 35), Colonel(Lvl 40), Brigadier(Lvl 45), General(Lvl 50). So I basically thought this ranking system they added is cool, and adds more to the multiplayer.
Some of the flaws in this game come from the multiplayer of course. One thing I found that happened quite often, is when I'm sniping, I will hit a person, and it will show blood come out, but they are still at full shields/health. This has also happened after sniping them in the head which is very odd. Also, when there is lag in the games, some ridiculous and odd things can happen. Another flaw, is when using the swords. I have had a few times when I'd fly at someone with the sword connect with them and hit them perfectly, and it doesn't bring they're shields down one bit.
So overall, is Halo 3 with the buy? Of course it is, the few flaws it has doesn't bring the game back too much. You'll have fun on the multiplayer for sure. Pick this up!

I dont see how this this game gets a 1 or 2 rating! That is just stupid people. I can see no less than a 3. I give it a 5, it is the best and most fun game since mario 3 on nes! The grapics still to this day are the best on xbox360 ever. I just tried out like fracture and army of 2 and bad company and riddic and all the bad guys look generic and horrible graphics wise. On all the halos the bad guys look as good as the main characters. The weapons are kewl, the vehicles you drive and fly are the best vehicles and best controls of vehicles ever. The reviews of people that rated the game a 1 are a joke, one guy said weapons cant zoom in enough, without scope they are like any other game and there are 2 sniper rifles, 2 machine guns with scope. The negatives are, well the biggest for me is, after playing the call of duty online death matches, halo just is cheesy for me, the graphics are great, but you gotta duel wield like both clips to kill someone, or 2 sniper rifle shots to kill someone, and everyone is just jumping around like there is no gravity. If you never played call of duty you will love it, but if you played call of duty then it isnt as good as it. The game is short, like you beat the game and you are like that is it?
Main thing is if you liked the other halo games you will like this, if you didnt like them then you wont like 3. If you never played halo then download the original on xbox for 1200 points cause it is still better than a lot of the games for 360, so fun.

I actually bought this as a replacement for my original copy and was ecstatic to receive this in the mail (I actually was, weird huh?). For those of you who have never heard of the best FPS (First person shooter) game ever created to the XBOX 360 console, the graphics are amazing compared to the first two games and this game has many additional objectives other than just beating the game. Finding things like skulls (to unlock special armor) dramatically increase the games replay value.
One of the best abilities of this game that made it worth buying twice for me is my online multiplayer addiction. People of all skill levels play together, sometimes based on skill, sometime not (players choice), I made friends online and invited my personal friends to join as well,
this game is an easy A+++!

Halo set a new bar for FPS and over all game quality when it was released. Halo 3 doea it again. I just finished playing it in Heroic mode and it is simply the absolutely best computer or console game ever (keeping in mind I am totally a FPS fan).
Some segments are glaringly hard but most are pretty straight forward or require a little rethinking till you get the strategy right. The digestive tract like high charity definitely kicks up the flood a notch.
Graphics and overall quality are a significant improvement over Halo 2 and the story length, story line and overall satisfaction are much better than Halo 2.
The ending sequence with the Warthog is a blast from the past Halo ending that is updated with musical dropping checkerboard squares.
Special effect and music sound quality is excellent, but I often had difficulty understanding voice instructions during said music and sound effects. (That being said I am 62 and hearing is not what it used to be (maybe subtitles woud be good)).
Halo was the ultimate game for the XBox and this is for the 360. If you dont have it Buy it Bungee did a fantastic job and I cant wait to see what they do next.
