My Wife and ten year old daughter and I fight to get the control for this game! Very addictive.
My friend rented it and it was so fun I spent 2 to 3 hours on this game. I even beat talking to everyone for her. she says its hard but its not. This game is better than the first animal crossing for the gamecube. But I hate and love that you have to use real time. I hate about the game is that it does not go fast enough. But I love how you get to use real to do stuff thats hard.(theres nothing hard) If you have a Wii I would recomend buying this. But if you don't buy animal crossing for the DS, but don't buy any more you would not like it and return it the next day.(or the same day if you get far enough). I would recomend it to 4 to 10 year olds mabey 3 to 11 year olds but thats any body over 11 it would suck big thime!!!!!!
This is a fun game if you enjoy role playing in a cartoon-like setting. No rough reality hit here. City Folk are friendly and the town is tame. It's not fast, there's no fighting and frankly, there's no ending...it goes on and on and on! (Assuming you have a memory card installed.)
Simple to get started playing and interactive enough to hold your attention. It's a fun game for adults to play with their kids, and safe enough to leave the kids with the game without worrying about inappropriate content. (NOTE: Young readers may need some adult assistance with the game.)
An enjoyable addition to any Family-Friendly Wii game collection!
This game is truly wonderful. My kids love it and I do too. it addresses things that adults deal with like money management and the whole turnip thing reminds me so much of the stock market and how value rises and falls depending on the day. Great toy to help children learn life lessons on an extremely gentle way.
I bought this game for my Grandkids in AZ. My Daughter in Law tells me that they love it. Their ages are 7 yr (boy) and 5 yr (twin girls)
Pretty much this is real similar to the first couple of animal crossings out here. I LOVE the city feature though, and think thats a great improvement on the others. I also like how houses are randomly placed for this game. Its a good game rather you've played animal crossing or not, but if you got easily bored of the others, you might wanna stay away from this, since its not that diffrent.
this is a great game!! i enjoy it so much that i play it every day. the game is not just for kids. i'm over 30 and i love it! it's easy to play. i love the fact that you don't lose in the game.
..but I don't get it.
My 9-year old LOVES the game. She'll sit for hours (if left to her own) and play--exploring her little 'burb, or running into the city.
We don't have it hooked up to visit friends online, but that doesn't slow her down any.
Since this is paced to real life, with the change of the seasons, night to day, and certain holidays, it should keep her interested for quite some time.
This leaves me *empty*; no strategy, no skills...just wander around and do a few things.
I purchased this game based on some television reviews and I love it. It is the only game I have played since Christmas when I got my Wii. This is a great game.
My 8 year old got this game for Christmas and cannot put it down. He has a friend who also got it and they can't wait to connect and visit each others cities they have created.
This is a great game to play. It's fun and easy to play. You can also connect to you're friends cities and visit their cities after you've connected with you're friends. You can also buy fruit from you friends cities. The microphone is a great addition to this game. The microphone allows you to talk to you're friend while playing the game.
I purchased this game because I love Sims games and wanted to give this type a try. At first I thought, this might get old easy, but that doesn't seem to be the case. My family (yes even my husband) fights over the game and tries to be the 1st to purchase items from Tom's, or donate to the museum.
The town does celebrations or events often, the same week we started the game was Easter. Imagine my surprise when my son began playing the game and it was Bunny T in the town square with eggs hidden all over town for prizes and candy, he played for hours hunting eggs.
We have only played this game for a week, but I think this one is a real keeper. I have already sent a copy to my parents so we can visit and play together.
This is a pretty cool game for my eight year old daughter. She loves fishing, collecting fossils and catching bugs. Not to mention being able to create new fashion designs, decorate her house and travelling to the city to do some shopping!
good game but the mrs does not like it as well as the original animal crossing for the game cube
I have played both the original on Game Cube and the DS version of this game and I agree that this game is almost the same game as those. I am pretty disappointed that Nintendo did not change more for this game. That being said this is still a great game. I have played it every day for at least 30 minutes ever since it came out back in November.
Collecting fruit, bugs, fossils and fish have never been more fun.
The new online component for this game is also great. I love visiting our peoples towns.
