Simply the most fun I've ever had gaming. Twice the fun with a friend. A second Wii motion plus is an absolute must.
If you have a Wii, buy this game. If you don't, buy a Wii and this game.
You'll be playing this one for years.
I have 2 girls ages 6 and 8. They really enjoy playing the wii sports resort as do I. Some of their favorites are the wakeboarding, archery, and table tennis. The boys really enjoy the swordplay. All in all a very entertaining package and a good addition to the Wii sports that comes with the unit. The wii motion plus does make a big difference.
Awesome game! As a sword student, I love the sword play especially. It seems very accurate with the cuts. But having to hit a button to block is annoying. My wife and I both loved the Island Flyover where you look for points of interest while flying a small plane. Basketball is the closest thing a video game will come to the real thing (for now). Other standout games are Frisbee dog and wakeboarding.
My 5 year old loves this as do we. A great game with lots of options to choose from.
My husband and son have a lot of fun with this game I have tell them to stop playing for lunch.
This game has been the most fun I have had compared to most other Wii games. I am not crazy about the wakeboarding game but the rest of the games are just fun and I mean fun for all ages! Out of 5 stars, I gave it a five but I would really love to give it a 10. Great bundle for a great price.
This game is a very fun sports game to play. Lots of variety! Much better than Wii Sports.
This game is a lot of fun...a good work out too....A LOT of hidden secrets that you will find out....fun fun fun
This game is as fun for me at 41 as it is for my 5 year old daughter. Finally the game designers allow you to change your Mii at each game. There's every level of game and each game not only has new levels but it introduces new games when you master the first. This is a great game and we haven't taken out of the Wii since we bought it 4 months ago.
One thing that's not clear is that you have to have a motionplus attachment for each controller you want to use with the game. I would love to have more players but I haven't bought more motionplus controllers yet.
Love it. We have so much fun playing the games. You need to get a second micro motion, if you have more than one player. Shipping was a bit slow but well worth the wait. Great customer service.
The original Wii Sports is the best-selling game of all time. I don't think it should count, since it is a pack-in with the Wii, but whatever. Nintendo hopes to advance it's popularity with a sequel, titled Wii Sports Resort. Wii Sports Resort takes place on Wuhu Island, and to get there you must skydive. I can't mention the games without mentioning the Wii Motion Plus. This adds extra sensors to the remote and makes it very responsive. You must calibrate it each time you put on Wii Sports Resort, but it didn't detract from anything. Let me tell you, this is motion control. It's like you are reaching out and touching the screen. It is terrific.
Wii Sports Resort consists of 12 sport mini games, 2 of which return from the original Wii Sports (Bowling and Golf). These sports range from Archery to Basketball to Dueling. They are very fun and require a lot of skill and practice. Here are a few of the sports:
1. Frisbee - In Frisbee, you can throw a frisbee to a cute dog, which is very relaxing, or you can hit the golf courses and play some Frolf.
2. Canoeing - This is one of the water-based games in Wii Sports Resort. You must move the Wiimote just like an oar, and reach the goal. It is very fun in 2 player.
3. Table Tennis - Essentially an update of the original tennis, Table Tennis has you rallying a ball back and forth across a table. This is one of my favorites.
4. Archery - Archery is a blast, and just like golf, you have to take into consideration the wind speed, and the distance you are from the target. Very fun.
These are just a few of the many sports in Wii Sports Resort. Another fun feature is the Stamp System, where you complete 5 fun challenges for each sport. These range from getting a 300 in Bowling, or sinking every shot in Basketball. This added a lot of replay value.
My only complaint is that if you want to play with friends, then you must buy extra Wii Motion Pluses. This was kind of annoying, but they are cheap, and easy to find.
Overall, you'll be playing Wii Sports Resort for years to come. It is truly a great Wii gem.
Total Score - 10/10
There are a lot of things I could go into about what I wished they'd included, some stuff that seems like obvious, no-brainer type games. Like more accurate pool. And tennis. But who cares, the first version was brilliant, this one is even better. Golf is actually playable now. Sword fighting is off the chain. Lovin' frisbee golf. Island fly-over is awesome, love wave riding, even archery is pretty great. But it's worth your money just for better bowling. If you own a Wii, you do it a disservice not to acquire Wii Sports Resort. I want to go to there.
The game is so much fun. I can't wait to get off from work so I can play it some more!!!
I got really excited the first time I saw the previews. I've played about half the games so far and love them all. A few are actually a bit of a workout (ping pong, swordplay, and canoeing). I love the resort itself, the scenery and all the different settings, the sights and sounds make this one a step up from Wii Sports. Something really cool is the way the Miis act out a little replay summary of the last few events with some funky dance moves and funny gestures. That is a blast...I totally cracked up the first time I saw it! The golf course is awesome, the ducks that follow you around in canoeing, the new clothes, the stamps, there are so many nice touches built into this game that make it really fun to play, and so many sports to choose from. I love it!!!
I bought the Wii Sports Resoirt and 2 Wii motions for the controllers. The Wii motion makes everythign much more acurate then before. And the game has tons of things to do the whole family loves!
