I bought this for my 47 year old son for Christmas and he loves the game and finds it challenging! He was really happy to get the game!
About two years ago my wife allowed me to get the Wii instead of the PS3 or Xbox 360 like I wanted. The first year or so was horrid. I didn't even play the thing at all. There were only so so games at best and I wanted a FPS. I waited and waited to buy the right game. I did not want to throw my money away on a game that would only be mildly amusing with terrible graphics. Thank God for this game! I have played it non stop since getting it. Here are my thoughts.
Single Player- Short but great. I had no problem going through it again and again. It plays well and there are secrets to be learned as you go. For instance, attacking from the front may work on easy, but finding a passage to get behind them works best on harder difficulties. I have read review about lag in the game and I have not experienced that once.
Multiplayer- Great! I have not stopped playing this. You get more points as you go which earns you better weapons. You have to prove yourself.
Pros- Sound, visuals for the Wii, replayability.
Cons- Visuals, length of singleplayer game, No voice or chat in multiplayer.
I always buy used games. I Never want to pay full price for games. Because most of the time it's not worth paying full price. You play them, beat them within a couple of days and you never really touch the game again..
Modern warfare reflex is the first game I have ever payed full price for. and so far I am very very happy I did. This game may be 2 years old but it is still amazing, and very addicting. I have played about 10 hours of the online multiplayer since i first got it yesterday. Yes that's embarassing to admit. but it's thanksgiving and i'm taking advantage of my time "off". haha
The graphics in this game are amazing for the Wii. There are some levels and parts of the game that are a bit ugly. Just don't expect amazing xbox or ps3 graphics. But they are still very nice for a Wii and they look alot better than the screenshots that amazon has up. and alot better than world at war(last years call of duty game)
What really makes this game adicting is the online multiplayer. It basically rewards you with new guns, game modes, weapon upgrades, perks and other things the more you play. There is just so much content on the online multiplayer that you'll want to play for hours and hours at a time. It's just too hard to get bored of it.
If you don't have internet connected on your wii. I would so don't buy this game. Games like this are more for multiplayer than anything. The main campaign missions wont take you long to beat. This game is mostly about online...If your a wii only owner and have always wanted to play modern warfare it's the perfect time to buy this game! There are always people online looking for a battle!..Or maybe you have the original Modern Warfare and are curious to see how it plays on the Wii. Let me just tell you THIS GAME IS AMAZING. Very much worth the money.
This Game has great graphics considering its for wii. Single player gameplay is good, but the online multiplayer is great. The controls are customizable and are much improved over other fps games.
I'll start by saying I have played about 4 hours of multiplayer and the first few missions in single player so far. I will also only talk about the wii specific stuff because Call of Duty 4 has already been positively reviewed a million times and this is the same game. Now to the review.
The Visual end of things is very good for a wii game, I would say better than the Conduit. Its not as pretty as the 360/PS3 version, but if that's your main concern, you shouldn't have bought a wii.
The controls can be customized many ways, so I think it would be hard to find something you didn't like, and in my opinion the wii zapper is the best option for fps control on a console.
Sound wise, I don't have a sound system or anything like that but it sounds good to me.
The online multiplayer is the best of its kind on wii. I have encountered little lag so far and the gameplay has been fast and smooth. It takes the fun of World at War for the wii and builds on it.
The only negative things I could say about reflex is that there is no voice chat or spiltscreen multiplayer, neither of which bother me.
I would recommend this game to any fps/action game fan. If you were a fan of World at War for the wii you will love this.
COD 4 modern warfare reflex is such a great game.
Its very cool how they use the modern day weapons we use today insted of ww2 weapons. When I first started playing this game I had trouble using the wii remote to aim Im more used to controlers and analog sticks.
I liked how you could change any kind of setting you want and even create your own controls.
The online is deep, adictive, and AMAZING!!!!
It is just like the online for xbox with all the same features.
The only thing the Wii lacks is graphics but for what I saw on the Wii was AMAZING GRAPHICS.
I would say this is the best FPS game for the wii right now, and I hope Modern Warefare 2 comes out for Wii.
9/10
This game rules. The game is just awesome. Intense fight scenes. Tons and tons of action. Lot of different weapons. I just finished it and I'm going to go play it again.
I bought this game for my youngest brother. He enjoyed it a lot. I had to send it to my home country and was tensed whether I will get it by time or not, But Amazon rocks as always, It came in time and I sent it to my brother. The game play is awesome. Give it a try. Its worth buying it.
This game is great. the online servers are great. Someone hacked the scoreboard and Nintendo fixed it via the internet.
The campaign mode is great too. When i got it it was in perfect condition. Everything is great about
Modern Warfare REFLEX is Great. I highly reccommend this game for anyone about over 14. It is very fun the highest reason for the M rating is blood and cursing. The cursing has been cut down a lot from Call of Duty World at War.
Gameplay is fantastic, I know graphics/visuals are not as superior on Wii, but when it comes to first-person shooters, nothing beats the Wii. Nothing. What could be better than pointing at the tv screen and taking out terrorists??
Not since I bought my Wii console years ago have I enjoyed playing games on it so much! This is by far the best game I have ever played on the Wii.
When I got this game I wasnt expecting it to have graphics like an xbox 360 or ps3 but on my 1080 hd tv this game was pretty close to it. Its also very addictive online. The campaign isnt as good as i expected but it's not terrible. Overall this is a must buy for the wii!!!!
Game was good they made it better for the wii i think but i finished the game to soon.
The last time I played a first person shooter I was a sophomore in college. I enjoyed the games back then, but they fell off the radar as I graduated. I purchased a Wii a year ago in an attempt to get back into gaming, but trying not to take it too serious (the reason for the Wii). My games to this point were SSB, Mario Kart, and Golf.
Anyways, the reason is to set this review up from a non FSP experienced person.
This game is so much fun! The controls take about 2 hours to get used to, and as the missions get harder you learn to use them more efficiently. I have only played the 1 player game at this point. Understand, the only thing you do in this game is shoot people and all you hear are guns shooting. But each mission introduces something new and you have to figure out how to beat the enemy. I only have a tube TV but the graphics look great. I am sure its worse than HD, but most of the time I don't have time to sit and stare at the graphics. I think surround sound and a wide screen would greatly enhance the experience.
This is game is a ton of fun, and I can see that it may become addicting.
Amazing game. I highly recommend it. Have put in about 20+ hours into it and am enjoying every minute.
The graphics look incredible, it's one of the sharpest Wii games out there. While the graphics are certainly not as sharp as those of the XBox360 or the PS3, they are very close.
The entire game in all its glory is there. All the modes, all the online functionality that made it the best FPS ever made are intact. And it's made much more enjoyable because of the controls. If you are used to dual analog then it may take some readjustments, but if you are used to the Wii Remote it's a piece of cake.
You're aiming the Remote just like a gun. It's simple, basic, and extremely satisfying.
This version will drive owners of the PS3 and XBox360 to anger. They will argue, "our graphics are obviously superior, so why are you wasting your time on this piece of junk?!"
Because playing games on the Wii uses more than just your mind and thumbs. It involves your body. Incorporating the body into videogames is what got it out of the realm of the nerd. The nerd only uses his head.
The body is where it's at. This version is much more than just a mind game. Feel it. Don't think it.
