purchased this game for a friend's birthday gift..
it was fun yet easy to beat
My children and I love this game! We play exclusively multiplayer taking turns battling it out. There is a single player "campaign" but fighter games like this aren't made for playing by your self. Swinging the controllers around is a blast and using the additional controls to use the Force adds game play depth for more mature gamers.
We tried using lightsabers like the ones sold here but they don't work well with the controller (affecting controls) and tend to be really cheap. While it's fun to play with them I don't recommend them. Even my kids stopped using the sabers so that they could actually control their guys on screen.
There are a lot of budget titles for Wii but most are miss. This one is a hit and at less than $20 a must have for families with children looking for inexpensive fun.
As if we didn't get enough Jedi/Sith action with the Wii version of The Force Unleashed, Krome hands us another slice of Lucasfilm pie! Molded after the new Clone Wars film and television animation comes Star Wars, Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels! Using the Wii-mote for your Lightsaber again is great! Swings are responsive as they were in Unleashed. The clashing of Lightsabers is back and in full force. Krome added a few new clashing mechanics to get that "power struggle" feeling across when you play. Force powers are again mapped to the Nunchuk. Force powers in this game are not so profound as they are in The Force Unleashed.
Every character is balanced out with his own style, powers, and moves. The characters and arenas look like they were taken right out of the show! High resolution textures and particles make this game beautiful.
Sound effects, voices, and musical score all sound terrific. Yes, the Lightsaber sound effects are still heard in the Wii-mote speaker as they did in The Force Unleashed.
The game emulates some of the show's greatest Jedi/Sith conflicts. If you loved The Force Unleashed on Wii, you will definitely want to pick up Lightsaber Duels for the Wii!
While attending Jedi Academy I was put through rigorous light saber training regimes. This simulation while fun, may not be 100% accurate to the core training I received.
All kidding aside, I bought this for my son's 6th birthday. We had a Jedi-themed party and all of the kids competed in a tournament. The game is very fun to play. All of the kids ended up just swinging their arms wildly and hoped their speed would win them the fight and I must say that was usually the case. I have tried playing it and several times the characters ignored my subtle strikes and other moves. This leaves it up to being a fantastic party game but might not be as true to the series as I would have liked. I even played it with the Wii Plus controllers on and off to see if it made a difference, I noticed nothing.
Pros:
>> Fast game play
>> Accurate Clone Wars characterizations
>> Very fun and addictive
<< Not as accurate as you would think with the Wiimotes
<< Short game play
All in all a VERY fun game to add to your collection. Might be better to try before you buy though.
Thanks for reading my review.
this game is a lot of fun. i am not a gamer, however, playing with my seven year old son and we both enjoyed it alot.
I purchased this game for my Grandson. He lives in CA and I in WI. I wanted to get him something he would like and find exciteing. I also got 2 Light Saber to go with this. Although the recommended age group is a little older, I was told he plays the game well, and really loves both items.
This is incredibly challenging! I bought this game since I had beaten all the levels on lego star wars and it was starting to get boring. I started out on Jedi Knight thinking that it would be no sweat but I was taken down completely! I had to go back and start on Youngling level and even that was difficult. I would not recommend this for anyone under the age of 13. My younger siblings tried it but got way to frustrated. If you're a star wars fan looking for some real lightsaber action this is the game for you!
This is a great Star Wars game if your a young kid and want to swing your wii remote around and around. If your older like me however, this game will tire you out quickly after a while. The games controls are simple and one can learn them rather quickly. I know that the younger members of my family will end up loving this game, I however just home I don't sprain my wrist while playing.
"Great Game" My sons Devante and Deandre are Star Wars nuts so naturally it was a hit!
This is the best game for WII! I don't play video games, but I got this for my son who loves Star Wars. I play it with him because it is so much fun!
This is a great game, just like the commercials depicted. The talking during the saber duel scenes is cool, also the forces powers and moving objects are fantastic. This game could even be better with four player action.
I bought this game for my little sister's 11th birthday and she loves it. The light sabers makes it even better!
It's a fun game but it is very tiring and there are times when you get lost and only managed to move the control from side to side. I can recommend but beware with your arm. First heated
I will begin by saying that this game wasn't as spectacular as I thought it would be. It is not like you are using the Wii remote as a light saber, which was disappointing at first, but once I got into the game itself and started playing, it became addictive. It's a challenge to get the moves down and the game has it's flaws, but it gives you a workout and you can have loads of fun playing by yourself or with someone else. It is much more fun to play against another person because it gets intense, but it is also fun to unlock the characters and see how far you can go in the challenges. All in all, it is a good game to have, especially when you are in need of a game to play when you have friends over.
Bought this game for Christmas for my kids, they just love it. I even played it and had a lot of fun. It makes you work out, I was winded after playing, but loved it. Action and cool graphic.
