I bought this game, to destract him from the shooting games, and he plays it constantly. He loves it. He is 13 y.o. and asked for it for Christmas.
Bought this game for my 7 year old son. He didn't put it down for a whole day. He loves it and gives me status reports of how his team is doing. Great game for the PSP.
One of the more addicting parts of this game is the new playmaker mode, you can make plays that actually work and transfer them to the PS3. a lot of customizable routes and formations make for a great variety.
Franchise mode is still as good as the other maddens, great deepth and fun and addicting off season options to do. plus you can receive skill points for completing goals like get 5 TD's in the week's game. 1 skill point= 5 attribute points for a player of your choice's stats.
a very functional gameplay makes for exciting football action, this game is hard to put down i honestly like the psp version better than the PS3 because you can play it anywhere.
No pump fake, no throw away ball button, no Play Challenge is not cool. also a few glitches like sometimes at halftime when you're suppose to get the ball they do. sometimes you throw a ball the QB spins around the ball drops and it counts as in incomplete pass
also no create a player, however what i did is just used a generic rookie changed his name and used skill points to improve him.
PROS: Fast exciting gameplay, addictive playmaker mode, deep franchise, good graphics
CONS: No play challenge, no throw away button, some glitches can affect your drive, Chris Collinsworth commentary
Madden is fun again with Madden NFL 10.
Buy Madden if you play football video games. I have bought everyone since 93. The PSP version is really plain but hey it is a hand held.
It was nice to find exactly what I needed without searching the stores during the holiday. It's perfect, shipped promptly (quicker than scheduled) & I'm very happy with the purchase.
This is a great game. The graphics are so life-like, like watching a real college game. Since my kids got this game, they haven't left it except to go to the bathroom. They've had friends over, just to play. It's a winner, but warning: it's hard to get them away from the xbox.
The gameplay is solid, aside from a few glitches and missed penalty calls, and even though the graphics aren't on par with the Playstation 3 version (of course) they are still good. This is probably the best football game for the Playstation Portable, even better than NCAA Football 2010.
The madmen league has started and it's all because of the madden 10 game. It's a lotta fun
I don't know why but the freezing problem occurs quite often (also mentioned on one of the review sites as well) and it really annoys me.
For the power of the PSP both graphics and load times are laughable. If you have a PS3 to interface with or are a die hard Madden fan it may pacify you otherwise in my opinion this game is a waste of money.
This is the third madden game I've bought for the PSP and is by far my favorite. The biggest difference this year is the camera and ability to see all receivers and dbs on the field. It zooms in and out seamlessly (finally) and offers multiple presentation options. If you've been put off with madden games on psp in the past, give '10 a shot.
I pre-ordered Madden 10 for the PSP, and really enjoy playing it. I also bought a Light Magnifier for PSP (PlayStation Portable) just for the purpose of really seeing all the details while playing Madden 10. this game has almost everything that the PS3 version has, but has something special called the Superstar Challenge. Madden gives you a situation, for example New England is leading Miami by 10 with 2 minutes in the 4th quarter and you must make Ronnie Brown the Superstar to beat the Patriots. After you win that challenge, Madden 10 will give you the reverse situation of you being New England ahead by 10, while you must make Wes Welker the Superstar and having to maintain the lead. Usually, when I play Madden 10, I play the Superstar Challenge. MADDEN 10 FOR THE PSP DOESN'T DISAPPOINT!
