The game has good graphics and story line; the controls work very well so you can concentrate on playing. I wish all games were this well developed. I look forward to the next call of duty to come out, I will be in the line at midnight to get it.

MultiPlayer:

Similar game to Counterstrike with different objective style games such as Bombing the targets or halo3 style where its just straight team deathmatch. Also has free for all and some other gametypes. I hated the earlier versions of the games because of the old style weapons and the feel of the gameplay, this one is 100x better.

The maps take some time to learn as well as the weapons. Until you learn the maps you have no idea where the enemy will be coming from.

Cons: There is no way to review the scores at the end to see who had the most killing streaks, head shots, kill ratios, etc. Also unlike Halo3 there is no guest spot for online multi-player. If you have a friend who wants to play your stuck playing against him only in 4 player local splitscreen with no internet play, which sucks. The only way to play online with friends is for them to be on a separate xbox with a separate xbox live account.

The multi-player is highly addictive and fun. The maps and guns are well balanced. The search times are very low(sometime instant because you can join games in progress) and the lag is usally low compared to Halo3. The guns are modeled after real guns, there is gun recoil, and you die from any guns with just a handful of bullets(unlike halo3 where you can take about 20 shots before dying)

Single player:

The single player is awesome as well, though I beat it in about a week, without devoting the whole day to the game. I'm sure it would take longer on a more difficult setting. The missions and effects are creative, though sometimes it feels like there is an endless supply of enemies until you figure out you just have to advance forward for them to stop respawning.

My son got this and couldn't put it down for a week. I finally watched decided it looked like fun, tried it when he wasn't around, then got hooked.

I played just the first two sections of the single-player campaign. While it is created very well, the multi-player is so good that I can't go back to single.

The multi has 11 different ways to play. There's different ways to play team deathmatches, a capture the flag game (Domination), setting a bomb & preventing the other team from defusing it, etc.

Plus as you get experience points and get promoted up the ranks, you'll get more choices in weapons, add-ons, and perks.

Also, there's about 15 different maps. They're all done amazingly well, with what's obscured, where the hiding places are, the size, etc. Also, they put in the effect your eyes have in the daylight of when you're in a building and walk towards a window, at first you just see white glare, but as you get closer, you can see the things outside.

If you've never played multi-player, it's not like single that requires a start to finish, specific order type thing. Multi is pretty free-form. That's the awesomeness of it. By the way, there are still thousands of players throughout the day playing all the types on Xbox Live.

The only drawback is that you'll need to subscribe to Xbox Live for multi-player. Obviously I think it's worth it. Do it!

This is easily my favorite Xbox game. I love it. There's just so much you can do, & b/c it's live & multi-player, there's not that much redundancy.

Best game I have ever played, hands down. Faster paced and more rewarding (even when your team loses, you can still receive points) than Halo 3. I am a first person shooter player so take that into consideration before you flog me.

I love this game, best first person shooter I have played since the first syphon filter, (that was a great game) came out and Ghost Recon. If you own a Xbox and like these style games your insane if you don't own this. I guarantee, anyone would love this.

This game is great for team killing. Once you get to level 15 you unlock hardcore team death match, and hardcore search and destroy. Hardcore search and destroy is best for team killing because there is no respawning. I like to take an RPG and take out my team right at the beginning of the level. Since there is no respawns you get some pretty good feedback from the other players over your headset LOL. The best perks to use for team killing is sonic boom, and martyrdom.

This game isn't better than world at war, but it is one smokin game. I think that the Call of Duty series is the BEST game for the Gamer and no close second. Well that's my opinion.

Damn. This is one hell of a game. I suggest everyone that owns an XBOX/PS3 to get this one, unless any sort of violence grosses them out. One of the FPS games to come out in a long time that was an excellent challenge on the hardest setting. Looking forward till Modern W 2 comes down in price. Until then this should be fulfilling.
