My daughter is 4 and loves this game. It is easy enough for her to play and she loves the graphics of the princess. This is the best wii game we have found for her.

We have a 7 year old and a 4 year old. Both really enjoyed the game, but especially our 4 year old. We took our time exploring and using magic on stuff rather than just trying to finish and spent about 20-30 minutes on each of 12 chapters, usually only one chapter per session. Our youngest likes it so much that the game has inspired her to use her imagination to play with her princess dolls. She will play for an hour or more engrossed with her "Princess Wii" dolls (i.e. Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, and Bell) imagining them in situations inspired by the game.

The other thing we really liked about the game is that the princess is controlled using both the controller and the nunchuck. The controller controls the magic wand and the nunchunk controls where the princess goes. This was great for allowing both of our girls to play together at the same time taking turns on each controller. When our 4 year old played alone, my wife or I used one control. Our 7 year old could handle both controllers at the same time.

Lastly, the 4 main princesses (Bell is a mini game, mainly just an excuse to include Bell) each have 3 chapters with two princesses listing the difficultly as "Easy", one "Medium", and one "Hard". However, even for our 4 year old none of the games was really very hard. If you're looking for a game with great game play this is probably not for you, if you're looking for a game with a story to engross little girls who love princesses, then this game is perfect. Even the ending was done pretty well.

We bought this game for $19.99 and for what we paid, we're pleased with the purchase. Our daughter is 5 and wanted to play more games than Wii Sports or Wii Play, but really doesn't have the coordination and control to play the more advanced games with us. This game was a good compromise. She loves the fact that she got to design her own character to 'help' the princesses, choosing her physical features, clothes and jewelry. Visiting the princesses and 'talking' with them also gave a thrill, (Ariel & Jasmine are the 'Easy' levels, Cinderella, 'Medium', and Snow White, 'Hard'). She also enjoyed completing each chapter and being able to see how her progress evolved. We liked the fact that she didn't get frustrated with the game, and we could see her Wiimote skills improve as she progressed through the game.

Pros-

-You meet and help Ariel, Jasmine, Cinderella and Snow White, good amount of Princess interaction.

-Storyline is explained verbally, your child doesn't have to be a great reader to follow the story and directions.

-Using Wiimote as a magic wand

-Gem trails are used to show where to go next, and the helper pixie reminds you where you need to be heading to complete the next task.

-Mini-games in each chapter emphasize following directions, pattern recognition, and use of both nunchuck and Wiimote.

-After game is complete, you can go back and replay mini-games if desired.

Cons-

-Game is rather short. Playing and completing 1 chapter a day will finish the entire game in 2 weeks.

-Bogs are a little scary at first, and the head bad lady 'Zara' you meet after completing all 4 princesses could be scary for some children.

-Gems have no monetary value, it would have been nice to actually be able to spend them to accessorize your child's character.

-Rather slow loading times between scenes, could be frustrating for child.

-Once game has been completed, you unlock 1 mini-game with Belle, more games or another task to complete would have been better.

Our daughter is already asking to design another character and replay the game, so we consider the $19.99 well spent. Playing the game definitely helped with her hand-eye coordination and Wiimote control and she didn't notice many of the things we considered cons. I'd definitely recommend it as a good beginning game for a Disney Princess fan.

I have seen some of the reviews and the bottom line it is perfect for a 6 year old girl. I will take a long time for her to figure all the stages out unless the dad or mom is constantly helping :-)

This game was actually a gift for my lil sister. She said that she loved the game and beat it so I'm just going off her word. =P

My daughter has been intrigued by the Wii for quite some time now and we've not had many games that she can actually play. I was happy when she received this for her 3rd birthday. I was a little skeptical at first but really...she loves it. You play a princess and can change your outfit/color/hair etc. You play 3 little games for each princess and in the end open up the special game (Belle). I thought Belle's game was kind of short but all the other games were really good for her. She needed some help but not much. The best part is she can play it over and over again and not get bored...well she hasn't gotten bored yet anyways!

Obviously this game isn't for older kids but my 4 and 6 year old daughters love it. They have fun creating their princesses and doing magic with their wands. They've played through the entire game a couple of times now & still want to play it again. Bottom line, it was worth it because they have so much fun playing.

After looking for a wii game on Amazon for my 3.5yr old daughter I decided to go with Disney Princess. My daughter was extremely excited to play it and was not disappointed. She enjoyed choosing the outfit for the princess. My daughter is a little young to manage both controllers on her own, so I usually handle the movement and let her wave the wand and press buttons. I'm certain she'll be able to handle this on her own in the coming months and eventually move on to some of the harder settings within Disney Princess. The graphics are very nice. My only complaint is that at times the game gets bogged down with too much narrative. Sometimes I can sense that my daughter wants to skip over the storytelling and conversations and go right to the game playing. In any case, loves this game. I can recommend it for anyone with a child who's in the 'princess stage'.

My daughter is 4, and loves this game.

She gets to play all kinds of Princesses and it isn't too hard for her. I have to help her now and then, but she has fun with it.

I purchased this for my daughter's 4th birthday. We've had the Wii for 4 months, and she loves to play, but has trouble with many of the games. It's hard for her to use both hands. This game allowed me to do the movement with the nunchuck while letting her do the wand motions. She had trouble with that sometimes and needed help. We did the whole game together, and are now doing it 2 player, so she can learn to move the character also. Once we finish together, I suspect she'll be ready to go it alone. I wouldn't let my 6 year old son play it until dd and I finished once. He was quite jealous, but has now gotten through most of it also. This was great for her first Wii game.

bit challenging for young children under the age of 5 but entertaining for young princesses.

My daughter, age 6, loves this game. She can play it on her own. Occasionally she still needs help. Even her little brother, age 3 1/2 will watch her playing. He'll watch it like a tv show.

I bought this for my 3-1/2 yr old girl but it is a bit difficult for her. She is a little young for the Wii overall. My 6 yr old is able to play it and the younger one likes to watch and "help". Neat game.

My four year old daughter loves this game. it was easy for her to pick up how to play but hard enough to make her think to figure out the tricks and games, she plays this game every other night and and other than bowling it is her favorite.

My daughter received this game for her 4th birthday. This was her first ever video game for the Wii. She absolutely loves this game and wants to play it everyday. I have found it to be an excellent game for teaching her to maneuver her character in a virtual space and adapt to the Wii controller and nunchuck. The use of the controller as a magic wand was exceptionally clever and an addictive quality of the game for her. The Disney Princesses themes also add to her overall enjoyment. Given her current rate of progression through the stories (chapters) in the game, I imagine that we will complete the game in 6-ish hours of total game play, but I am not concerned that she then will be done with the game. Rather, I foresee her want to replay the game more on her own and less with parental assistance. I would definitely recommend this game to other parents with young newbie video game girls in their household.
