I purchased this video game for Christmas for my eight year old. We play it all the time. She never gets tired of it!

Our grandson cannot get enough of the new Wii Resort! And the adults enjoy it as well. It offers a wide range of activities that can be played at your individual skill level. Great investment for family oriented fun. =}

Wii Sports Resort is a much more polished version of Wii Sports. The original felt like a pack-in game - it was fun and hopelessly addictive, but the graphics were simple and the games were basic.

Wii Sports Resort takes both to the next level. The new MotionPlus controller allows for certain types of events that were not possible before. The sword fighting games in particular make full use of the 3D capabilities of this peripheral.

Pros:

* Excellent selection of new games - 12 events each with 3 games for a total of 36 new games to try

* Top shelf graphics and sound

* Excellent usage of the included Wii Motion Plus

Cons:

* You'll need to buy at least one more Wii Motion Plus to really enjoy this

At first glance I thought Sports Resort was a really watered down version of the original Sports game that came with the Wii. When I finally got around to playing most of the games I saw how much better it was.

The "therapy" game in Sports was boxing. Here it's swordplay. After a REALLY bad day, wow, yeah, you will want to play this game. Just go into the beginning stage if you're not that good and just need that release. Trust me, you'll feel better. And yeah, it's also a fun game to play against others.

Archery is also great. Some people find it difficult, but it's all about the wind speed, distance, and a steady hand. Once you figure out what to pay attention to it's addictive as you get better and better.

Wakeboarding is just a blast. Make sure you have a few feet of ceiling over your head. Like swordplay, this will give you a little mini workout if you play long and hard enough.

I'm on the fence on frisbee, basketball, power cruising, cycling and canoeing as I haven't had time to figure them out yet. I'm sure more than one will be as good as the three I've already mentioned.

Bowling seems a bit redundant from Sports and table tennis (aka ping pong) just comes off as a poor version of regular tennis on Sports. I found air sports to be boring, but I can see that a lot of kids will like it. (If they haven't already done it, someone should do a serious piloting game for the Wii.)

Sports Resort is bigger and better than Sports and offers something for just about any age group. Most kids probably won't love archery, but they'll like many of the other games. Sports Resort is what the Wii is all about.

The new controller that comes with this game makes this so much better then the original Wii Sports. It's accurate and it really increases the challenge quite a bit in some games like bowling. the graphics are much better also. I actually enjoy every single game offer in this title, but some are real standouts, like ping-pong, archery and wakeboarding. Must have for all Wii owners.

Good stuff comes in small sizes and really this is what is this game.

Series of small games which tends to become very addective. Its been a week since i bought this and have not been able to play all of them.

However, the games i have played so far have all been excellent.

Sword fighting, fresbie, table tenning, basketball, improved golf and bowling, cycling and even flying the plane all around the island to collect area of interest points is fantastic. All are very good. Given that you get a wii motion plus with this which is worth $20, the net price for the game comes to around $26-30 depending upon the deal which you get. So for $25-30 this is an excellent value for money.

go and grab one and treat yourself with this good stuff.

We have had our Wii for more than 2 years now and have had the opportunity to play a wide variety of games. Wii Sports is still the family favorite and we looked forward to this next version. Our reaction so far has been mixed. The water sports, archery, table tennis and cycling have been big hits. Basketball is OK. The rest, particularly bowling and golf, have been disappointments, these latter two because there was no substantial differences with the original version. One could imagine any number of alternatives, e.g. field hockey, lacrosse, lawn bowling, bocchi, badminton, air table hockey that would have rounded out this suite rather nicely. It's OK, but just OK. We agree with those reviewers commenting about the rather frequent need for re-calibration. Maybe it's time for Wii-II.

I purchased this game right away and we have been having a blast playing it. My 4y/o daughter only has problems with a few games (the jet ski game and archery)but loves the cycling. All the games are challenging yet fun. We ran out and bought a second motion plus so we can compete against each other. My 8 year old loves the sword play. The golf is a bit harder than the regular Wii sports golf, the bowling definitely has a different feel than the traditional bowling. I am so surprised at how much the motion plus picks up with this game. It really is a great game for everyone.

My wife and I purchased this game because of the fun commercial. We took our whole wii system along with this game to a friends house who have 3 kids. The entire family had fun playing the game. By the end of the night when I was packing up the system our friend (the mom) said, "Well, it looks like we're getting a Wii". So basically this game sold itself AND the system :)

This game is great. I play it just about every day. The Wii-motion sensor add-on for the remote works very well. Although, it makes bowling more sensitive. I played the bowling part of Wii Sports just about every day. With Wii Resort bowling, it is much more precise - you can spin the ball more. The frisbee game is addicting. Through the frisbee just like a real frisbee. Wakeboarding is fun but doesn't take much effort. I found that the Speed slice game works your arms a bit more. This is very fun game for the Wii system.

I LOVE the wii motion plus and its AMAZING with Wii Sports Resort! That is the greatest game ever!! Cant get enough of the archery and frisbee. Def recommend that!! There is hours and hours of playing fun with this game!! It has alot of games in it, and they all have much better response time with the Wii-mote and wii motion. The ping pong game was WAY better than the crappy one on Wii Play. There is a new bowling game that allows you to play against eachother in the 100 pin games, whereas on Wii sports, you had to play that game individually in "training" mode. The game is also way more sensitive in bowling, so be very careful controlling your wrists! I love the archery game, the wake boarding, frisbee, cycling, etc. Most games have a beginner, intermediate and expert level, which keeps it fun and challenging. Love it. Buy it. NOW!

I really enjoy this game. Lots of new fun games to play and the motion plus accessory makes it more realistic and responsive. My kids really enjoy it too.

Fun addition to our WII! Great for giving as a gift for someone with a WII!

I got this game the day after it came out, and it completely lived up to my expectations. The activities are great, much more fun than they may seem at first. And yes, to all of you asking, the MotionPlus thing is all its cracked up to be. The controls are well thought out and make the various games very fun. My family's personal favorite is Frisbee Golf, which everyone picked up on in about 5 minutes. I personally like Swordplay and the Air Activities (skydiving, flying and dogfighting).

My one complaint is that the Cycling game is kind of hard. The controls don't feel quite right, you run out of energy too quickly, and it generally feels unnatural to pedal with your hands.

Other than that one, however, this is possibly one of the best games I've ever played for the Wii.

Great new set of games the show off the capabilities of the Wii Motion Plus. Basket ball has kept us busy for the last couple of weeks. A must have for the Wii. As with all game packs, some are much better than others but all of these allow an old man to play with the younger generation with everyone enjoying it.
