This game is so fun! I had this game for the original NES...much more advanced and questions have yet to repeat.
I've always been a huge fan of the Family Feud tv show, so I had high
expectations for this game. I wasn't disappointed! The graphics are amazing,
they really did a superb job replicating the set...it's as if you were right
there! The questions are diverse and there's a ton of them, It gets quickly
addictive... I've been playing for hours and still haven't even passed the
6th family in single mode! I originally thought it would be difficult to
type in the answers with the Wii remote, but the A.I anticipates what you're
trying to type super quickly and offers you a bunch of words from which you
can choose from...so no time wasting there. I've only played single mode so
far but will definitely challenge my family over the Holidays! Great game.
My husband and I bought my parents a Wii for Christmas and decided to pick up this game as another option to play on Christmas night. With my brother, sister-in-law, parents, and my family divided into girls versus boys, it led to three games of excitement and cheering, bringing us to a new measure of (fun) sibling rivalry! It was requested several times after our initial night and will likely be in our rotation of games for couples' nights at our house as well. Great fun!
I bought this for my family for Christmas. I thought it would be fun to play on family game night. I wasn't disappointed. It is only a two player game, so we had to take turns, but it was still fun for all of us. We couldn't stop laughing at some of the funny answers we cam up with. I can tell that this is going to be played quite a bit. Even kids who can't spell very well can do well with this one, since they give you suggestions after you enter a few letters.
I must say I was a little sckeptical when I put this one in the Wii because we had just played the awful THE PRICE IS RIGHT (Wii version) - but pleasantly enough - this game was fun, sharp and really passed the time away quickly.
This is a very well put totgether game. Excellent graphics, familiar music and of course the excitment of the various quesitons and trivia that make this game so much fun to watch.
Complete with regular rounds, bonus rounds, double rounds, tripple rounds - and my personal favorite - the "Fast Round" - this game seems to cover all subjects and genres as far as trivia/survey's.
My only criticism is that the Characters are a little stock and stiff in the movements and appearance, but once you get used to your 'given' Avatar - the game is a great joy. They should have allow the game to use your own Mii's. Then it would have been perfect!
I would defiantely recommend this one! "...and the survey says...". Lorenz M. (4-10)
I like this game. It's fun and a lot like the game show you see on TV. The only thing I didn't like about the game was that you create only one player per team as the "leader" and then the game defaults the rest of your family. I was really hoping that you could customize each player on your team.
During the game, it takes some adjustment to type in your answer because you are using the Wii remote to do so by pointing at each letter on the screen and you only have so many seconds to get the answer in. The good news is that the game shows words on the screen that it thinks you are trying to spell and if you see it, then you can just point at the word. Overall, I do like the game and it's fun for our family to play together.
Excellent game! Great for GAME NIGHT! I am a big fan of family feud and i did like that everyone loved it! This game was a success at my game night! Now of course I think we can do better with the avatar selections and have more of variety but besides that I got my $'s worth.
Fun enough. As fun as you would expect the home version of family feud to be. Probably only fun with four or more people where you can have teams. The answer system sometimes reveals the answers to you in an indirect way. But, still a good time.
This is a great game to play alone or with friends and families. It opens the mind and talking with family members. It a breaking tool to talk. I am even writing this review on our WII game console. Just a note for use older players you have to DUMB YOURSELF DOWN to play this great game. You'll be at aw of some of the answers. This game comes highly suggested from me and my family. Buy it you will be glad you did.
Our family got a Wii for Christmas. We picked out several games, including Family Feud 2010, that were all rated "E" for everyone. We had a family competition, and one of the first fast money questions we got was "At what age did you stop believing in the tooth fairy." Two of the four of us playing were 6 and 8. Both believed in the Tooth Fairy until playing this game. The 6-year old hadn't even lost his first tooth. I think I was more upset than they were. Both looked and me and asked, "Why would we stop believing in the Tooth Fairy?" and "You mean there's no such thing as the Tooth Fairy?". My husband and I still love playing. Although I am very nervous to let the kids play. I am afraid that the Santa question may also be lurking somewhere in the game. I am kind of mad at the game, as I feel a question like this on a game rated "E" for everyone is a little unfair. So, if your kids are done believing in the Tooth Fairy, then you'll have a great time playing this game. But, if your kids still believe in the Tooth Fairy and you don't want to spoil it for them, I wouldn't let them play this ame.
I think perfectvelvet gave a great review, so, everything she said but I'd also like to add one thing; a warning if you will....
I have a 7 yr old son who LOVES this game and is too happy to play it for hours. The questions are challenging (at times) for an adult, but a clever child could do very well, also. My son gets many answers I don't even think of!
HOWEVER....one of the questions we ran across last night was, "Name an age children stop believing in the tooth fairy" Oh my gosh, my heart sank :-( He took it in stride and never said a thing after, but now I'm worried there's a Santa question too!! This is rated "E", but perhaps the creators don't yet have children?? I don't know but it was a HUGE disappointment for me.... The game is great but I just didn't see that coming.
Just beware!
This game was a blast itwas a great purchase it gives us family time and loads of fun at the same time , money well spent
this game is great my grandchildren and i play with it all of the time.
My husband and I play as a team against the computer and it's pretty fun. Some of the answers aren't always the best and if you pick a word/term that is similar to an answer it does not always give it to you (similar to what others have said in their reviews). I wouldn't recommend this for younger kids, as some of the categories could cause trouble (some are meant more for adults I think). However, overall this game is pretty fun.
Game arrived earlier than promised and in great shape. This game is a lot of fun and is something the whole family can play together. I have a 16 yr. old daughter and I wasn't sure she would even play it let alone enjoy it, but she does! I wanted something the entire family could all play and this is it. A lot of fun and well worth the price. It gets a little harder the futher along you play and lets you unlock wardrobe accessories as you win against other families. The graphics are pretty good and it doesn't make you wait long between matches. Over all, a great family game.
