First off, let me start by saying GOD OF WAR III is AWESOME!!!!! Truly a spectacular game!! But do not buy the Ultimate edition, unless you are OK with paying $40 extra for a plastic box that is really nice, and a book of art. The rest of the "extra content" can be downloaded. No music with the box just a code to download it. Not worth the extra money!! But amazing game

THIS GAME IS BEYOND AWESOME! I GOT THE GAME ON THE MIDNIGHT RELEASE AND PLAYED IT AS SOON AS I GOT HOME. THE GRAPHICS ARE NICE, THE COMBAT IS THE SAME AND SHOULD BE FAMILIAR TO ANY GOW FAN. My only gripe is that I really do like physical CDs instead of digital; however, I figured maybe I'll just make some CD covers with the artwork provided online, and burn the mp3s onto CD... there is so much good God of War artwork floating around from this game on the net. The Ultimate Edition is great, Pandora's Box is as great as expected... and even better because of the false bottom in which you can hide away a few of your games. I guess I've always been a fan of the artwork of God of War, and everything from the box that the UE came in to Pandora's Box, to the actual game itself is truly a work of art. I am glad I purchased it on Amazon because I got it for $89.99! The box was packed very well to where it couldn't shift during shipping at all. Overall very happy with this purchase... now time to kick A$$!!!

I am going to give the price 1 star. For that kind of money I better be able to open the box and create utter chaos on the planet. OK in all seriousness, Sony just re-released the original 2 PS2 games re-vamped for High Def on the PS3, even for $99.99 they should include those games in this "Ultimate" set. hell why not throw in a copy of the PSP version for kicks? Instead they "give us" a very cool looking box, downloadable content and a book.

Without the other games This "ultimate" set is worth 75 bucks tops.

All that being said, I seriously cannot wait to jump back into the God of War game. Will I spend the hundred bucks? Probably not.

I was so disappointed in myself when I missed on the preorder for the ultimate edition at every website or store...so I thought I might as well settle for the standard edition and get $10 off through amazon...and I am glad I did. Seeing all the reviews about the ultimate edition would've made me feel like a chump. The game is awesome and the $10 credit sweetened the deal.

God of War III: Ultimate Edition

The third installment in the series, this outing for our revenge-minded warrior, Kratos, sees the end of Gods (and more). Kratos' revenge against Zeus, born the events of God of War 2, has taken a turn toward the epic. The power of the Playstation 3 allowed the developers to give one of the most beautifully rendered experiences in a long time. The story, voice acting, and general animation brings forth feelings felt by the characters themselves. This title is definately not for anyone under 13, however, this choice is at the discretion of parents. Also, should a child play this game, and then try to act out scenes, only the parents can blame themselves.

God of War 3 is definitely one of the most epic games on the PS3 to date. Definitely a must buy for PS3 owners. Warning to parents though, God of War 3 is extremely gory and features extreme violence mostly against mythical creatures. Creature or not though, visuals depicting gushing entrails and torn medusa heads are quite frequent.

The collector's edition stuff is definitely good quality and worth the purchase. It seems that these are getting harder to find now though.

Best game ever on the ps3! only downside of this item is the pandoras box replica, perfectly sculpted but the material used was very cheap. As for the art book it was great! Overall 9/10.

As the title says, God of War 3 will probably win Game of the Year for 2010. The graphics, story, gameplay and everything is top notch. I love the music and I have all the songs downloaded on my PC, PS3 and PSP Go.

The Ultimate Edition is totally worth it for any HARDCORE GOW fan like myself. When I first saw it, I thought it was worth the asking price before I knew that it came with stuff other than the box. Now that I actually have it, it was definitely worth it. The documentary is GREAT (you get TWO copies on SD on HD) the soundtrack is awesome and most of the Blood and Metal EP rocks. "Oh but I have to download everything" to people that say that GET OVER IT. The BOX by itself was worth the extra $40. "Oh it's cheap plastic" Yes it's plastic, no it's not cheap. This entire set is a MUCH better value than the $90 Metal Gear Sold 4, and the $85 Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5. So, those came with DVD/BD instead of a download, that was the only advantage. If you are a real God of War fan and like Greek Mythology, buy the set, it's worth it. And don't get me started on the game, it's way to epic to describe.

due to a shipping error from gamestop i received my GoW3:UE on friday instead of on tuesday....i love it, the pandora's box is amazing and detailed to the T and the soundtrack is amazing as well....i love everything about this....but the gameplay by far is the most amazing i have played by far in the past year or so.
