I'm in my middle 40's and really never really got much exercise over

the last 20 years;

so I bought the Wii fit a while back,

This made a gym in my own living room possible,

I LOVE WORKING OUT in the privacy of my own home, no gym fees, no pretty little gym outfit to buy,

I lost weight and gained muscle mass within a few weeks.

The exercises are fun and some can be quiet exhausting,

I love using the Wii fit with the balance board but after a while it got a bit boring just doing all the same things all over again,

So this is what I did:

I bought:

My Fitness Coach by UBI Soft

And

Gold's Gym Cardio Workout (you can use the Wii Balance board with it)

I also bought some hand weight and a stability ball (to use with the fitness coach)

Now this is my exercise regiment every day:

Wii fit + My fitness coach on even days

Wii Fit + Gold's Gym Cardio Workout on uneven days

Now people that is FUN!!!

I'm working full time but I'm looking forward to my workout at night.

Fitness coach and Gold's Gym Cardio Workout will give you a total workout without having to constantly switch between different exercises,

In the fitness coach you can choose the workout time and in the Gold's Gym Cardio Workout you can choose a prepared workout or an a la carte, where you can actually choose how hard you want to work out.

Let me tell you, I had muscle aches on muscles I did not know I had ;-)

I love it and everyone should have it and live a little healthier and (maybe) live a little bit longer!

I bought this just based on the recommendations. I was leaning towards other products that used the WII Fit balance board, but they mostly had horrendous reviews.

My fitness coach is just a well-designed tool to walk you through a workout based on your goals. It's easy to use, has a wide variety of routines & exercises, and simply focuses on fitness goals as opposed to flash & gimmicks. I can't give it a high 'fun' rating, but it definitely does what is sets out to do.

First of all, I like how you do an intial evaluation so that the game knows approximately how fit you are. It then tailors workouts to your fitness level - unlike a DVD. It'll also ask after workout segments how difficult or easy they were for you - another way to get the workouts tailored correctly for each individual. A DVD gives the same workouts for everyone.

Secondly, I love how you have a long term goal, and then a focus goal for the day - that way you can work on your long term, as well as short term, and the workouts are different every time you do them.

Third, If you have hand weights, or a balance/stability ball, heart-rate monitor, or step bench, you get a chance to use them by telling the game which you have - and if you don't have them, you won't see any exercises featuring them.

Finally, you can choose your workout backround, and backround music.

I was going to get the Jillian Michaels game originally, but after I read the poor reviews, I decided to get this one instead, and I am very happy with my choice!

I got this game for my adult daughter, but found that I enjoy it as well. This game has you test for your fitness level and take your measurements, then creates recommended workouts for you. If you have a balance ball, hand weights, a heart rate monitor, or a step, the workouts will incorporate them. My first workout was pretty easy, so I didn't think this was going to work for me, but they asked how I was doing part way through, and adjusted the difficulty for my next workout. You choose how long you want to work out and set goals for yourself. I would recommend this game to someone just starting to work out or someone who wants a fun way to supplement what they're already doing.

Folks this is simply one of the best things ever. I have the Wii Fit and was looking for a way to take it up a notch. The Jillian Michaels game is just a hot mess. I wouldn't recommend that for anyone.

My Fitness Coach is so great. I'm one of those people whose tried just about everything and spent a tone of money on stuff that I never use. Maya the personal trainer, is very motivational and takes you through a workout that will surely get you in shape. Like anything else, you get out of it what you put in. There is NO magic trick that is going to tone you up or get the pounds off. If I were you I wouldn't listen to the negative noodle ratings. This program is better than a workout dvd where you do the same thing everyday. Try it and give yourself 30 days to see the progress. That's what I'm going to do and I'm going to stick with my five day a week schedule. I'll keep you posted!

I made the crucial mistake of buying Jillian Michaels before reading the reviews. I am wiser now. I read the reviews of this game and watched the price fluctuate. I decided to take the plunge and get this game. I am loving it. I cursed Maya out 20 minutes into the workout because she was really pushing me! I like that you can incorporate the fitness ball, weights and step into your routine if you have these items. What I do not like is the repetition of Maya's comments. There is something else but I can't remember right now.

Overall this is a great product because it keeps you moving for the set amount of time that you want.

"My Fitness Coach" software, designed for Wii has proven to be an excellent way for me to stay in shape in the comfort of my home. When I don't have time to get to the gym (which I do about 4-5x per week), I just pop the DVD into the Wii console and away I go. It's the perfect way to mix my workouts so that I don't "burnout" from repetition.

What's to like? Easy to follow instructions. Quality graphics. Customized workouts. A dynamic assortment of aerobic, upper, lower and core strengthing exercises. Even recommendations from your "fitness coach" based on your body profile which is created at the outset. Developing a body profile takes about 30 minutes, so it can be a bit tedious; but it's not required. My experience is that a establishing a profile maximizes the benefits of the program's recommendations.

The daily workout recommendations can be followed avidly or you can spontaneously choose your own workout from the menu with the touch of a button.

I've enjoyed the versatility of being able to select the workout length: 15, 30, 45min or 1 hour. It's also a nice perk to have a several animated environments to choose from, in addition to a few music genres. Even better-- "my fitness coach" periodically asks how I'm feeling so future workouts can be revised to my conditioning needs, more or less demanding.

After 30 days, I'm extremely happy with this exercise software program. I use it several times a week as the ideal counterpoint to treadmills, walkers....and even outdoor bicycling. Whether you're a workout warrior or a newbie to fitness, I think you'll find "My Fitness Coach" to be right on the money.

I love love LOVE this game!!! I'm trying to lose weight and get in generally better shape, and I very much prefer it over Wii fit for the following reasons:

1. You can set a workout time and don't have to fiddle with menus every 30 seconds.

2. I mostly do cardio, and Maya tailors each segment to be perfect so you can keep up but don't get bored. I've been doing it for 2 weeks, and I can already feel that I'm stronger, but she keeps making it harder so I keep getting a great workout! (She asks you how hard it was for you after each segment and adjusts accordingly)

3. Maya has a very friendly and pleasant voice - she doesn't yell at you like Jillian Michaels, but is instead motivating and encouraging.

4. Personally, I really LIKE that this game does not use the Wii balance board. In Wii fit, the balance board slows everything down! You just follow Maya's instructions and movements on screen.

A few things I DON'T like:

1. With the cardio and especially yoga, Maya does not tell you how to do the exercises each time. You have to remember how to do each move. With the yoga, you're often bent over where you can't be watching her on the screen, and you progress through several positions, having to guess when to go to the next one.

2. This is random, but the on-screen menu buttons are extremely small and it's really hard to choose a specific button!

This Fitness Coach is so much better than I was expecting! I recommend this to anyone who wants to get into any kind of shape. You can personalize this to what works for you. I am very impressed with everything you can do. I love it!

This game is not meant to fun. It is an exercise workout. If you are honest about the data you give in setting it up (and you should be), it will give you a good workout. No need for extra Wi equipment, but I would recommend a bench or something to step on to, some weights, an maybe an exercise ball. No need to go to aerobics classes with this game... unless you just like to be around other people.

I bought this after reading all the great reviews but i am disappointed. Its not very interactive I wish you could use the remotes more for some kinda feedback. Telling the trainer how I'm feeling just isn't cutting it. I find myself sitting back down on the couch and surfing the internet. I do like that you do a test to see your current fitness level and set goals. I don't like that there isn't much feedback on those goals. I wish there was a calendar that you could see when you worked out and for how long. I still use it twice a week and it does have a nice assortment of exercises and is a good workout. This was my first game purchase for the wii. It is not a game and should be thought of more as an exercising video. I really like golds gym cardio workout.

After reading the reviews, i got the exercise dvd wii ''' my fitness coach'' although beginners may have a problem, but as you use it, you will be just fine, I have been exercising a lifetime and I will never go back to the GYM... '' MY FITNESS COACH'' is the answer to my exercise dream, i do it on my time in my home and I sweat, like i was in the gym.. I recommend this highly for all you can also incooporate any equipment you have eg. hand weights, step, abdomen ball etc you check it off and the wii instructor uses them in your routine...I also have wii fit and I like my fitness coach much better, because it is a constant class, where as wii fit, it is more stop and go...

This game is awesome. I have seen incredible results. I get up every morning and can't wait to do 45-60 minute workout. This is the first thing I have actually stuck to and looked forward to doing. I use the weights, the step bench and the ball with mine. It gives a great workout. I recommend this to anyone. I started about a two months after having my second child and I am just a few pounds shy of my pre pregnancy weight (He was born in November). I am more toned than before I was pregnant also. The only prob I have is the extra belly skin but we are working on that. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!
