The new games are fun but I was all excited about the custom workouts you could set up and do. WRONG. You can set up the workouts in Yoga and Strength only - they missed a big one here, would have been soooo nice to be able to do all the activities in a row. I would love to so some yoga, step, strength, boxing, and yoga like a real workout.

I would have really liked to see a new step routine or two also - these get old fast!!

The kids will have fun with it, but bet I use it for a week or so and then it will sit on the shelf again.:(

I purchased the original Wii Fit when it was released. Right away I noticed how limited my options were with the original game. Wii Plus was well worth the $20. The new features (programming your routine) are great not to mention a wide variety of new poses and activities.

This is just Wii Fit with a new section of games, but I love the new games! It has re-inspired me to use the game daily, and I've lost 5 lbs. in a month. The new cycling, jogging and obstacle course get you moving, the balance and yoga games are fun and really help with your posture, and there are some new levels to the old favorite games. It was worth the $20 to update my Wii Fit with this disc!

The original Wii Fit left a lot to be desired. It was a great concept and had gotten all the basics right, except that it wasn't easy to use more than casually. I used it every morning for 2 months to work out when I first got it but eventually just got frustrated and gave up. You had to stop between every exercise to pick the next one, there was no indication other than time of how hard you were working, and you hit a wall on the games and cardio exercises pretty easily.

All of that is better in Wii Fit Plus! You can build customized workouts that string the exercises together with no need to interact with menus during or between exercises. If you don't have specific ones you know you want to do, Wii Fit Plus will help you pick some based on your goals and how much time you have to work out. You are also now given an estimate of how many calories you are burning, figuring it out based on your personal info and METs, a measure of the activity level. And the games and exercises offer a lot more room to grow and some that are more entertaining to do over and over again, even if you always get the perfect score.

It does have a few downsides, though. Some of the games, like skateboarding, are somewhat hard to control with the Balance Board, and some of the yoga and strength exercises still a little difficult to get the Wii to realize you're doing them correctly, but overall it's great. My biggest disappointment is that you can't incorporate games and cardio activities into your saved workout, but compared to everything else that's great about this game, I can't put it down any for that.

The Wii Fit plus is a great upgrade to the Original Wii Fit. The upgrade from our old Wii Fit was easy and worked just fine.

The 2 top things our family liked about the upgraded game are the new games and the ability to create routines. We've had a lot of fun playing the old version of the Wii Fit game and were pretty excited to get the next game. We've played it quite a bit, and I just got the piggy bank to turn silver last night.

Pros:

+ New Games. There's about 60 total games/exercises now in the game. The kung fu game is pretty fun.

+ Ability to create routines

+ Multiplayer mode makes it so much easier to switch between players after a game and compare scores

+ Pre-set routines if you want to isolate certain areas for exercise

+ Lets you add the family pet

+ Lets you set up baby profile

+ You can choose where you want to exercise on the island (such as in the cycling game). You control where you go.

+ The game will track how many estimated calories you've burned per exercise

+ The Golf game will actually analyze your swing and give you tips - Pretty cool!

+ There are new Body Tests that check peripheral vision, mental ability, and balance. Some of those tests are hard for little kids (not to mention me).

Cons (reason for 4 stars):

- The instructors still give the same old tips after the exercises

- We were hoping for more new and improved Yoga and Strength exercises. They only received 3 new exercises/poses each.

We like the game for the Yoga activities and the fun games the family can play together. If you're looking for more of a workout, the EA Active game is great although Wii Fit Plus makes much better use of the balance board than the EA Active game does.

I agree with everything [...] says in his/her review

This is a great game that allows you choose your workout level.

The Obstacle course and Kung fu can't be beat.

I never imagined I'd like downhill skiing -- but I'm addicted

And believe it or not, I am now walking or running 20 minutes a day in my BASEMENT and I don't mind.

Worth the price

This version allows you to customize routines and select workouts based on what you want to work on (leaner, arms, shoulders & back, relax etc). There are new games as well, which we all love. You can even create a Mii for your pets and track their weight. Everything the original Fit was missing is here in the Fit Plus.

This game made Wii Fit so much better. Its a must have. The new games are awesome. And the ability to have workouts without having to move around the menu is great. One draw back, the game tells you how many calories you probably burned in each game or workout you do. Seems to be very small numbers and can be a little demotivational.

Overall - great game.

I got the wii Fit Plus for Christmas and absolutely love it! There are some great workouts on the game and tons of variety so I don't get bored. I like that you track the days you workout - it is good motivation.

The new WiiFit Plus is all that I expected. A person can have fun while getting a great workout, as did the first WiiFit. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Yes, it still has the old games but also some new ones and you can create your own workout routine. It also tells you how many calories you've burned which helps you with weight loss. It's fun and you're getting a workout, what could be better?

I bought this because i had read that it was an improvement on the original Wii Fit, and it definitely is. None of the exercises are locked, there are more games, a LOT more and you can play multiplayer. I have a lot of fun with this game, to the point where I have played for an hour and didn't even realize it and have had a workout in the process.
