I was given this game as a Christmas gift from my kid sister and I definitely love it! The game is very basic, yet it remains entertaining and full of fun for the family and for the mates in my university dorm.
The game features the classic Monopoly board and tokens as well as several other unlockable boards. Up to four players can play, with computer players available with different difficulties if wanted. Game play is captivating and includes a pause menu and save option. Game play can also be changed according to preference to change tax charges or free parking amounts.
There is also another edition included, "Richest Edition" which is a faster, interesting spin on the classic game. In Richest Edition, up to four players roll die and play different Monopoly-themed mini-games. They then pick their choice of die based on game outcome. Rent is paid in properties and if no properties are owned, bankruptcy is not an option. Games can last from as little as twenty minutes to as much as an hour and provide hours of fun!
Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys party games or board games! Thanks, Hasbro!
I am addicted to this game. I was already a true monopoly fan. If you love the board game like I do you are going to love this. The board is a little hard to see but if you're a true monopoly fan like I am you already know where all the properties are!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We couldn't figure out how to play for just two players and it kept playing for four. It was not fun at all.
My family loves Monoply, so this was a lot of fun for us. It moves along Quickly and you don't have to spend the time setting up and picking up after. We play this a lot more than ever did the board game. Plus ther are different boards you can play on.
This game was fun when we first got it. I liked the different kinds of boards, unfortunately we didn't get to play a full game because some one stole the game from us. When I replace the Wii this will be one of the first games that we buy back, Monopoly never gets old.
this is an awesome game, all the swapping and trading and you can choose all the settings,a must have.
This game is awesome. I am completely addicted. I love monopoly and don't always have some one to play with, so this is a great alternative. If you are a monopoly fan, and don't mind playing electronically, I recommend this game. One down side - you have to play with four players, which takes a little longer, but if you play smart, get them to go bankrupt, you get the properties, and a faster game.
My husband and I play this all the time. It so much faster than the old way and there are many boards to pick from. Wereally have enjoyed playing. It is a lot of fun!
I love the Wii Monopoly game. I feel the classic board, the World Edition board, as well as the boards that are unlocked are awesome. I have unlocked the future board and the sweet board so far, and love both.
I was hoping to get this for Christmas, and I did. It is far more than I had expected. I love the multiple boards and Mister Monopoly vocally hosting each game.
If you're as into Wii games as I am, love Monopoly, or both, get your hands on this classic version before it's gone for good.
Purchased for my 12 year old son, now not only is he addicted but the rest of the family is to. It's sad when 14 grown adults are crowded around a big screen shouting and screaming for their favorite to win while the child of the family watches on in hysterics. Great family fun. Would recommend to all!
I disagree with the majority of the bad comments. It is fun. I recommend it.
I was surprised at the number of people bashing this game.
First off handling the property and money for monopoly is one of the oldest and most time consuming parts of the game. This is completely eliminated and is all done automatically. It also prevents cheaters from grabbing properties and money out of the till.
I also love the fact that you can deal with not only other players, but the computer players. It makes the game really interesting. My boy and I literally played this for days and have unlocked not only the mini-games, but all of the boards.
I will agree that the board is hard to read, but I am near-sighted and thought that was just me, LOL!
All in all, if you dont want to monkey around with the money and properties then this game rocks and is good for a lot of fun. The best is when you have 3 or more players, but you can use the computers to you advantage. The computer will change all of their cash and all of there property for certain properties like Boardwalk. This really gives you an advantage. It is also fair because all players know it.
If you dont like the talking or music just click the button and it shuts off. Some reviewer stated it just goes on and on incessantly, not true. Good luck and have fun.
This is a great game for the whole family to play together. There are a couple of rules that are different but it's still fun.
We LOVE playing Monopoly as a board game...but on the WII it is EVERY BETTER!
Wonderful Mini-Games also!
If you LOVE Monopoly, You HAVE to get this! :D
This is a great way to play Monopoly without the fuss of the board game. Play alone against three computer opponents or with your friends. The graphics and animations are well thought out. Fun for hours and well worth the $40.00 cost.
