Every single PS3 owner need to own this amazing game . I for one never played the first or second God of War , so this was a completely new franchise for me . I think that even people that are familiar with this franchise will love the update graphics . I found only one problem while playing this game and it was that they didnt upscale the in-game video's or cutscenes . But that didnt change the way the game played . Overall this game is a AAA game , A.K.A. a MUST OWN now go BUY IT NOWWW

It just doesn't get any better than this. The graphics aren't quite to par with this generations graphics, as they just kind of updated the original graphics from the PS2 to make it HD (and even then some of the cutscenes don't appear to have been updated at all). I just say that as a warning to those who can't enjoy a game if it doesn't look beautiful. However, the gameplay is wonderful. The campaigns are long and challenging, but tons of fun. I didn't get a chance to play these games back when I had my PS2, but I decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to play them before God of War III comes out (by the way, the demo for it that comes with this was amazing and looks BEAUTIFUL, assuming you like the God of War games). I highly recommend these games to anyone. At its price, it's an absolute must-buy if you have not played them before. I would have gladly paid $60 for this, perhaps even $80. There are two amazing complete games in one package. Worth every penny. This is definitely the best valued gaming purchase I ever made, next to The Orange Box. The God of War series has landed a place among my all-time favorite games.

I loved both of these games on the PS2. There isn't a huge difference in the PS3 upgrade in my opinion, but i'm also not using any HD technology here. Anyway, the games are still great, and they still have all the great extras that came with the originals. My PS2 has been messed up for years so it was wonderful to have these re-released.

I haven't played God of War before, but a friend recommended I get it for my PS3. Glad I purchased these, worth every penny and am looking forward to God of War III.

This game includes both God of War 1 and 2. The gameplay is remastered in HD, though the cutscenes have remained untouched. These are two must have titles for any game lover. Also includes many special features such as making of videos, tutorials and deleted levels. I hope this is the first of many ps2 re-packagings. Please make a Metal Gear Solid 3 blu ray next, Sony.

I don't need to say about how great this game is. Everyone who comes to this page already knows it. But I have to say this for the remaster done by Sony. Pure awesome. It is a tremendous job. The game looks much sharper compared to the PS2 version. It's worth it to own it if you have a PS3. It will make you play the entire game again.

Sony should probably redo some of its classic games this way. They might end up selling more than the new games coming on PS3. LOL.

I think that other developers should do the same with great games that are just only for PS2 and the newer PS3 can't play them, games like Hitman, Metal Gear, and so on.

This game is a lot of fun. Great graphics, great controls, and great story line.

The only thing I don't like is that there are a few places where the game is frustratingly difficult, even on the easiest setting. To me it's just not fun to have to spend days and days trying to get past one little thing (like a jump that has to be perfectly set up and timed or a monster that you just can't figure out how to kill).

I'm making more use of hints/walkthrough pages on the internet than I'd like, but otherwise I'd probably have given up.

I only got this game along with GOWIII ultimate edition because I sold my Xbox 360. It has to be one of the greatest trades I've done. This game is very gory, very violent and very bloody - and I like it. Unlike your typical game this has it all and it does it perfectly; A huge scale, big bosses, puzzles, story, lots of enemies and a decent variety of weapons that can be switched between in mid-combo. It also has a couple of useful spells. The graphics are very good, it could definitely challenge up to most titles released today. Anyways if you have 40 bucks to spare or just want a cheap game - get this, you won't regret it. I certainly cannot wait for god of war III.

The game is awsome and any fan of Kratos would agree. Graphics show great on the PS3. It is a definite must have if you enjoyed playing it on the PS2 console. Gives you a chance to catch up before God of War III comes out next year.
