I purchased this game because the call of duty line has always been one of my favorite. The game is fun, the story line is great and the online xbox live option is even better. You can play online and earn rank and new weapons. Warning this game is addictive.

This is probably the best COD game yet. The solo player game is awsome!!! alot more challanging than the previous COD games. also, once you beat the game you can play "Zombies" on co-op mode which your in a building and zombies are trying to get in and you and others go as long as you can until your taken over. Multiplayer is about the same as COD4 except the graphics are WAY better on this one. you can call in dogs which are a pain in the a$$ to kill and much more. I definatly reccomend picking up this title.

This game is the first Call of Duty game I have purchased (I got it at launch) and really enjoy it. The campaign is fun the first time around but ends up getting tiring. The online multiplayer is the real way to have some fun on a Friday night and I highly recommend it. After playing this game I wanted to own the fourth one to get ready for Modern Warfare 2, and saw GOTY edition at best buy for $50.00 plus tax. I quickly returned it and ordered it on Amazon for $38.99 (FREE SHIPPING) anyways, I highly recommend Cod 4 and WaW both to quench your gaming needs in preperation for MW2.

Listen if you liked COD 1,2,3 and the Medal of Honor series this game is definitely for you. I almost didn't buy this game because some people reviewing this game said that it "sucked" because it didn't beat Call of Duty 4. Look, they are just old Rainbow Six nerds who are mad because they have to wait another six months until COD6. This is a great game...don't get me wrong, COD4 is was a sick game but this just as good but with the ww2 theme. Just because they don't have modern weapons doesnt mean this game automatically sucks. This game is not suppose to compete with COD4, they are two completely different games so how can you compare them? I bet you half of these reviewers didn't even play the game. I have played every COD, MOH, Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games and this game beats them all. This is well worth your money...take this from an UNBIASED reviewer and not from some old nerd living in his moms basement whose mad because he has to use a mosin nagent instead of an m16.

The game i thought has been amazing. Its the same gameplay as the fourth one but in the WWII era. Graphics have been awesome and really impressed with the campaign mode. Treyarch did a good game actually this time

This game is not anything like cod 4, This game takes place back to ww2, just like cod 3, but not much switching sides and there is more action. The story plot is easy to understand, it's really just having a bunch of people dying and killing everyone you see.

Now the weopons, these guns are used back in the 1900's ( brownings, mg42, gwewer 42, ppsh 41, magnum etc) so don't get to surprised. The guns aren't as fun to use as cod 4's.

Gameplay is very good, but it gets very annoying when someone snipes you on live or stepping on a bouncing betty, so beaware of that. Now you can customize your character and have perks( add ons to make yourself stronger).

Nazi zombies are available after you finish the game, but now they give it to you for free. Nazi zombies are very fun, especially with split screen or xbox live with 4 people. It's about survival where you have to try to survive as long as you can. There some new guns you can use against zombies, the ray gun. , but its a challenge still because the zombies are extremely strong ( 2 hits and you die ). There are three more maps available on live marketplace and can be purchase with 800 points. Don't expect it to be like left for dead though, the zombies will come to get you instead.

overall it's a good buy, but i recommend cod 4 more if you want to play multiplayer.

ok you can either like the campaign, and even if you dont like that you still got Xbox live which is on point. So I can garuntee that you will LOVE something about this game. The campaign is challenging and fun, and not to short but not to long. and of coarse when you beat it you get some fun stuff to. Xbox live is where it is at. Much better than Halo. You dont run in to those guys who have no lifes and play halo all day, so there is no point. IN COD WAW you actually can have the upper hand on someone with your equipment. So no fear, jump on in to COD: WaW and I sure you will never stop playing it.

My friends and I had some hands-on time with the new COD last night. First impressions are good. It did take some getting used to. There are no more laser sights and it is a bit darker than before, which can make it tough to spot and kill enemies. Overall it just seems less polished and precise than COD4. It is very solid, but will probably not blow people away the way COD4 did. Is it the best game I've ever played? No. But it still belongs right up there with the best in my collection.

That being said, here is why everyone should get it right away:

The multiplayer rocks.

I know that is where I spent most of my time in COD4. For everyone who complains, "Not another WWII game!", the story and setting don't really matter once you get into the online play.

The maps are great and seem well thought out. There is a good deal of variety and you never seem to find yourself too far from the action,

There are tanks! There are not jeeps and motorcycles everywhere to cause every idiot to go zipping around the boards like hummingbirds on crack, just a well-placed tank here and there to add some spice to the open areas.

You can tell your party members apart from the crowd! When we played, I noticed that the people in your party show up as a different color (blue) than everyone else. This makes it easy to tell exactly where they are and actually join up with them. It made it much more enjoyable to be able to get in on the action and actually play with my friends instead of just talking to them while I went off on my own. Gone are the days of, "Where are you?" "I am over by that abandoned building" "Which one?" " The one with the caved in roof" " You mean the factory?" "I think it is a warehouse" "By the machine gun?" "Never mind, I just got killed."

Add that to the new ability for eight person private chat, and you will actually be able to play together with your friends without ever hearing another annoying 12 year old!

Co-op campaign seems awesome. You can actually play through the story mode online as a four person squad instead of just by yourself. You can even set it to be competitive and keep track of each player's stats so you can compare kills and such. You can also use some cheat cards you find during the game to keep it interesting. There are even multiplayer achievements.

I haven't unlocked the flame-thrower yet, so we'll see if it is as awesome as it sounds.

This game was excellent for being WW2. Multiplayer is what skyrockets this game. My fiends and I love to play for hours. Plus the zombie mode is great with 4 maps plus a lot of multiplayer maps. The downloads for the game are with the little extra green you have to shell out to get them. They did an excellent job on this game and I am expecting the same from Modern Warfare 2. So I will keep my fingers crossed. I recommend this game to any FPS fan or and WW2 fan like me.

My wife bought me this because I play the hell out of CoD4, needless to say I jump online and start whipping some butt when all of a sudden I get killed. I didn't see the guy even though on the map it should he was right in front of me. So I watch the replay and this M:F:er is under the damn map. I was really starting to enjoy this game until that point. I then looked at her and she had the same puzzled look as I did. Needless to say I then got pissed of and started the campaign. I'm half way through it and everything is just... ok. It just looks like the company took the infinity ward design from CoD4 and mod'd it a bit and shazam you got CoD5. Heck even some of the graphics look outdated like I was playing day of defeat. Anyways I don't recommend this game seeing I am going back to CoD4 until they fix the damn glitches so cheaters can't get underneath the map!

I just got this game, and I need help figuring out which button I push to shoot the gun. Please help. I'm playing this on Xbox Live, and people are calling me a noob.

Edit: 1/14/08 After a couple days of online research, and looking through the instruction manual I figured out you shoot with the right trigger.
