First time playing both these games, I enjoyed them very much. GOW I is simply amazing with Pandora's temple. Very well done. GOW II is a great game but looses some of the luster that GOW I has. However, GOW II does prepare you for the highly anticipated GOWIII (which I cannot wait for). Either way, this is a steal. Two great, great games at a reasonable price. Enjoy.

I've played and beat both of these on PS2 and this is a HUGE improvement. Only complaint I have is on God Of War the short clips look like PS2 graphics where the game play and movies look amazing!

**I have not played this for the PS3** But like I said I have beat both games on the PS2 and both these games are AWESOME! I especially enjoyed God Of War 2, I applaud Sony & the developers for formatting this for the PS2 when the PS3 was out! I still think that GOW2 could go head up with a lot of early PS3 titles. Great story on GOW & GOW2, plus smooth gameplay. If you haven't played the first 2 Buy this bundle! *SPOILER ALERT* God of war 3 sucks.

I was a fan of God of War 1 and 2 when they were released for the PS2 a few years back. This newer version plays well on the PS3. The graphics and sound are very good, and trophies have been added to the game. There are also some bonuses for beating the games on certain levels, which include inside videos of the making of the original games and commentaries from the creators. If you were a fan of the PS2 games, this is definitely a must have. Playing the original games after playing this remastered version is like going back to Atari.

These 2 games for the PS2 where the only reason backwards compatibility was interesting to me from the PS3 console...now it just doesn't matter anymore!!!! KRATOS RULES!!!
I do have to say that GOW now looks like a beta of GOW2, wich almost looks like it was made for PS3...
All in all, great fun again...a welcome addition to any collection and a great appetizer to GOW3 as the main course.
If any developer is reading this, go for a Norse or an Egyptian epic game, in this style!!! It'll be fun!!!

This is review for people who have played a PS2 version. If you have never played this game, don't even think twice...just buy this disc. You will not regret it.
Big Pros:
1. High Definition
2. Trophy Support - I just love this part (i am a trophy addict!)
3. One less disc to manage
The trophy support helps...if u want the trophies, you really conquer the game...it is not just one pass...in order to enjoy any game, you need to be able to conclusively know how to beat it and the joy of doing that is plain bliss!
Cons:
Not many, except it does not have backward compatibility with PS2!

I am new to the GOW series, and I must say I am extremely happy with this game so far. I have almost beaten the first game, and I cant wait to play the second. Now im even jonsing for part three in march! There are a couple parts that are really frustrating, like some of the puzzles where you find yourself online getting hints. but overall I am really enjoying it and the graphics are top notch. I have never seen either game on a PS2 so for me this is it, but it looks great. Part 2 looks like it could have been made for the PS3! So I cant wait to see what these guys do with part 3! Anyway, both of these great games on one disc in HD is a super deal and one that any action gaming fan should not pass up, Especially if you have never played GOW before like me, then this is a great intro to the series! Have fun!!

I had never played god of war before so I borrowed my friends GOW for PS2 and I tried it for an hour and it was fun but the graphics we're 480i and stretched to fit my screen but I heard it was coming out on PS3. Am I glad I got it for PS3. The redone graphics in 720P look phenomenal. It looks almost like it was originally made for the PS3. Also, I'm a big fan of the trophy system and this game has trophies. This game is so much fun. I'm just about to finish GOW1. By the way, it's not just a slashfest but there are some puzzles too. Some of the puzzles are very challenging. There are a couple of frustratingly difficult points in the game(mainly balancing on rotating beams with blades spinning around), but I got past them. I'm gonna be a little sad when I beat GOW1 but then I'll get to start GOW2. 2 games in one. I give this a 10 out of 10 and I am very critical of games.

I remember when I first heard of God of War I wanted to see what was all the hype about. When I bought this collection I become a Huge fan of GOW and couldn't wait for part 3 to come out. The people who created this game are complete geniuses the puzzles and action are mind blowing and would have you hooked until the very end.

Though some of the graphics is not as clear as other games that are really for PS3, playing this game is thrilling in every stage, I must admit it is addicting to play. With this I can say this God of War Collection will be one of the best if not the best PS3 game of all time. I'm very excited to see what's on God of War 3.

God of War is a solid game but the sequel is just brilliant and having both games in 1 inexpensive package is a steal.

I tend to replay the PS2 copies of these games from time to time, and I've always enjoyed them. With the digitally remastered editions, being able to play them in 1080p is flatout jaw-dropping! I've never get tired of watching Kratos kick some serious ass in crystal clear HD!

I have had my PS3 now for almost 2 years and have played literally hundreds of games and this package is by far the most fun I have gotten out of a game. I had never played the originals on PS2 so they were new to me and I have to say I found these games to be absolutely AMAZING. If you have a PS3 and have never played GOW I/II this is a MUST BUY hands down. There is about 20-25 hours of game play for $40 plus the GOW III demo and thats just 1 playthrough. I cant wait for March 16, 2010 for GOW III. I cant believe I am saying this but this maybe the best game going on the PS3 its just that GREAT.
