I absolutely love this game. I have not been dulled by it for one second. I dont know who these kids are trying to fool with their opinions. Games have come so far and this is a prime example of whats been done with gaming technology and its a blast to play and watch. I get shot down a billion times just wandering around going Ooooooo. The weapons are great. The missions are great. The maps are a lot of fun and I enjoy just running around and checking everything out. Yeah maybe the missions arent for kids or the easily impressionable types (but then again... Hey.. why are you letting them play this stuff anyways? KNOW WHAT YOUR KIDS ARE DOING, don't blame the companies.)

But again. This game is really worth owning... I also suggest renting games before you buy them. Gamefly is great.

Call of Duty 2 was my first in this series....and I loved the WWII action and weaponry and did not fully understand the disdain some others had for this version. They were asking for a sequel to modern warfare with better weapons and game-play and were disappointed with the WWII version. It now appears they got what they wanted and then some. This is my XMas present to myself...so only played once but was instantly aware of the improvements and the scope of the game which seemed larger.

I cant wait to put some serious time on this game and see no reason to be disappointed. It is a great sequel to the already loved series.

This is one of the greatest games that I have ever played. I cannot compare it to the original Modern Warfare because I never played it, so I am only rating MW2 on its own merits. I will break it down into two categories, based on what I have played the most.

1: Campaign

The campaign in CoD:MW2 is amazing. The locales are spectacular and varied, and it is driven by an outstanding plot. I have only played through on the lowest difficulty, but I have seen it played through on Veteran. There is a nice mix in the missions between down and dirty fighting in narrow alleys, stealth missions, and sniper missions. The only complaint that I have with this mode is that the AI may in fact be a bit too good. For example, in one mission, you are running from a house to a helicopter evac down a hill filled with enemies. You get a checkpoint about half way down the hill. On veteran, you die a lot (I would say about every 30 seconds) and that hill is really hard. The AI learns your tactics, though, so what almost worked one time will be cut off the next. It was difficult and frustrating. Other than that, I have no complaints, other than the fact that when you get shot, it looks like someone splashed Kool-Ade on our screen (simulating blood). The game is otherwise beautiful, fast paced, well thought out, and all-in-all worth the price.

2: Online

The customization in the multiplayer online content is one of the game's best features. You start off with five classes (and space for five more customized classes) with various weapons and unlock different weapons, killstreak rewards and perks as you level up. As you use each of the weapons, getting so many kills or so many headshots unlocks attachments such as a silencer or better sights (or dual wielding for one handed weapons). There are between one and three different killstreak unlockables per killstreak (for example, if you get 4 kills in a row, you can either call in an Air Drop which gives you a random killstreak reward or a Counter-UAV which disables enemy radar for some time) culminating in a tactical nuclear bomb that is an instant-win. Personally, I have Air Drop, Attack Helicopter, and Pave Low (heavily armed attack chopper) as my killstreak rewards, at 4, 7, and 9 kills respectively. Perks include extra damage, invisibility to radar, and extra attachments on your weapons. The players on MW2 seem to play the objective-based game types more correctly than those who play Halo 3 or Gears of War 2 (for example, actually capturing the flags on "Capture the Flag"). The online play is very good and does not seem to have many glitches.

I look forward to playing more.

That being said, this is a Mature rated game and has earned that rating. There is a level (that you can opt out of) that may cause some players grief. It is a bloody game, though realistic.

Once you've finished the story, beating the spec ops missions became my new favorite thing to do. After that came playing online. Haven't stopped playing this game since it came out!

My son got this game for his birthday and I dont think we have seen him since. Ive sat and watched him play and I cannot believe how real this game is. The graphics are amazing. This game was definitely worth all the hype it got and the price.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has everything its already famous namesake and predecessor had, and more of it. The campaign mode is intense, the new SpecOps mode is a great added challenge that increases replay value tremendously, and the online multiplayer mode is as great as fans of the series by now have reason to expect, and builds on previous successes from the original Modern Warfare in logical and usually rewarding ways. If one were to complain about anything, it would be the campaign mode's plot, which is definitely lacking compared to the first Modern Warfare, and at times incoherent, especially near the end. Fortunately for the game's creators, they were not relying on the campaign alone to make this game playable for years to come.

Alright. So we all have played, or at least know of, Call Of Duty:Modern Warfare-The best selling first person shooter of all time. So when we all found out about Modern Warfare 2, we got a little bit exited. After a long summer and fall of wait it is here. The first thing anyone will notice is that the graphics are probably the most photorealistic in any game as of 2009/early 2010. The story line pics up after 4 years after Modern Warfare 1. The concept is that an American soldier was placed in a Russian Terrorist group(the same from MW1) and accompanied them on an airport massacre. Knowing he was a soldier, Mararove, the leader of the terrorists, kills the solider. When the Russians find the body they declare war on America and a group of SAS soldiers try to hunt down Macarave to prove America's involvement while a group of American soldiers fight Russians on American soil. The plot may be a little over the top, or in the words of a reviewer on a different site, a "Tom Clancy Wet Dream," but I would say the average player will enjoy the cinematic feel and epicness of the game. There are definitely some twists that will keep the player involved as well. The locations are also allot more diverse then the previous Modern Warfare. Over all, I would rate this as my second favorite video game (my first being Grand Theft Auto 4), but nothing is 100% perfect. I was hoping for a type of "Nazi Zombies" reminiscent of the bonus levels in Call of Duty: World at War. It also would have been better for more mature gamers if they would have kept the realism of having body parts blow off from World at War. Definitely the best of the Call of Duty series and the must have video game of the year. I would also recommend getting the "Hardened Edition" of the game if you are interested in the extras.

Thanks for reading

What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said? It's a super game that continues to give me hours of enjoyment playing online! The sheer number of sales of this game speaks for itself. It's the latest in a long line of the Call of Duty franchise games. If the concept of the game appeals to you, then you're going to enjoy both the game and online play.

This game gives you everything you want and more in a first person shooter game. Great graphics and playability. Had a ton of fun playing this game with a buddy doing the Special campaign. The only downfall this game has is if you have some friends over and want to play online you can't unless you have multiple Xbox's.

great buy for anyone who is a fan of the first-person shooter genre, great game play, great graphics, great multiplayer, great everything!

I will start off by saying that I love this game. The graphics, missions, co-op and multilayer are all equally fun to play. I myself lean more towards the multilayer aspect, which leads me to the only complaint that I have about this game; CHEATERS!

Oh yeah, it's full of them. Although I must say that IW has done an exceptional job fixing most of the glitches and cheats, the "Nuke" dilemma is getting a bit old. Players are teaming up in free-for-all sessions and taking turns killing each other in order to get a nuke (obtained after 25 consecutive kills). At first, this cheating could be seen maybe once every other day. Now, I see it in one of every three to four games. Although it is not confirmed, I have heard that Microsoft is banning players for doing this, which I really hope they do. It does take away the fun and competitiveness when you know someone is hiding in a corner with 30 kills and 0 deaths.

Although I will also point out the "camper" issue, I will not dwell in the topic. You too will find yourself being forced to camp at times in order to keep a balance on fairness. The game is full of campers!!!

Other than that, I am completely hooked on this game. I am an adult-gamer and play 1-2 hours a day, which is something that I have never done with any other game. This game will suck you in!!!!

Single player is non stop action and plays out like a epic action movie. Multi feels like what TF2 was suposta be. Perks for each class you make but a bit of a comic twist. Use the cold blooded perk and your charater has blue skin. Kill someone who killed you and you get a Payback so the person dies with money flying out of them. Little things like that take away from the realism but add to the fun.

I got the hardend edition for the extra stuff wich is worth getting for an extra $20,besides that the game is good. The campaign is great u get to play as soap again later in the game. Special ops is fun,u get to play in short parts of the campaign in cod 4 and the new campaign with another player on the same system or on xbox live. The multieplayer is fun but the maps mostly suck. Some of the maps are good but there should be a free flashback mappack with the maps crash, overgrown, creek, and pipeline.Over all its a good game and u should buy it.

I strongly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys first-person-shooters. I have always been a Halo fan and had not played COD or Modern Warfare games very much. I was disappointed with the cheap look and feel of Halo 3 ODST and thought that I would give this game a try. MW2 makes ODST look amateurish by comparison.

The graphics are great and the online play is fantastic.
