I bought Band Hero for my kids age 6 and 8 since they were more familiar with the music than what is available on RockBand. Band Hero is completely compatible with Beatles RockBand which is what I really wanted. My kids love Beatles Rockband as well. After all, who wouldn't!! It was cheaper to by Band Hero and simply ad the Beatles RockBand disc for (...). Also I believe that RockBand sets do not work with the Band Hero Disc. If you have young kids, this is the way to go for family fun.

My husband and I bought this and have had so much fun with it. Our 2 toddlers love to dance while we play and sometimes our daughter will play the drums (she is 5); we set hers to beginner and let her go for it!

It has been a load of fun and is a great de-stresser! Our whole family LOVEs this game. We did not have any trouble setting up or getting connected.

The only problem with it is that we tend to get carried away and before you know it you've been playing for 2 hours!!!!!

I purchased this item as a gift for my wife. She loved it and has not been able to stop playing it. We get together with family and have a blast. The music selection is great. The business by amazon.com was great also. It was shipped and delivered when they said it would. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who likes guitar hero or rock band.

I have Rock Band so I bought the game first because Best Buy told me it would be compatible with the Rock Band instruments. Yes it was BUT the Rock Band drums does not have cymbals and the music was off! So off I went to Best Buy returned the Band Hero game and bought the bundle. Good News is that we have an extra guitar (Rock Band guitar) Bad News I had to buy a whole new set of instruments.

The game itself is alot of fun! Songs you know and love and its easy to jump in and out of the game.

This bundle gives you everything you need for three family members at a time to play guitar, drums and sing. You can also add an additional guitar and mic. Different levels of play are available so that the beginner can play at the same time as a more seasoned player. The drums are excellent quality. They are adjustable and well made. The guitar and mic also seem to be well made. We got this set about 6 weeks ago and we still use it nearly every day. Probably the best thing we've ever gotten for the Wii.

My son suggested that we buy the newer wii rock band game set with the beatles game. however, it has been impossible to find. so we bought the game alone and then bought this game set. the original idea was to have an electronic drum set for my husband, who used to play drums. but he isn't loving it much. and it is true that the guitar and drums don't sound like "real ones" most of the time. but I like it, prefer the guitar and the free jam is pretty cool. I can actually play the game if I practice a lot! but that's ok, because now I can play with my adult children, who love these games and also my granddaughter who loves it and fancies herself a rock star singer! So it is a good family and guest thing to have. we love having the wii. it truly is family entertainment overall. have the wii fit also. we are older, 55ish and grandparents.

the game is awesome, we have four kids under 8 yrs old, so lyrics, etc were a huge question on investing in any guitar hero type of game, they love playing it at the neighbors but we were skittish on the songs, guess we are lame. This game, Band Hero, pushed our decision to invest in this game because of the songs, no not all of them are great but 90% are good for younger kids. My guess is Disney will have their version out next???? Band Hero is played daily since purchased with NO regrets.

I bought this for my husband and kids who love any music aspect of the Wii. They are having a ton of fun with it. It's on the expensive side, but I'm glad I got it for them.

Got it for my granddaughter for her birthday...she loves it. Some of the songs are too mature for a 7 year old, so we also purchased a Disney game with songs for younger kids. Doing this provided her with an extra microphone so she could sing with her friends.

After much research between Rock Band, Guitar Hero World Tour, and Band Hero, we went with Band Hero. It was a good decision. The kids love it and it works fantastic. The Wii controllers fit perfectly into the guitar and the drum set. High quality construction, the instruments feel solid and not flimsy at all. It should provide years of use.

Great game. We loved it, but the red drum did not work. I am in the process now of filing a warranty claim and getting a replacement part. Disappointed that it all did not work for my kids at Christmas.

Ordered Band hero bundle for wii after reading many reviews Wednesday December 30, arrived the next day in the afternoon, just on time to be set up for our New's Eve's bash! Our boys and their friends (college age and up, and their spouses took to it on the run! Even our friends, who arrived later, age 50 + found many songs they could do.

I am not an electronic game person at all! All these years worth of electronic games since Atari down to Guitar hero, I've never condescended to any of them until now. I guess Farmville on Facebook made me more familiar to virtual play, that I even consented to try it when they needed a drummer, or a singer so the whole band could be complete, after they changed the difficulty level to beginner.

I found that participating is less intimidating because everyone's busy keeping up with their own play.

We have a multi disabled daughter who is bedridden, and I thought the music , which she loves, would be more pleasant for her to hear than typical game sounds, since she lays on the couch to be with everybody. She loves it when we're all together. I suspect that we'll be playing this game all day and into the night again, as we munch on the leftover party food we've had for our New Year's party.

I purchased this game bundle because I bought my husband a Beattles Rock Band game for Christmas and didn't realize it was only the game CD and that, in order to play it we needed all the instruments too!

So I came to read all the reviews on amazon.com and found out that the new Rock Band 2 set of drums was impossible to synch with the rest of the band, but that the Band Hero's set of drums are the best, quieter, and easy to synch, and that the selection of songs were more people friendly, it reaches a wider range of ages than the others, basically, everything in this bundle is compatible with the Beattles' rock Band, and even with other musical instruments from entirely different aps. My boys were very impressed with my research and right choice!

We haven't tried ordering new songs online yet to expand our repertoire.

Needless to say , we love it! So far Band hero songs are picked 90% times more than the Beattles which they were less familiar with, that surprised me.

Hopefully the developers will come up with 20s-60s songs also, how about Elvis songs.

I actually bought this for the Wii because it comes with the updated drum set. Beware if you are getting the other platforms because, at least initially, you will get the same set that was shipped with World Tour. When I set out to get it, I really didn't expect much from the set list because Hillary Duff is not really my thing, just wanted an extra guitar and the updated drums. I set it up to make sure everything was in working order and to test out the drum set. The drums work flawlessly and are 100 times improved over the Word Tour set that sometimes never work.

But, here's why I really came to write this review. I have a 6 year old daughter who heard the music playing and came out immediately as if Taylor Swift was the Pied Piper. I promptly handed her the guitar and showed her how to make a character. She went for the rocker and outfitted her in all pink of course. I set her up on the beginner level, which consists of just strumming at the right time with no color coding. She picked it up right away and thus a star was born. We worked through all of her favorites; Hillary Duff, everything by Taylor Swift, Evanescence, a little Janet and the Jackson 5 and a few others and she was hooked. I backed her up on drums and she was hitting 90-95% consistently. This repackaged Guitar Hero 5 is a stroke of genius if marketed appropriately. My daughter did not want to go to sleep. She never showed any interest in previous versions of Guitar Hero and she has been around others playing it; but this one has a hold of her like crack. I think I told her; "ok, last one", at least 10 times before I resorted to "ok really this time, last one".

Band Hero fits a niche that was previously unexplored; I think any child 4 to 12, boy or girl would enjoy this, and teenage girls will really like the look and feel of Band Hero. Basically, anyone who picks up the plastic guitar and starts tapping their foot to a recognizable song will be instantly hooked. This is a very enthusiastic thumbs up for Band Hero and a thumbs up to Taylor Swift for getting involved in this project. She's laughing all the way to the bank, and yes, the set ships with a microphone no one will ever have to share with Kanye!

I thought this game was a cross between rock band and guitar hero, that is not the case it is completely guitar hero which is much more difficult for younger kids to play. wish I would have gotten rock band bundle instead. Although I love how the drum sticks store inside the drums. great feature
