My son uses this wheel for Monster Truck World Circuit and Cars Maternational and he loves it. Great value for $9.99. Far superior to the wheel that came with the Monster Truck game - it left a sticky residue on the Wii mote.
Helps with playing MarioKart. Nice to have an extra wheel for 2 players. Control fits nicely into wheel.
The wheels have an excellent quality, and playing racing games with them are a lot fun!
All you need to know is that this game is great. Its a little tough to get used to using the wheel, but it doesnt take long. Online play is flawless.
Yes, it is just a piece of plastic that your Wiimote fits in to, but it well worth having. My kids use it every time they play a driving game, and that can't be said for the golf club, bat, or tennis racket accessory. Even though in your head you know it isn't "doing" anything, it just makes the game more fun, and at the heart of it, that's what Nintendo games are all about.
Purchased for my daughter, found that the game is great fun for all of us. Especially fun with a second wheel so you can "team race"
The whole family ages 9-45 are in love with this game. New problem we only have 2 wheels...I guess we will have to order 2 more soon.
I purchased Mario Cart which came with the Wii Whell. I went home and played it with some friends. We all took turns switching between the wheel and the Wiimote Nunchuk combo while playing. Everyone loved it so much I went out later that day and bought three more.
It is a little hard getting used to it. It doesn't feel completely nature with the wheel just dangling out in limbo, but after you get the hang of it, it is great. My wife took a picture of us playing we all looked like we were 12 again playing Super Nintendo Mario Cart. Except we were having way more fun.
My son loves this game and won't stop playing. He loves the feel of the steering wheel and feels like he is really driving. It is such a joy to watch him play.
If you rarely play video games, the Wii Wheel will certainly make it easier for you to drive your vehicle in Mario Kart Wii without having to learn a new, abstract control scheme. The controller, however, responds very slowly this way and you'll have a hard time keeping up if you play against people who steer using an analog stick. The wheel is fun for a bit but running into walls and losing lots of races quickly becomes frustrating.
The concept of a Wiimote wheel was just plain hilarious. And very easy to poke fun of. Why do you need a plastic wheel that's detached from anything? Are you going to drive with it at the top of your head? Then there's the fact that they went through 20-iterations or so to design the wheel. And then you can go on and on about how complicated is it to design a wheel. It's not like they needed to reinvent the wheel.
But then I actually used, and surprised surprised it was fantastic. It felt natural to use the wheel and the wiimote together. It's comfortable and the response was just seamless. It was especially useful at keeping me from over steering as I wont to do in previous mario kart game. So yes, the wheel is definitely worth it. I don't know how people with different hand sizes feel about the wheel, but it perfectly suited mine.
I love the wii wheel. It makes the racing feel so much more authentic and I have had no issues with it what so ever.
Just got this today. Wife and kids have been playing with it all day.. Can I say more!!?
All I can say is: When Is It My Turn?

The wheel gives mariokart Wii just that little something extra to make make the game really fun and simple for all ages and also more involved. It makes you feel like you are in the game because you are actually holding a steering wheel for every turn. Cheap and simple product, worth the extra money.
The wheel is a lot of fun to use. it does take some time to get used to, but once you do, you will not want to use anything else!
