I am new to the PS3 world and needed to get another Dualshock 3 controller for my system. Before I threw down close to $[...] for an overpriced controller, this deal caught my eye. At the time I bought it, this packaged bundle actually cost a couple of dollars LESS than an "a la carte" black PS3 controller. After you toss in the PS3 Greatest Hit game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (costs about $[...] on its own), this is an unbelievably good deal. So what was once a total of $[...], now costs around $[...]. No brainer if you ask me. Even if you end up hating the game, it essentially only cost you the price of a fast food value meal. Thankfully, Drake's Fortune has received great reviews on Amazon for graphics and gameplay, so there must be some truth to the "Greatest Hit" distinction. Yes, the game is a couple of years old and the sequel (Uncharted 2: Among Thieves) has received even BETTER reviews than "Drake's Fortune", but if you're trying to expand your game collection like me, this is a steal.

One note about the PS3 controller--it does not come with a mini-USB connector cable like the controller that came with the PS3 console. This seems to be the case whenever you by an individual PS3 controller (not just this one that came in the bundle). At first this made me pretty mad that Sony was being a cheap punk, but I eventually calmed down because it really isn't that big of a deal to just switch out the cable depending on the controller that needs more juice. I was thinking about getting one of those charging stands anyways to help organize the controllers. Apparently these mini-USB cables are pretty common for a lot of electronic devices, so you might have a bunch around the house and not even know it.

All in all, this is an excellent deal. Despite Sony's best attempts to swindle me into buying an overpriced controller, I was able to stick it to them and get a free game out of it. At the time I wrote this review, the price had gone up a few dollars, but it's still a great deal if you need another controller and don't have this game in your collection. Or you could even give it away as a gift if you already have it...

The controller is the same controller that came with the ps3, except it doesn't come with a usb cable. The game is a lot of fun. Overall cost is basically the same as one controller. Cannot go wrong with this combo.

As a past gamer myself I must say these new generation games are visually spectacular. I am from the Atari and original NES generation of gaming and have let my skills diminish over the years. I try to play the new games with my son but he just mocks me and makes me look like a fool so I now leave the gaming to him. So with that in mind I am writing this review with his help and input (he is age 14 and a very experienced gamer).

This game was also the Game of the Year in 2007. A few years old yes but still very cool. Kids love it when their parents watch them play video games and this is perfect for that. I don't mind it because the gameplay is very realistic and the graphics are amazing.

It is the same as any other PS3 DualShock controller but better priced so what's not to like. It does come in a Not For Resale package so if you were trying to return it to a store for credit it won't work. I wasn't planning to do that but I know some people do that stuff. The controller did not come with a USB charger cable but I didn't care about that. I purchased a 10 and 15 foot USB cable from Amazon so we could play games on the furniture comfortably in case the controllers needed charging.

This was a great purchase and I am very happy I made it.

This is a great valuepak. The controller alone is usually around $60 dollars and for the same price you get a game too. The game is super fun to play. Both products were in brand new condition and work just fine. I hope that I see more of the same kind of thing in the future.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time, but this review is for the bundle itself. Basically if you need a new controller there's no reason not to grab this deal since it's the same price as a controller and you get a really great game on top of it.

This was an amazing deal. No way will they bring this back. Uncharted is a massively impressive game; graphics, fun factor, story, controls. Even for being an "older" game, it's one of the better displays of the PS3's capabilities.

Purchased this bundle because I'd originally passed on Drake's Fortune. After enjoying Uncharted 2 so much, I thought it would be worth a look. The bundle with the DualShock 3 controller was simply too good to pass up since I was using the "rumble free" controllers that came with my launch PS3.
