I've played thru the single player and that was good, however this game is all about the online multiplayer. If your giving this as a gift, make sure that they have the ability to play online.

I purchased this game for my son because he was the only one of all of his xbox live (online) friends and class-mates who didn't have the game. I purchased it for him - and they so enjoy it. He has a time limit online so most of the time he's playing single player which you might want to sit with your kid through that to make sure you're OK with it - and also to see how they respond to it. My kid is a trooper!

I'm a halo fan and I must say I never expected COD to match everything that Halo had already developed. So I bought Modern Warfare 2 and the COD 4, for the story, and I was overwhelmed with everything within minutes of playing it. I had recently gotten an HDTV for the first time and I saw quality at its full potential. It has a great story surprisingly. I expected it to have more attention to the multiplayer and side missions. But the story is very enjoyable. I think I still prefer Halo 3 multiplayer but after I get used to it I might like it more. I would say this in the top 5 games I have ever played. The graphics are amazing. The story is awesome. This game is really really fun and addicting.

ordered this for my son for birthday. They also have the first modern warfare, which is very good, and this one does not disappoint. The color graphics are great, the gun firing reaction time is better than the first game as there seems to be instant bullet contact with the enemy, as opposed to some delay in the first one. There are also a ton more options for kill streak rewards, not just 3,5,7 kill streaks. There are also many different types of guns to master. I am by no means a gaming expert as I was already an adult when nintendo came out, but this game is fun and the multiplayer action is very addictive. Would recommend this game or the first one to anyone. Have played Halo 3 online and this, to me, has a lot more action going on at all times.

Great single player. Took me about 6 hours to beat, so fairly short. The multiplayer has me hooked though. An absolutely great game.

This game is simply amazing!!! I am still going on on campaign, but I am having a blast in the process. The online death matches are simply untouched in comparison to anything else except possibly halo 2 and halo 3. The graphics are amazing. The controls are very responsive. The guns are amazing, I love the fact that now you can hold two pistols and uzis at once. This game is remarkable. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes first person shooters. You wont be disappointed.

This is definitely one of the best games made for xbox 360 ever! If you have enjoyed the call of duty series so far, this game does not disappoint. It includes an amazing campaign with a very detailed story line, mini missions set apart from the campaign, and an online set up that is far more organized and detailed than any other game. They have created many more guns, kill-streaks, maps, and other equipment online. I would recommend this game for any teenager who likes to play video games of this type. I am also going to have to comment about the third level in the campaign which creates an immoral situation making you kill innocent. But the game allows you to skip over this level, so I think the makers handled it nicely.

I love the game. However, recently people have begun to resort to various forms of cheating (i.e. nuke boosting, glitching, hacking...) which is now becoming increasingly annoying since there are only a few good games that you can expect to come across where people are not cheating. In addition, there has been some issues with the game's servers in recent days where mass number of players are booted from the game or have their connections timed out. Hopefully, this will remain a minor issue and shouldn't be that bothersome in the upcoming weeks/months/years. I really have to give IW props for doing an amazing job with developing the game although they did manage to overlook some key technical issues with the game but have made a tremendous effort in the subsequent months post release to correct those issues to balance the game.

I bought this game and it came in the mail in a very reasonable time. I bought it for my boyfriend and he loves playing it! It was brand new so there are no complaints regarding this game.

This game is a lot of fun, the single player is exceptional, feel like you're in a movie. The multiplayer is fun, especially if you have friends or a clan to play with. Prestigeing makes the replay value so much more, and this game will keep you entertained for hours on end.
