I will just say that if you are a huge fan of Modern Warfare 2 than the prestige edition is the way to go. It delivers nice fully functional goggles that not only can be used but can be displayed on a statue of a head. The inclusion of a download for Call of Duty is a nice touch. If your not a big fan of the Modern Warfare than I wouldn't recommend it. I think with some it will have a personal touch.

As for the game, the campaign is short. I was able to beat it on veteran in under 6 hours BUT it was a great experience. Its an experience everyone should have. The cinematic gameplay moments are directed so well. The game replicates everything that Modern Warfare done so well. The story is decent and great acting. The graphics are a sight to behold that shines through the campaign and multiplayer.

I can't say enough about the multiplayer and how they spruced it up. Customizable kill streaks that unlock with experience can range from Harriers, Bombers, multiple different helos, and so on. The game is set up in a way where it gives you more customization not just from you weapons but through your perks. Everything is revamped in a better way.

What about the customizable avatars? They are there and done exactly like that of Street Fighter IV. It even lets you add icons and every match will show a slow mo of the last kill in a match. Its a lot of these little things added that just fleshed out an already well done multiplayer into something even more stellar.

Now on top of that, there is special ops that let you jump into objectives that can range from just killing a slew of enemies, race down a mountain, or disarm bombs. It is pretty challenging and addicting. Some of the objectives can be done solo or with another player. it is an exciting addition that rounds out a great game. I highly recommend this game. It might be short on the campaign side but the multiplayer adds so much from the standard modes of headquarters, team deathmatch, search and destroy and up to new modes that are placed in third person.

Short Campaign with a cool cinematic story and gameplay, fun addicting long multiplayer, and great single and two player special ops mode. A must buy for fans of the series, FPS games, and those who love good multiplayer gameplay.

I played the first COD:MW, but this one is simply amazing. The gameplay is superb, the missions are intense, and the storyline is actually dramatic. I was amazed on how much I fell into the game, I mean that I was submersed into the game. The mission were incredibly, at some moments my jaw literally hit the flow of awesomeness. I bought the Prestige edition, which included some goodies, most notably the night vision goggles. These indeed do work, they are fully functional. Great purchase on my part. The game is truly amazing.

Nice deluxe package with metal game case and night vision googles. I bought the Prestige Xbox version because of the extras included. I think it was a great value. The night vision googles were worth the price paid and I still have the game to play.

The game looks very good and the 1 player story line was very good and made me not want to put the game down. Online multiplayer is where this game really come to life. I have been playing online for over 6 years and this game feels like a step in a new direction. The game moves very good, smooth, and very clean looking. Overall a very good experience.

Amazon was great. I got the game the day it came out delivered to my house for free shipping.

This is another installment of what has turned out to be an amazing franchise. If you are reading this, then you must be one of the few who people on the planet who didn't pick this game up from the release date, you should know this is the best selling game of all time. EVER. This game is one of the most visually stunning games in the Xbox 360's stable of games. From the start, you are immersed into the storyline with a nice array of weapons from which to choose. Also, there is a nice set of non-FPS action sequences where you get to have some diversions (mputain climbing and driving various vehicles just to name a few) so that the game won't become tired and monotonous. The controls are nice and intuitive, the is nothing short of what you would expecy from a bame of this caliber, and the storyline once agains hooks you in from the very start and is excellently written.

However, it is in this aspect of the game where the flaw lies. Even though the game has a great storyline, it is WAY too short. Upon completeing the game, which depending on your skill and the difficulty level you choose you should finish this game in absolutely no longer than 8 hours, the game feels incomplete. Like most huge franchises these days, it is no secret that this game was made with the intention of there being a third installment.

So bearing that in mind, this game is still great. A+ on graphics, controls, multiplayer, sound, variety, and storyline. D minus on length.

As far as this particular Presrige Edition is concerned, yes, you get a bonus download of Call of Duty, you get an art book and a "steel-like" game case and a special "making of" DVD, and yes, last, but most certainly not least, you get the infamous night vision goggles. One word on the NVGs. They work and they work semi-decently. You can see perfectly on front of you almost anything within 10 feet. Outside of that, things start to get fuzzy and not so clear, with probably an extreme mazimum limit of about 40 feet. They are constructed more as a kids' toy, like a "my very first set of NVGs" Tonka toy. They are all plastic, and to be honest, not very well-made. The design for them is more suitible for that of a child, which is ironic, because this set is EXTREMELY delicate and if it were to fall into the hands of a child, it would be broken by day's (or night's, as the case may be) end. The switches contained on the set are: on/off, green/black and white, IR booster on/off (an invisible infared "flashlight" so that the goggles can see farther and make an existing area brighter), a rotary dial for focusing, and a rotary dial for adjusting the viewscreen so that both eyes can properly see one image. The headgear is also very poorly designed and anyone with a head larger than an adolecent will have serious truble making them fit, if at all.

My review for this set is thus: The game is wonderful and obviously a must buy. The download of CoD is a really nice added value. The steel case, the bonus DVD and art book are okay, but not worth spending more than $5 extra. Finally, the NVGs are honestly a disappointment and do not justify the purchase of this package. My recommendation is that you save youself some serious coin and just buy the game all by itself. You can download Call of Duty from Xbox Live, if you really want it, for a little more money. The rest of the items do NOT justify the $80 premium, even including the MW1 download.

What a disappointment. The campaign is short, too short. If I wanted to play multiplayer only, I would have stay with MW1 and Halo 3. The graphic is beautiful, gameplay is good but extremely short. Replay value? None. It wouldnt suprise me if they release more campaigns as pay DLC. In conclusion, its all hype and couldnt deliver. Get it if you want to play MW2 multiplayer and dont have MW1, other than that dont bother with it.

Let me start by saying that I believe that the Call of Duty franchise is as popular as it is because of it's extremely entertaining multiplayer mode. Call of Duty: World at War made huge leaps forward in improving on the already popular Modern Warfare 1 online experience, making playing real human opponents more fun than ever. Personally, I enjoyed it so much I logged over 14 full days of gaming time on World at War's multiplayer mode. Naturally, my expectations for Modern Warfare 2 were, like everyone else's, sky high. In that light, Modern Warfare 2 is a huge disappointment because it has taken a massive step backwards from its immediate predecessor.

Many of the multiplayer issues which plagued Modern Warfare 1, were fixed when Call of Duty: World at War was released. These issues have now reappeared for reasons that seem to have no plausible explanation. The main culprit is the bizarre new match-making system that has been installed. The option to search for "Locale Only" games has been removed and now you are likely to be thrown into unplayable connection after unplayable connection.

On top of that, members of your party are often dropped from the server for no discernable reason. And for MOST of the game types, the "Party only" chat feature is not allowed so the members of your group who have been dropped from the game CANNOT communicate with the rest of the group to tell them so!! They will be unable to use the in game chat channel as they have been uncermoniously booted at the start of the game, and will be unable to use the party chat channel because it has been muted by CoD: MW2! Lame!

Not only does this cause problems when you're trying to get into a game with a group of your friends, but it also removes a vital tactical element when your whole party makes it in. Being able to communicate with your team during matches gives your team a strategic advantage that should be preserved. I am quite sure that among all of the gear pictured on the helmet of the guy on the cover, at the very least he has a closed circuit radio channel to his squad. Why can't I get this in the game?

You are also exposed to the chatter of the room/match, which, as anyone who has played an online match will tell you, can be highly annoying. It took no less than 10 seconds (TEN!) in the game lobby for a young man with a thick accent to start calling us (or someone in the room) "[expletive] stupid americans" among other things. This was never an issue in Call of Duty: World at War, because we could just use the party chat. Even when the discussion is civil, there is so much chatter going on at once you can't really hear what anyone is saying. Disappointing indeed.

Another handy feature that was not ported over from CoD: WaW, was the option for the team leader to bring the entire party out of the game lobby. Now when another friend logs on and wants to play with your group, you each have to individually exit the room and then the party leader has to re-invite the entire party from the Xbox dashboard and reassemble the group. Why was this feature removed?? How hard would it have been to keep this??

These things make the multiplayer mode far less enjoyable than they should be. Yes, they do not completely kill the online experience, but they do make it a LOT less fun. How much fun is it to constantly play with a yellow or red connection?? The new maps are beautiful and complex, and the possible weapon combinations expansive, making me think that the underlying game could be a lot of fun, but the extreme difficulty of actually getting into one of those games with your friends is shocking.

If you're looking to mainly play the campaign mode or just spec-ops with *A* friend, this is a solid game and probably worthy of 4 or 5 stars. However I believe the real draw of the Call of Duty series is it's fantastic multiplayer mode; a mode, that for this release, is a huge disappointment.

OKAY SO IT ARRIVED TODAY. I HAD TO FIGHT MY HUBBY JUST TO GET A TURN, IT IS VERY COOL. THE NIGHT VISION IS JUST AWESOME. WE EACH HAVE A XBOX 360 SO I WILL GO BUY ANOTHER GAME FOR ME TOMORROW. I AM NORMALLY ADDICTED TO LEFT 4 DEAD ( CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE 17TH FOR THAT ONE) I DID NOT FIND ANY GLITCHES YET. WELL WORTHT HE MONEY FOR THE NVG. LET ME ALSO SAY THAT I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH ANY LAG AT ALL AND CHATTED JUST FINE. I THINK IT WAS A BIT SLOW AT FIRST DUE TO THE MILLIONS PLAYING IT AT THE SAME TIME BUT I REBOOTED MY ROUTER AND HAD NO ISSUE AFTER THAT. I DID HOWEVER JUST DO A PARTY AND CUT ALLT HE CHATTER TO A MIN.

I GIVE IT 5 STARS

Simply put this game would be really fun if it was playable. Due to the lag you will experience (even with the best internet available) the game will be nearly unplayable online. Since this is the reason most people play CoD I can not rate it anything but a total failure. Good luck to everyone who hoped lag issues were a thing of the past. It is worse in this game than in CoD 4.
