Well, I ordered this edition cause I really was skeptical about the goggles being "Fully functioning" as claimed by infinity ward, but would keep it as a collectors item if it wasnt.
Got it out of the box, found that it didnt come with 5 AA batteries, which I laughed at. Put the batteries in, powered it on, and stuck it on my head.
Lemme tell ya, I thought that it would just be similar to a camera view with a green overlay. Not the case here.
now WHILE THESE ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT REAL NIGHT VISION GOGGLES, these goggles do a damn good job of passing by as one!
The image was great, much better than I would have ever hoped, and I would use these for fun every once and a while!
Oh and it comes with its own stand which is cool looking if you put a camo boonie hat on top of it

well for those who choose the FPS type of game this is quite possibly the best ever! a great sequel to the first modern warfare with a very great campaign. Although it was short there are some very good missions that will have your jaw on the floor in no time.

great gameplay really submerges you in the story but to short dont play multiplayer so cant say much about that....nvgs really good better use for indoors not that good outsides dont expect to see a lot outside but still fun.......depth perception way off but u can maybe get used to it around your house

Great game. Even better if you play it with the NVG. NVG is a plastic toy with night vision capability. It came with a plastic head which is also cool. The game is excellent. Can't wait until the next one comes out.

The 1 star rating is obviously a PS3 fanboy or he has a slow connection.
I've played all night for 8 hour straight and experienced no lag in online play at all. The single player is awesome and multiplayer makes it a great game. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the game and wants a little collectors item.

I've always been curious about night vision googles. With the cheapest ones being around $200 this is a great buy. Not only do you get one of the best military fps. You get a nice little concept art book and a head mount for the googles. I cannot get enough of this game. It is very well done. The co-op special forces missions are so fun to play with a buddy!
The only thing I didn't like about this was the story mode is about 8 hours long. The rubber seal on the googles is a bit loose and the concept art book could have more pages. I also enjoy playing co-op missions and wish the story mode could be 2 player like Gears of War. But nothing is perfect in this world and this is pretty close to it. Expecially for the price. So stop reading this and buy it already.

The single player campaign took me about 7 hours to complete on hardened difficulty(one below the hardest). The special ops (Co-op) missions are A LOT of fun if you've got somebody to play it with. Compared to World at War, the multiplayer is 10x better. Being able to call in helicopters for supply drops and carrying around a Stinger missile to shoot down opponents' helicopters is ridiculously fun. The NVG's that come with the Prestige edition are a fun little accessory, but it's basically like having a camera mounted to your head. They don't weigh much at all, but you've got no depth perception and can't see incredibly far, especially with any light around you.

Excellent On Line gaming fun! When my kids let me, I have a great time playing both the campaign and Live matches. Doesn't get any better than this game! I purchase the Prestige and the standard edition. The NVG's are pretty cool, but obviously very basic in function. They have not been used much either, in spite of the boy having to have them!

Single player is short but awesome. The Spec. Ops. expands on single player and also gives you the chance to play co-op and it is amazing. The icing on the cake is the multiplayer and it is the raises the bar that CoD4 set in 2007 and is the best FPS multiplayer experience out there bar none. BUY THIS GAME. The night vision goggles are cool and they do work surprisingly well but they will mainly be used as a display that you can show off and are cool to play around with, so they may not be for everybody. But definately buy the Hardened Edition because it comes with a cool art book, metal case and a code to download the very first CoD game made by Infinity Ward which is CoD Classic. CoD Classic is fun to play and while the graphics are definately outdated the controls are tight and you get 200 extra achievement points not to mention a chance to see where the Call of Duty series got its start.

Bought this for my son for his birthday, he must like it, did not get any complaints about this game. Did not have to send it back, thank goodness. He is over 18 so old enough to play this kind of game.

The game offers intense fighting with the weapons of today with extreme graphics and an accurate display of combat. The only suggetion I can suggest is to just get the regular game or even the limited edition. The Prestige Edition is cool to have but the nightvision goggles aren't all they are cut out to be. The vision is too limited in them, it's not really worth the $100 extra.
