This game is the sequel to nerf n-strike and B.O.B. is back. Shane (the boy who B.O.B. recruits in the first game) and the rest of the trainees from the first game set out to destroy B.O.B.. This game is tons of fun and I love it, and the new red reveal was a nice touch. You can use this reveal to find enemy weak points and codes through out the game. The main point is if you love nerf you'll probally love this game.

My son is a big Nerf fan and also loves "war games" on xBox, so I purchased this game to try out when we got a Wii. Big hit with the kids and the grownups were interested enough to play along in co-op mode. Other shooting games admired by little boys (Call of Duty, Halo, etc) have pseudo-violence and some bad language, so it is a bonus that this game keeps it clean, with the violence limited to blasting robots and property. Characters in the game are a diverse group of teenagers, including a girl. There is plenty of talking in the game as they try to one-up each other with their battle skills but it's all g-rated.

One thing I noticed was that there is a lot less backstory to the mission. Essentially, the game moves you through the terrain automatically and you shoot-shoot-shoot. My son loved this, as he sometimes get frustrated with the grown-uo games where you have to do a lot of searching around before you get to the action. The fact that the game moves you automatically is not really a drawback, since it increases the challenge in shooting some targets before you pass them up.The red reveal function was also fun: when a symbol comes up on the screen, you look through a special lens on the gun to see a secret code to use, etc.

Another fun thing for my son was the ability to use real Nerf guns in the game (like you can purchase in a store). The game starts you with one and you can purchase more weapons and upgrades as you collect credits for targets destroyed in the mission. When you purchase a Nerf gun in a store, it also often comes with a code that you enter in the game to get a "free" weapon. Like other shooting games, you will always have ammo for one weapon but may run out for your other weapons---you shoot targets in the mission to reload those if necessary. NOTE: using the blaster with the game means you have the red-reveal decoder, and it's easier to shoot with the trigger; you can, however, use the normal Wii controller without the gun and just fire with the B button (more hand fatigue though so I would buy a second blaster).

True, the game is not as hard, long, or complex as the grown-up war games, but just the reaction from the kids makes it clear that this one is a winner in their eyes.

Bought this for two sets of grandsons. They both absolutely love this game and can play it for hours on end. Great product.

My son (7) loves this game. I think I have more fun than he does playing though. It is a pretty easy game for smaller people, though using the red view finder to find the hidden words is a little tough for smaller guys. I don't like that it won't let you turn around to see what's behind you but maybe I just haven't figured out how to do this yet. I would recommend but definitely advise to buy online at Amazon due to in the store this game is $59.99 and I bought on Amazon for $39 so I was able to get extra gun and game for same price as game in store.

My 6 year old son loves this game as well as my 17 year old and husband! Great "man" time.

I got this for my 11 year old grandson and he loves it. He said it was a lot of fun.

I bought this for my 7 year old son, but I think it was a little difficult for him to aim and shoot. I think it would be easier for an older child. He was excited about the game, but hasn't played it much. Maybe when he is older.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. Very entertaining, very kid friendly.

My sons, 10 and 12, love this game! They really wanted a shooting game, but I don't want the blood of games such as Call of Duty, so this is a good compromise. The characters in the game use nerf darts to shoot robots. In order to play against an opponent, you need to get the extra wii nerf gun.

My 6 year old son liked this game in the beginning. The graphics are okay, nothing great. The game play is good at first but gets boring quickly There is no real challenge. The worst part about this game is that you cannot adjust or fine tune the aiming and for us we have to point the gun to the right of center in order to be centered. This is REALLY annoying and that inaccuracy is just terrible. The "red reveal" filter is a nice addition and makes it somewhat more interesting. My 6 year old liked it for the first 20 minutes, the rest of us were not pleased at all....and pretty bored. You do not have the ability to move as you please. After spending a decent amount of time reviewing this, I am very comfortable recommending a pass, unless you have very young children (and even then I'm not so sure). The little nerf gun comes with 3 nerf darts. They have a soft tip and travel several feet. They are perfect size to catch you right in the eye, so, BE CAREFUL, especially with children around (and since I cannot imagine old kids or adults enjoying this for too long I wonder what's the point). Also, you cannot use the darts and the wii remote simultaneously. The darts are for playing as a regular nerf gun only. As for 3 ways to play, that is a little deceptive because the "Red Reveal Tech," is really a red filter that shows different information in the game. MY guess is this will be greatly discounted soon, and at half the price, this would be ok (just ok), however, at this point it's an easy pass. Please note I spent several hours on this game, way past my sons interest, in the interest of a fair review. My sympathies to EA and Nerf (two companies who usually put out great products)....you can't win them all.

Got this for my son for X-Mas. He is a huge nerf fan and wanted this game so bad. I put it under the tree and when he opened it he went nuts and had to play it. He was playing it before he could open any other presents. I am happy I got it for him and would recommend it for anyone that likes Nerf Games. The gun is also a regular Nerf gun so that is a plus as well.

This is the best nerf game I've ever played! The red reveal feature that allows you to get secret codes is awesome! Great for all ages.

I got this for Christmas for my 5 year old son. He has been playing this game non-stop! I love that there is a non-violent shooting game out there. He quickly realized that the gun shoots only nerf darts and thought that was pretty cool. I also like that the game only shoots at robots who are shooting nerf darts at you, there is no shooting at other people. My son really have loved playing this game and even though we have beat it on the easy setting he still goes back and plays the levels over and over again. Super fun game! Oh! and for those who don't want to listen to the talking portions you can hit "A" on the Wii remote and it will skip that. Happy shooting!

A great shooting game that is appropriate for young children. Finding codes with the red view finder adds to the fun for kids. I thought including a foam dart launcher was unnecessary, but when my 9 year old was playing the video game and then asked if the gun could shoot real darts, I understood that the designers had done their research!

My 7 year old loves this game. It has 3 different levels so it's not too hard. It's not a violent game, the "bullets" are just nerf bullets. Great game!
