This was purchased for our 14 year old son for Christmas. He has played the game several times a week since then and when his friends and cousins come over, it is among the first games they select to play. Loads of good, clean fun!

My son and grandson are always on the field. They love it. Amazon wins again.

Since I got this game for Christmas I have not been able to stop playing it. Offensive and defensive game play is fun and realistic. My 9 year old son learned to play very quickly and enjoys going head to head with me.

Fun for everyone of all ages.

Got this for my 12 year old son for the Wii. He has been having a great time with it. Plays alone and with friends.

This is pretty much an arcade version of Madden and passing is a little tricky. Lacks a franchise feature and easy player control. It is a huge step up from last years but still has a little ways to go.

Rent this before you buy if you are that interested.

We got this for our 12 year old son for his birthday. It has been a huge hit. The graphics are great! His 10 year old brother has no problem playing it. Very easy to play on lower levels and gets more complicated for advanced users on higher settings. If you like NFL and video games this is a great combo.

My 13 year old son and his 49 year old uncle love this game! They spent hours playing it. The graphics are realistic and it allows you to pick your favorite teams to play.

I had pre-ordered this before it was released and the wait was worth it. Even though the players were re-designed for the Wii version the look and feel of football is real. My 8 year-old son enjoys it and he continues to beat me. Online play is good with a fast & reliable high-speed connection.

My daughter purchased the Wii game system for her family this Christmas. I bought the Madden NFL 2010 football for my grandson because he plays football and he's a Cleveland Browns fan. He loves the Madden football; he plays by himself or with family and friends. We are pleased with the game.

Best football game ever made for the Wii. For the first time, it actually looks like a Madden game should for the platform. The graphics are great, the gameplay is awesome, and although the controls are different than previous versions, they are well thought out and intuitive. Point and Pass takes a little bit to get use to but is a huge improvement once you get it down.

Game modes are a ton of fun, especially if you have friends over. The games are fast paced and entertaining. 5 on 5 mode is awesome this year without the Mario looking field and stadium, and the players don't have the creepy big heads this time around. Online is also a blast, hopefully they make 5 on 5 mode playable online next year...

Overall the best football game on the Wii by far. Great graphics for the platform and great gameplay. The people slamming this our hardcore players who want a simulation football game on the Wii, which just really doesn't make much sense.

Here's what happened: It was suppose to arrive on 12/24 and arrived after Christmas and it was my grandson's gift. Then he put it in and played when he took it out it had a scratch and now does not work.

Leave it to EA to turn this franchise into some sort of special ed version of video football. Not everyone with a Wii is a toddler or a moron! First off, you just need to enter THEWORKS in the code entry part of the "Extras" section of the main menu to unlock franchise and superstar mode. Unfortunately, for those of you who are like me and play franchise mode exclusively, the new rosters are a complete joke with horribly screwed up ratings (as in LOW) for most rookies while several stars in their primes have now been short changed as well. My Chargers would be lucky to win three games this year if these asinine ratings were accurate. It looks like EA set aside maybe one non-football fan intern's lunch break to update the player ratings for the entire NFL. Unbelievably, EA was reportedly considering scrapping franchise mode altogether! Though it's here, it was obviously a last second afterthought. In short, you're better off playing Madden 09 if you're not into the screwball party games which have nothing to do with real football that EA has apparently poured every second of their energy into this year. The graphics are now very cartoony and the controls and physics have amazingly been changed for the worse as well! Who knows, maybe people living in Timbuktu who don't know football from futbol (or foosball) will get a kick out of the lame four player, poor man's arcade style crap, but football devotees looking for a realistic sim should steer well clear. Hopefully the XBox and PS3 versions are better.

Ah, EA: Poster child for the evils of monopoly. The video game review sites/magazines must seriously be on the payroll if they're giving this mind-boggling disaster 8 out of 10. Luckily for me, I didn't buy it.

However individuals may feel about the merits/problems of NFL 2K5, the inescapable fact is that competition brings out the best in companies. If Sony didn't have any competition, we'd probably all still be listening to Walkman cassette players! If there's no other game in town, why release a truly inspired product? EA knows football fans are either going to pay up or do without. I still can't believe the NFL sold exclusive rights to EA. I've actually noticed very few significant improvements over the last 6-7 years of Madden releases. Most of the innovations have been lame, with this year's examples winning top prize. They should just focus on improving gameplay and the franchise mode for the real fanatics who want to play the role of GM, head coach, franchise QB, and star MLB all at once. Everything else is a waste of time and energy, IMHO. I feel that people should boycott this version to light a fire under EA's backside. After playing Madden 10 a bit more, I still can't rate it any higher than one and a half, maybe two stars. I much prefer playing defense on '09 and the new additions on offense this year don't do much for me either. On top of everything else, you can now only change your players' positions in franchise mode at the beginning of each offseason. I almost always like to change a tackle to a guard, DT to a DE, or CB to S once or twice after training camp and now that's impossible. WHY!? On the plus side, at least they got rid of the painful, spastic TD celebration nonsense.

EA really fumbled into their own end zone with this one. I find it bitterly amusing that most of the people who have given this game good reviews are admittedly not even fans of football video games! What more can you say?

First of all, so many reviews of this game here are negative because the reviewers assumed Franchise and Superstar modes weren't included. But they are unlockables and can be unlocked by typing the following codes...

Franchise Mode: TEAMPLAYER

Superstar Mode: EGOBOOST

Situation Mode: YOUCALLIT

Super Bowl Stadium: THEBIGSHOW

Pro Bowl Stadium: ALLSTARS

Master Code (unlocks everything): THEWORKS

That being said, I have played every Madden on Wii so far and find this one the most enjoyable. The menus are now slick and polished, and I would say the same about the gameplay itself. The control schemes are the same except the option to "Point and Pass" has now been included, which I think is a nice option to have. The internet games run without glitches and still do not require friend codes, which is great. After buying this game I would definitely recommend it to those who appreciate good, fun gaming.

This newly revamped edition of EA Madden NFL is a big mistake. They did not build on the successes of earlier editions; instead, they turned it into a child's game. Sure, EA needs to appeal to the younger age-set to make their money... but why not just make a "kids" edition and leave the grown-up aspects of the game alone. If you are an adult, don't waiste your money on this. Just stick to Madden 09.
