I bought this game to lure some friends to come play Wii with me. Being that we are all in our late 20's, it can be a bit of a challenge depending on your friend base. Well, it worked! I have been having SO much fun with this game and other people. Online play is also a ton of fun as you can have a great time with friends across the country. I also play with my DH a lot, and we have a blast! My only complaint is that we opened all the 32 levels pretty quickly, and I wish there were more levels! However, the unlockable characters and vehicles make this game remain fun, and with friends over its always a winning kick back time. Give it a try, you'll love it and so will almost anyone else you know.
Omg, you to have this wonderful game. It is fun in every way! The wheel is the best part bebe.So go out there and get yourself one. I will guarantee you this is the best game on earth.I played this and I got to addicted and cant stop bebe..
Our 5 year old on up to our 65 year mother loves this game and do well playing it. It is easy to learn and has so many options, it does not get boring!
I have been a fan of MarioKart ever since it came out on the super nintendo, through the years I have played all its versions even the handheld ones (nintendo DS), Now that I'm a father I bought my son a nintendo wii with mario kart, and its a blast. Controling the kart with a wireless steering wheel is FUN, easy and it trully makes playing this game a whole new experience.
You see many of the original tracks as in previous games, but they have added new stuff, new tracks, FASTER tracks, new caracters, bonuses, and top all they added a BIKE ride where you can make stunts and all, I can't comment much on the BIKE part since I like this game so BAD that my son and I are going for gold and best times on all kart races before going into the BIke part.
Also they added a feature to the game which allows you to connect to the internet an COMPETE with other players around the world, which makes it even cooler cause you can really show how good you are on this game, we are practicing before we try it so that we don't get our butts kicked.
I recommend this game to any kid or any adult that still has the nintendo spirit within.
Mario Cart Wii is the next version of one of Nintendo's most successful and iconic video games, but this version takes the game to a whole new level. In addition to improved graphics, more tracks, and more character options (including your Mii), this game also allows online play. Friends can meet up and set up a "private room" where they race each other, or you can race with players around the world. I have enjoyed this feature the most. Every Tuesday night I meet up with 12 friends to race each other and it's a blast to knock your best friend off their cart so you can win the race. Very Fun!
I can't recommend this game enough for any Nintendo Wii owner. Sure the basic concept of Mario Cart is still the same, but the enhancements for the Wii version make it worth the price. Although the Wii Wheel is not required to play the game I think it's worth the extra few dollars for the fun of it.
Kids 13 to 21, mom and dad, too have a BLAST playing Mario Kart! Lots of fun and competition. Great game, it's a must have.
This game is simple enough to make it fun for beginners but has enough nuance to make it fun for advanced players.
I loved the old MarioKart and this game definitely delivers the same quality game that you just can't put down. The races are fun and not too complicated and it's not precision tuned turning, just fun racing, so any novice game player can pick it up. The wheel is so much more fun, but it's actually a little easier to race with the nunchuk! Nevertheless, I bought a second wheel because noone wanted to be left out.
Oh, the battles are just as fun as before, and you can even play retro battles from the old Mario.
I/we love this game and play it regularly. This is the best game in my opinion for family competition that is non-stop fun! Get four steering wheels and have a blast! Best buy for my Wii ever!
The kids haven't put down the remotes for this game since they got it from Santa. It's fun for all ages and fun to watch, too. We only have one steering wheel, but we use the other remote as if it were a steering wheel, so that two can play at the same time. I would highly recommend this game.
I never had SNES or any other Mario Kart games and a lot of the bad reviews I read are from the purest gamers who have played these games for the last 25 years. Mario Kart Wii is just flat out a great game. I have had so much fun playing this game and challenging family members to races I can't get enough.
I am mostly into sports games and strategy but this brought out my younger days.
Buy it if you want a game that easy to play and gets more challenging as you go.
Bought this for my young son due to the simplicity of the game. Turns out my wife and I play it every other night after the kids go to sleep because it is so much fun! We have two of the WII Wheels for the extra excitement of the game.. It's a blast.
I got this for my family thinking it would be something we would all like. We LOVE it!! The wheel itself makes it easy to drive and there are an amazing selection of race tracks and characters you can be. If you want to get some crazy driving out of your system, I would highly recommend this game! A great crowd pleaser and a must if you are a Wii owner!
This game is a BLAST! It is a challenging game without being too easy. My mom, who just started playing Wii, can play it, and I, who plays everyday, can have a great time playing.
The Online play is a huge plus! The online community offers a different type of challenge than the computer does. The Mario Kart Channel offer tournaments and ghost races. A ghost race is where you race a course against a players best time, not a real time player. It allow you to hone your skills and if you beat that players time, your character is the ghost. I have only had a few instanced where I was disconnected from game play, which is to be expected with any wireless connection.
The wheel, is something I am on the fence about. For new players, it is helpful to know HOW to hold the remote during game play. My mom's first experience with Mario Kart was better because she used the wheel.
With almost a week of playing this game under my belt I would have to say I am not disappointed in this game. I have owned every version of Mario Kart and have loved them all. I like the new tracks (though there are a couple of them that I have a hard time staying on the tracks at the 150cc level) and I like the inclusion of some of the older tracks that I have come to know and love. The graphics are terrific, the sounds are good and the music isn't annoying like it has been in some of the past versions. I love being able to race using my own Mii. It is so much fun to see yourself put into a game. It really gives the game so much more of a personal feeling. Online play is great and there is very little waiting time to find a group of people to play with. People dropping out of a race is no longer a problem as they are usually replaced with new people looking to join in on a game or two. Racing Ghosts online is fun as it gives you on opportunity to see how people compare to you. The first online tournament is fun so far and it's neat how they have changed the track just a little bit (Chain Chomp is running loose instead of being tied to his pole). I see a lot of play coming out of this game as even after I get all the gold cups, there's still lots to do and always people to race online.
