I am a 63 year old woman and what fun this is... I like it better than my Wii Fit. I use my Wii Sport and then usually go to this for exercise. It is just a fun thing to do. I don't do to well but have loads of fun. Try it!!
The only thing that would make this game better would be if there were more songs to unlock - but the 30 or so it comes with are a blast! My cousins got the game for Christmas (they live hundreds of miles away) and we saw video of them playing - it looked so fun we had to get it. My other cousin got it and we played and were sweating and laughing and having such a great time that I went and got my own copy. My hubby and I played and even HE loved it!!! (He even beats me half the time which kinda ticks me off since he's not a "dancer" normally! LOL! But BOY OH BOY does he get into this game!)... Then I had a birthday party and at least half the people there played and EVERYONE who played had a blast! I'm talking fun to the point where a couple friends who don't have Wii are wanting to buy one now just for this game, and other friends wanted it so much we immediately ordered them a copy as a gift. I've had the game only a week and a half, have already had at least a dozen people play who loved it, and have had 2 people drive over to my house JUST to play this game because they're so addicted and don't have Wii.
It's true that scoring can seem temperamental - but it's usually your hand orientation from what I've noticed... make sure your palm is facing the same way the example graphic is facing (in, out, up, down), and make sure the wiimote hasn't accidentally started to rotate in your hand so that it's not faced correctly. For me it helps to play without the silicone glove on it. If you let yourself really get into it, it can be a great workout... especially tracks like "Can't Touch This" and some of the disco tracks.
I do wish that it had a left handed mode that reversed the moves simply because my right arm gets more of a workout than the left.
We're planning on having a "Just Dance-Off" with our jr/sr high school youth group kids in a couple weeks... I anticipate a TON of fun!!!
This game is too much fun. Its a work out and enjoyment all at the same time. Its more fun with more people, but if it just a one party affair you'll still like it. I think its great for the family.
great dances.i"m trying to loose weight & these dances are right on time.

This is such a fun game to play alone or with a friend. I first played it at a friends house then I went out and bought my own. Really gets you moving and sweating, gives you a workout without you realizing it. FUN FUN!!! can't wait till they come out with the 2nd one.
Just bought this and played it w/ my kids for over an hour! It's a great workout if you really give it your all and it's a great family fun time. I recommend this 110%!!
I bought this game hoping that my grandaughter and I would enjoy playing it.
We love this game and have a hard time stopping once we start playing.
Worth the price.
This is not for a true gamer but it is fun for the entire family. We had everyone up on their feet dancing from age 7 to 83. Great for family game night or someone wanting to start an exercise routine, you are working your body without thinking about it.
this game is amazing if you put effort into it you will get results. I have lost 50lbs playing this game no joke!!! And my whole family loves it my niece plays all the time. most "hardcore" gamers will say this game is crap but i have played soo many games and so far this is the best. I would highly recommend this game to everyone. It is fun for all ages and well worth the money.
This game is great fun! There is a wide variety of songs to choose from for all tastes. There are different options of play and 1 to 4 people can dance. You can have the high scores saved and keep trying to improve. You don't have to be a good dancer to play this. It is great fun to get some people together and play. It is also great exercise because it is so much fun. I highly recommend this game. The only drawback is I wish there were even more songs. I hope they come out with another edition with even more songs.
I had no motivation, no energy, felt lazy, but this game got me going.
YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS!! Who doesn't dance when no one is looking?!?! LOL
You don't need major skills to play the game, especially if you are just messing around and it doesn't make you feel like you are a disappointment if you get no points. You might just have too much fun.
You burn serious calories if you do all the moves. I do take the game somewhat seriously, I bounce when the figure bounces, duck, slide, shimmy - whenever you see her or him do it in the game, and I end up having a great time doing it, and I don't care about points. I even sing along to the lyrics which is the best cause I even forget that I'm getting a workout in. I play about 10 rounds - FULL SONGS and I am drenched in sweat, out of breath, red in the face, and feel a rush of energy! I end up having a blast and can't stop smiling! At the end, I want to keep playing but I can be so out of breath that I have to give myself a minute. This can only happen if you really get into it!
Some options that I love about the game is that: players can join in anytime during a song. But I hate that after a song finishes I have to point and click OK to continue, sometimes I just want to get into the next song quickly and I have to stop moving to point and click.
It has 32 songs that I believe are really good selections. The latest songs in the game are Womanizer by Britney and Hot n Cold by Katy Perry. It has some good classics which I've never gotten tired of over the years. I enjoyed all the songs even though I'm more of a Hip-Hop head. Songs are
I'm going to add a pedometer to my workout post if anyone is interested.
The game has 32 songs and a couple of different ways to play.
There are difficulty levels to chose from depending on the song. Remember, the more the merrier so if you can have a friend join in, do it!
THIS HAS TO BE IN MY TOP 3 WORKOUT GAMES FOR WII!
WARNING - LITTLE BIO:
I gained so now I weigh 185 and my height is 5'6.
I was really active and always enjoyed sports. It took about 3 years after high school to gain 40 pounds!! Its so embarrassing, I know...
I've lost my motivation and I always have the want to lose weight. BUT I NEVER ACTUALLY GET UP and do it!
I see all these infomercials, I've ordered workout stuff, I've done them but I eventually get bored...I have Wii sports but even that gets boring after a while. Music on those workout videos are kind of boring anyway I'm 23 btw.
I think this is a great way to get off the couch and start moving around a bit. This has boosted my self-esteem in feeling like I can still exercise the way I did in high school because I feel like a BLOB now. lol
I'm going to continue JUST DANCE as a workout for an hour everyday for 30 days. I'm so motivated I might just order P90X after those 30 days. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT YOU CAN DO IT!
This game has entertained both college kids and older adults in our house for hours! It's a very good aerobic workout, and if you get 3 or 4 competing on scores it can be hilarious! Good selection of songs and fun routines make the time go by fast.
Love this game. Love love love it. It is so much fun to play, the songs are a good mix to keep you interested. Good exercise. Excellent party game. Can't recommend it enough.
Possible improvements: More songs. Wireless play/challenge.
People who won't like this game: Anyone obsessed with points. The game has (as far as I can see) no clear logical reason for how it assigns the points it does. But who cares?! It's SO fun! And really, what kind of a person buys a dancing game just to rack up points?
I am 57, needed to get some aerobic exercise in during the winter months (other than "walk the mall") and have always loved to dance, so I figured I would give it a try. It is really a lot of fun and laughs - and there's no denying, you do work up a sweat! Love the songs - haven't gotten thru all of them just yet. I keep trying to master some of the ones I like the most first! Would definitely recommend and hope they come up with some more!
This game is too much fun! We bought it to set up at our 9 years old birthday party as a back up form of entertainment and by the end of the day, all the kids, then all the adults were crowded around waiting for their turn! Just Dance and Wii Sing were then our New Years Eve entertainment too. We can't get enough and our kids love it. Even the shy 11 year old boy gets up there and joins in some Can't Touch This!
