There are not enough games for the Wii that are able to bring the whole family together at once to play. This is one of them! Great classic games and new versions of old classics. My family ranges from 12-37 and we love it.

I received this game as a gift and it includes: Connect Four, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Sorry! and Sorry! Sliders.

The games are played in the same manner as the boardgames, but in an animated environment with Mr. Potato Head as your host. It also comes with in-game specific twists and variations.

I am rating the game 4 stars, as the only games that I enjoy playing are Connect Four and Battleship. Sorry! is ok, but having additional players makes it better.

With Battleship, the sound effects and explosions are what make this game standout from the others on this disc. You can even increase the difficulty of the game by adding in decoys, different weapons (Missles, Heavy Bombs, Lucky Hit - sinks ship if hit).

With Connect Four, you have the original style, but can also play with special chips, that can do all kinds of things: Chips that knock the bottom one out, blow-up other chips, chips that keep others from placing their chip on top, etc...

The other games are not my favorites, in real life or in this version. I would not be doing this game any favors by writing a review on those.

You can win various items that are specific to each of the included games, and they are then displayed in your own room. I have looked at this area, but was not impressed enough that I would want it in a future version.

The game gets the 4 stars, because the two or three games that I play often are so much fun and keep me playing for hours, with or without additional players. The other games and extras would work for other people, but to me are wasted.

This a great game! My husband and I own some of the board games for the ones included, but enjoy this much more! Boggle is more challenging than the regular board game because it doesn't allow you to get the same words as others. You can either point your Wii remote at the sensor bar to select letters, or point it away from the sensor bar and use the arrows in combination with the A button to select letters. We prefer to use the arrows, makes it much quicker! There are also different version of the same game to play, which makes it interesting and speeds up some of the games. For Boggle it has a word hunt version or one in which when you get a word it switches the first and last letter, which allows for even more words to be found! Yahtzee also has some fun versions, such as block out. You try and get points for things before your opponent and can even steal away if you score higher for a particular one than your opponent. The party version is fun too since it allows you to play short versions of the games you select. We love this game and play it all the time. Also, the more you play and the more you do you win things to decorate your 'room' with. Such as trophies, chairs, rugs, artwork, slippers, coat rack, posters, etc. We always enjoy seeing what we have won after accomplishing certain things, such as long word for Boggle, playing Boggle for over an hour at one time, or shaking the yahtzee dice for over 10 seconds. Just adds a bit of fun. If you don't like Mr. Potatohead, you can alway remove him. He does get a bit annoying sometimes. Again, we love this game and recommend it to everyone we know that loves to play board games.

I purchased Family Night 2 first but didn't particulary like "Picturica"and I never liked Jenga in the past, and Connect 4 reminds me of the game I hated the most growing up...Checkers. The "Operation" game was not like the original.

I decided to purchase "Family Game Night" one and I was not disappointed. These games are like the originals and my family and friends really enjoyed playing them.

Several of them had "customized" sections where you can add things and change game play.

"Battleship" plays just like the original minus the little plastic ships and with the Wii edition at least there are auditory and visuals when you sink the other player's ship!

"Sorry" was a bit different from the version I played as a kid. We used dice rather than cards to move around from "Base" to "Home" and the directions were on the board, but it is great to play on screen and no parts to lose!

"Sorry Sliders" is fun and uses the Wii remote and play seems like table "Shuffleboard.

"Yahtzee" was just like the the original and you don't have to look around for the dice!!!

Finally, what caused me to rate this game a "4" is yet ANOTHER version of ....Connect 4!!!!!! Those Hasbro guys seem to be obsessed with THAT game.

I had just glanced at a couple of reviews and the one kind of got to me. One parent stated, something like their kids ages six and eight played about 20 minutes and they had it!!! THAT is not the "Game's" fault. Many children have been brought up to never have learned "quiet time." Alot of them don't just want to play with dolls, unless they talk in two languages, Eat baby food and use real diapers, sing lots of songs, do addition and multiplication.........(you get my gist?) The have no wish ot concentrate on ANYTHING more than 10 minutes. I have a friend that is a teacher and she tells some very crazy things that happen in her classroom.

I would not hesitate to buy "Family Night 1." (provided that your kids don't throw the Wii controller through the TV screen if they lose the game!!!

My kids are 6 and 8 and were done after about 30 minutes of playing this game.

If your family enjoys these board games, then play the board games. Trying to play them on the Wii just doesn't work.

Not only did I have to explain the game rules (which is fine), but then I had to explain how to get it all done using the Wii remote. "Sorry" was particularly frustrating since it's a board game we already own. It would have been so much simpler, and faster, to just haul out "Sorry" and play it rather than try to re-explain how to play it on the Wii.

It's cute and looks like it's going to be a lot of fun, but it just isn't. My oldest was dying to play "Battleship." After about 1/3 through, she turned to me and said, "I want to be done."

"Me too," I said.

Hasbro's family game night is a fun twist on well loved board games and you don't have any pieces to lose!

Our favorite games were definately Battleship and Boggle and with an age range between 9 - 53 years in our household it was enjoyed by everyone. My husband and youngest daughter loved battleship and found the variations to the regular game a lot more fun.

The controls are easy to use for children and not complicated in any way. Boggle can get a little confusing when you have 4 people all trying to highlight letters but I think that added to the fun of it all.

Connect Four was a little boring, but it's not really a game I like to play much off the wii.

We couldn't figure out Sorry, but we were having so much fun with Boggle and Battleship we didn't really care and I'm sure if we bothered to read the booklet that came with the game we'd figure it out quickly enough.

Overall I'd give the game a 9 out of 10 simply for Battleship and Boggle.

I have found this game to be more fun than the board games, because there are more features and play modes than on the traditional board games.

After a seven hour marathon with a friend playing Yahtzee, we realized we were addicted. Fun twists on the Battleship like super weapons & Salvo (which lets you have a hit for every ship you have left on the board.) Connect 4 has Super Chips that have special options, and

Sliders is a fun stress reliever.

Also has fun competitive modes for parties, where you have to do little tasks (like roll a certain dice or shoot the pawn at a certain speed.)

I would highly recommend this game for adults & families.

In response to the reviewer who said their kids were bored after 30 minutes--that is the normal attention span for their age. Hopefully you were playing the games with them since 6 is a bit young to play the board versions and they would normally get frustrated for not having the cognitive skill set to fully play the games.

This game is great for family especially if they have younger children. No clean up and you don't have to worry about losing pieces or babies eating the pieces. My 3 year old loves to play it and it's safe to play while my twin 14 month olds are awake. Great game.

This game is alot of fun. I'm a mom of 5 girls ages 12-8 and they all enjoy playing this. Boggle is a great game for kids to play, challenging and fun while learning! Battleship is also alot of fun. Graphics could be a tad better instead of having Mr Potato head around all the time they could have did something else but all in all this is a great game with many options. No exercise involved though : )

This is a great game to play with your family. It's great fun just like the board games and it's also fun to play alone.

If you're a fan of any of these classics, this game is for you. The wife and I play Yahtzee and Battleship several times a week. She's not a gamer, but has taken to this game and really enjoys it. The different versions of the games (especially Battleship) are a blast. EA did a great job with this one.

It's an expected hazard of having children and wanting to play classic games. We have several game boxes in our closet that are unplayable because of missing pieces, not to mention the precious closet space they inhabit. That's never a problem with "Hasbro Family Game Night". You'll never lose the game pieces and the Wii interface is extremely simple for all members of the family.

Nothing fancy here, just the standards like Boggle, Battleship, Yahtze, Connect Four, and Sorry! It's a good mix of games with a variety of skill sets for the entire family.

The games play like the standard non-electronic games, but also incorporate a number of interesting variations of the standard games.

We also enjoy having Mr Potato Head serving as the Master-of-Ceremonies, though we wish he spoke more. He does not say much, but DOES celebrate or shake his head sadly depending on your performance.

The graphics are not remarkable, but are crisp, clean, and well-rendered. The user-interface is well-designed, with a few flaws here and there where you may trip over your fingers. This game does NOT represent an innovative use of the Wii controller, though it IS a nice touch to shake the Wii-mote to shake the dice cup. Overall, no major complaints and we are enjoying the game. Probably should be listed at a lower price than $36, but cheaper than buying each of the individual games. This game makes a good edition to your Wii library as a game that doesn't take videogame playing skill. If you can play, the physical versions of these games, you will have no problem with the electronic edition.

As with the original versions, these are more fun when played in a group, but they also work well in one-player mode. Highly Recommended!

This game is great, for playing alone or with friends. Whenever I get bored I pop it in and play Boggle or Connect Four!

My niece and nephew, who are [...], enjoy playing Connect 4, and my mother-in-law enjoys the Yatzee game. As for Sorry and Sliders it takes a while to get through the games but they are still fun to play. My favorite game of all is the Battleship, the graphics and creativity on this game makes it a lot of fun! Overall I think if you are looking for great family fun then this will be a huge hit.

This game is a blast. If you played board games when you were a kid, you will love the video game version. It can become addictive, however, and you may find yourself looking at the clock 2 hours later wondering where the time went! It is a great way to spend an evening with the family. I would highly recommend this game.
