I got this game at launch and totally love it. The single player was a little short but that's ok because the multiplayer is what I was looking forward to most.

There are so many guns and things to unlock in multiplayer that it will keep me busy for quite some time.

This game is as good as it gets.

My 13 yr old preordered it and hasn't stopped playing except to eat and sleep for weeks. He loves it, says its a great upgrade from previous version. Normal single play is easy and is finished quickly. Real fun of this game is live multiplayer mode.

assassins creed 2 was awesome and all but you beat it and your done, MW2 has such an enormous replay value its not a game i'll ever sell back. Campaign is great, but veteran difficulty is a little too easy. SpecOps are a fun addition. The online multiplayer is what makes the game though, that can keep you busy for months.

I never played the original Modern Warfare so I had no expectations when playing this game. But from the first time I started playing I was hooked onto the addictive multiplayer and explosive single player campaign. The campaign is just jaw-dropping, I wouldn't be suprised if Hollywood took some pages from the campaign. The campaign does a good job of placing you into the battle with the explosions, blood, and sheer madness of war. Great multiplayer that will keep you playing for hours straight as you can earn points for literally anything such as breaking a dying streak and the awards for having a kill streak in multiplayer (i.e predator drones, nuclear launch) will drive you to attain those awards. The only thing wrong with this game is the inability to co-op the single player campaign. Co-op missions in Modern Warfare 2 only come in these Spec-Op missions which are okay, but their is no matchmaking meaning you cannot search for someone to play with you, you have to invite them.

A great game and a must-have for the 09 holiday season.

If you loved Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, you have to get this game. The online play keeps what was great about the original Modern Warfare, and adds more to it. I couldn't be more pleased with this game. Game of the year!

Modern Warfare 2 is possibly the best all around game i have ever played.

When I look at a game there is so much more to it than graphics and gameplay.

The First thing i think is why should i play this? is it just more mindless shooting like some games turn out to be. Modern Warfare has an amazing story. Its is extremely epic in unthinkable proportions. No just go head and kill the bad guys as usuall. MW2 has an indepth story that keeps u wanting for more. Everything in this game has purpose. Not even confucious could have predicted where this story twists and turns to.

Second, does it play well with good controls so the non-hardcore gamer friends and family can play it. The controls are simple, easy, and flawless. You will find no glitching and hard combinations here.

Controls: 10/10

Does it have good gameplay? I don't want to play a repetitive game no matter how good the story or graphics are. Infinity Ward came up with everything possible in this one. Where some games would leave it in cutscenes u can do it here. Never a dull moment either. Everything is different no "where did i see this wall before" moments. Intense action begining to end. This is an edge of the seat thrill ride.

Gameplay: 10/10

Multiplayer replay value? I don't think it needs much telling that this game has an oustanding multiplayer. An addicting one for sure. It really has u glued with tons of unlockables and challenges. Lets not forget about the superb weapons customization and perks so u can express ur own unique style. Oh and did i mention the co-op mode which provides more intense action to play through with ur friends.

At this point its a really good game. now for the stuff that sets it over the rest.

Good graphics? OH yeah absolutly superb. Beatiful landscapes and envirenments, excelent models & textures. I commend infinty ward for their hard work. Most people don't realize how much goes into it. As a game making hobbiest i do. As a side note graphics don't make a game, but they can make it great. I'm tired of people harping on games sometimes becuase of graphics. Does this mean all old gen games are bad. Anyway.

Pleasing to the ears? Most poeple don't consider this important but it really is. This game has excellent realistic weapon sounds leaving one to feel in the midst of the action. More notably the soundtrack. Hans Zimmer(guy who did batman) on his first video game soundtrack has just blown us away. The music puts u in the moment even more adding more feel to the game making it even more epic.

Now i'm not just waving this 10/10 around. This is a well thought out rating after paying the game for 3 months. This is a great game that truly earns it and is a must for any collection.

A word to the parents: This is not good for those younger than 16. Its M for a reason. There is a section in the game that is very violent & disturbing. Only for the mature. kids won't know how to handle it. If they don't understand how to handle it, it may send a very very bad message.

From singleplayer with its maddening veteran level of difficulty to co-op spec ops missions available for play with a friend on your own couch or in separate cities to the constant craving to reach that next level in multiplayer in order to unlock that next best weapon. This game will engross you to the point of dreaming about it during your sleepless nights and fruitless days. Buyer beware, this FPS is by far the best on the market today and will certainly affect your general productivity at work, home or even play.

Its another blockbuster from Call of Duty series. I am not the most advanced player but I love how it keeps you engaged and keeps making you come back and play more. Story line is great and more realistic.

Also, It was nice to get a $20 off on the next game at Amazon if you pre-ordered it.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is truly amazin. The campaign is action-packed and the story is full of turns. It is fun throughout. Some of the story (basically only two parts) is confusing but all of the questions you have do get answered. "No Russian" is the controversial mission but if you don't like it you can stop at any time without any problems other than you will miss an important turn in the story, but even that you can figure out pretty quickly. Multiplayer is bomb but I wish I could go online with splitscreen like in Halo. That is the only real downside. In conclusion, if u hav $60 and u enjoy video games, buy it.

This game had a lot of pressure on it to be one of the best games of the decade. I do believe it has fulfilled this reputation. With a campaign that has you sweating with excitement, and a multiplayer that is endless fun. The maps are great, and the guns are great. One thing that is not that big of a deal but is worth mentioning is that the Call of Duty spawn points are sub-par. You can spawn and be automatically blown up by a grenade shot from a grenade launcher, or just seconds after re-spawning be shot and killed from the back by an enemy. However, with the new perk, Tactical Insertion, this is partially fixed. The Tactical Insertion is a perk, even though is used as a primary grenade, that when you drop it you automatically spawn there the next time you spawn.

The campaign is incredible. From catching terrorists in South America to killing insurgents in Afghanistan. Amazing... and there is much more.

Now this game is really good, the graphics, sounds, etc. However if you are easily disturbed by blood... well this may not be your type of game. If the player gets injured the screen gets bloody, you can snap a dogs neck, and blood does get splattered, but overall this is an excellent game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
