My wife and I enjoy working out on the wii. We love the interaction with the game. If you miss a day the computer lets you know. We both reccommend the wii fit plus. It is just as good as going to the gym without all the people. Ken

I purchased the Wii Fit Plus for my wife this past Christmas. Our gym had gone out of business, and this seemed pretty interesting for us (late 30s). We had already owned the Wii console from the year before, but we had lost some interest as had our kids (4/6). Well its easy to say this changed everything!

The addition of the balance board completes the whole 'virtual reality' experience of the Wii. I am amazed how the board can detect your arms flapping or hips gyrating to really immerse you into the game. The balance and training plus games (new to wii fit plus) are tons of fun, and we have spent dozens of hours playing them with the kiddos.

I have been doing the strength training exercise for over 60 days now, and I have noticed a big difference - most notably in my legs, posture, and balance. More than anything, I would say the Wii Fit Plus works on improving your balance. I have gained about 5 pounds of muscle in my legs - which is exactly what I needed - while losing pounds of fat around my waist. I have always had a V shaped upper body with skinny weak legs and a flat butt, but after 2 months my legs and hines are possibly as strong as they have been since college. I work out every other day, and I have yet to lose interest. One exercise - the single arm lift - was such a beating at first, that I thought I was going to give up all together. But now I pop right up like a spry teenager. I think I even walk different now. I have just started to supplement the Wii Fit with a few dumbbell exercises - incline bench, curls, and shoulder lifts - for a little extra girth in the upper body for swimsuit season (the Wii tends to slim down and tone, not build up). I have not even tried the yoga yet, but I may in the next few weeks.

We ended up purchasing several more games now to utilize the balance board, although none utilize it as well as this game IMHO. We recently purchased the Sports Resort which is also getting alot of play time from the kids. We also just bought another Wii and WFP with board for my wife's parents, and plan to get one for mine since they have so much fun playing it...

I bought the Wii Fit primarily to entertain my Grandchildren when they visited.

I was pleased to find that I enjoy joining them in the fun. I am 63 years old and with Wii Fit it is fun to exercise.

The WII Fit is great as far as fun and the results are amazing. It really helps you to do the exercises correctly. My favorite is the Yoga.

I bought this as a way to supplement my family's exercise during the bad northeast winter months. I wasn't sure what to expect but the price was low enough that I thought it would be worth the risk. It is way better than I expected. We all use it, quite regularly, even my husband. I look more for activities that burn calories rather than just entertainment, but there is definitely enough of an assortment so that anyone can play and find something that interests them. And each activity has a different level that can be unlocked once you master the basic one, so that adds to the value. While I still think outdoor exercise is best, this does make a nice alternative when it's too nasty or cold (or deer season has begun and you just don't feel comfortable with shots flying all over the place!)

I was in the market for the Wii balance board and I preordered the new board plus these new games. I am glad I bought the new board and games. I have worked out for more than an hr and have not realized how long because this is SO MUCH FUN! My young children get a kick out of watching Mommy work out. They copy what I do so I know they are getting exercise too. Don't hesitate!

The Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board is a great addition to our Wii!!! We absolutely love it! I've been telling myself for a year that I was going to get in better shape but just never have the motivation to keep going... that is until I got the Wii Fit Plus! It's loaded with fun games, great exercises, and it keeps me moving and holds me accountable with my goals! Even my 3 year old enjoys it! Not really for the losing weight/getting in shape side of it, but he loves to play the balance games and to do yoga with me. Overall, it's a great purchase!

I have 3 kids and my wife and I are barely able to get anytime on it unless the kids are asleep. It is a great tool for helping them get off their backsides and become more active during the winter months when it is too cold to go outside. The games are only one feature they enjoy. They actually have more fun exersizing!!!!!!

Wii fit was purchased as a gift for my daughter and she loves it so much that I'm planning on buying one for myself.

If Wii Fit has a flaw, it may be that it begins with an induction ritual during which it announces that you are underweight, overweight, weak, or older than your years. In our reasonably healthy family, only the 18 year old gymnast completely satisfied the Wii's requirements. However, you can do this bit in private and password protect your data if you choose to.

Wii Fit has activities for balance, yoga, strength training, and aerobics. The activities are of three types.

First, and probably most fun for the family, are the games in which your Mii, the Wii avatar, is playing a sport or game. You can fly, play obstacle course games reminiscent of Japanese game shows, juggle, or try out sports from boxing to snowboarding. You can work on your golf swing (the feedback from the balance board is really useful)or do a step class, or swing your hips to do math equations. The running option is interesting. We added our dog to the game, so his Mii joined us on our runs. You put the controller in your pocket while you run on the ground, not the balance board, and you can change channels and watch TV while you run. If you'd rather watch your Mii run, you get a quiz at the end on what you've seen during the run, a feature which can help keep you focused.

There are also more abstract games in which you use your movements on the balance board to move objects in mazes and so forth. These are intended to assist with balance and posture.

Finally, there are the yoga and strength exercises. You choose a male or female trainer and do standard exercises to the Wii's count. You're led through slow push ups and planks, tree pose, lunges, and plenty more. The balance board gives some feedback, and the virtual trainer is encouraging. Some of the strength training moves seemed pointless without weights, and Wii weights seem only to come in 2lb sizes, but the rest of the movements work well. There may be too much of a break between the movements, but that may also get smoother as we improve our Wii Fit skills.

We like the way the game keeps track of your time spent, and the variety of games. We've read reviews that say "better than nothing" and we're not giving up our gym memberships, but we think this'll be a great way for our college athletes to keep in shape during vacations, and the desk workers in the group expect to be able to get a good workout on days when we only have 30 minutes.

This one is a lot of fun.

Wii Fit Plus is a fun way to incorporate exercise into your daily routine. It offers a number of games and exercises to accomplish. However, it can be frustrating for video game novices or others that are not in complete control of the core body.

Something I am finally sticking with, and even my husband is weighing in with me everyday.

I love the way it keeps track of things and shows me that I have improved.

My treadmill is still sitting around doing nothing, along with my bike, but every single day I am trying to beat my goal with the Wii fit plus.

When I started out only 4 weeks ago, I couldn't even do 400 steps on the aerobics, but now I am up to 1000 steps. I was out of breath doing the hula hoop, and now I am on the advanced level...So many challenges and you can even put it on pause if you want to answer the phone or need a break. I love the fact that there is a basic run game and you can put the remote in your pocket and walk around the house while talking on the phone and burn more calories.

I am very happy with this unit and I can't wait for a Wii Fit plus II to come out.
