A bold statement, but very true in my opinion. I've been a gamer for 18 years and I cannot even begin to describe how much I enjoyed this game in comparison to all others I have played. It is beyond words.

I never thought gaming would ever reach this point in my lifetime. The sheer scale of everything this game entails is beyond anything I've ever seen. This game will set the bar for all future games and be remembered as one of the greatest or best action games ever created. If you don't own a PS3, get one and get this game.

The God of War series has been a "MUST PLAY" game on Sony's systems and God of War 3 lives up to every bit of the hype.

If your an avid action-platform gamer who is also a history buff that is into Greek mythology, then God of War 3 on the PlayStation 3 is the game for you. Featuring some of the most beautiful graphics, engaging music and sounds and smooth action gameplay; its a shame if you haven't picked this game up yet.

Some reviewers may say that the third game is even more brutal than the previous two but its the same Kratos seeking for vengeance that we've all expected. I have no problem with it.

For those uninitiated with the game, the game revolves around a general who gives up his life to become the greatest warrior that ever lived but the consequences were the loss of his family. Betrayed by the gods that bestowed unimaginable powers upon him, Kratos seeks revenge. The journey takes you battling through famous Greek gods and demigods such as Hercules, Hades, Poseidon, the Titans and Zeus.

The game flows wonderfully as action is constant and its just hard to put the controller down once you start to play. You will be in awe by the beautiful art on the screen, the immense scale of the levels and be drawn by the action that you'll be able to perform as Kratos.

By the way, I also recommend picking up God of War 1 and 2 as they are also available in HD remake for the PlayStation 3 at a great price.

Wow. All I can say is when you play this game... you will be blown away. It is by far the best 3D and high definition experience you will ever have with a video game. Graphics are the best of any game out there so far. Definitely buy it. Worth every penny. You can play it over and over again.

I played the Collection with GoW 1 & 2, and was impressed with the story and the content. Yeah, it was originally written for PS2, but still had a lot FUN value to it. Not to mention, I think the whole "swinging axes from chains attached to his wrists" is a pretty cool concept.

Ok, so this game GoW 3...I'm about halfway through, and it's awesome. Since it was created for the PS3, they were able to kick it up a few notches, and then some. The gameplay is just as fun, if not more so. I find my self hanging around areas a little longer, all the time, just to get a good look at the scenery!

Buy this game...and the GoW collection, if you have played the first two.

Look out Jack Bauer, Kratos is coming...!

God of War III combines the greatest elements of all the action and hack and slash games you have ever played. I thought of Uncharted 2 when I saw some of the camera techniques placed in the game, and if you played Uncharted, then you know why camera is such an important element in these games. GOW has mastered it. However, there are some places in the game where controls can be a little difficult because of the many moving elements around you. You may be on moving platform during a battle trying to move yourself and at awkward angles, but still this creates a feeling of intensity that I have never experienced before. The CGs and in-game graphics are stunning and are really a step up from past God of Wars. If your expectations are high for this game, then you should definitely expect them to be met and exceeded. This is definitely a must buy for anyone who enjoys the genre!

I'll start off by saying that this is one of the most awesome games that I have ever played. If you were a fan of the other God of War games then you will LOVE this one. First off there is the arsenal: different moves, abilities, and weapons. Second is the story: (no matter what happens in the series we are always on Kratos' side)when something happens to him, we all want revenge. Then there is the graphics. There was a major difference in the graphics. When the other games came out they were alright, but what caught most people's eyes were the cutscenes. In the second God of War there were regualar cutscenes and HD cutscenes (The HD ones were incredible). When playing God of War 3 I felt like I was watching a movie the whole time. I thought I was watching a cutscene when I started and was confused when I died. So what I'm was getting at is that the graphics are UNBELIEVABLE.

So to those of you who do have a PS3...GET GOD OF WAR 3!!! IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

It truly is an amazing game & a great showpiece for where the PS3 is right now. If you've been a longtime fan of this series (on PS2/PSP) like myself then there's no way you haven't played it yet...the rest of you, what are you waiting for? You want incredible gameplay,graphics,audio, level design, huge battles, etc...? It's all here.

Yes, there's a few plot holes & yes some liberties have been taken, but at the end of the day, this is just what the DR ordered & is easily a front runner for GOTY.

It's also the latest addition the the PS3's ever-growing/amazing line of exclusive titles, which helps further seperate it from the competition...GOW3, GOW Collection, Uncharted 1&2, Metal Gear Solid 4, inFamous, LittleBigPlanet, ModNationRacers, Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, 3D Dot Game Heroes, MAG, Resistance 1&2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1&2, Ratchet & Clank Future, Warhawk etc,etc,etc....

I can't really put to words of how good this game really is but it sure is epic! I would recommend this game 100% !!!

God of War III sets the standard for all games to come. The scale of this game is so massive that there were several instances where I was ignoring the enemies just looking at the surrounding scenery. The gameplay is typical GoW, with a few new mechanics that provide new ways to rip your enemies apart. The story is satisfying and interesting, really integrates the Greek mythology well. How Santa Monica created this masterpiece is beyond me, it is a real technological marvel. The gore has been stepped up and this is definitely not a game for young kids. If you own a PS3 then you need to own this game.

This game is epic. The graphics are incredible. You really need an HD set to appreciate its full splendor. The game play is top notch, it is so fluid and draws you in. The story is great and follows the original. They put a lot of effort into the voice casting. Malcolm Mcdowell and Rip Torn really add great depth to the game. Though I don't think they should have gone with Kevin Sorbo for Hercules. Sounds like a good idea but didn't quite play out IMO. Other than very minor issues the game is sure to be a certified classic and a must own for any gaming connoisseur.

Iv'e just bought it, haven't played it yet, just exited as hell right now. Can't wait to stop working to get to my house and play. I sorry i could not wait one week for amazon to send it to Guatemala so i spent more. Anyway, haven't been happier on this matter since MGS4 WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I'll review it later and update this review.

I haven't played much of the game but what Idid play so far I know I am going to enjoy it. The graphics are really good, the backgrounds and enemies are greatly detailed. Lots of blood and cool finishing moves. The controls are tight and very responsive, still no movable camera but still not as annoying as GOW1&2.My advice to anyone thinking about getting this game is stop thinking and get it. Stay away from GOW ripoffs like darksiders or dantes inferno, GOW3 is the ultimate gaming experience.
