The Dualshock 3 is an excellent replacement/additional controller for the included (on older models) PS3's SIXAXIS controller. And the rumble feature makes PS2 games feel more like they did on the old system, but doesn't add significant weight. I'm still a big fan of Sony controllers and have no regrets that I didn't have to try another brand. The battery charge seems to last just as long as on my old controller, et cetera; no surprises with this unit -- it's solid.

This is a sturdy controller made by Sony, and is the official controller. It is bluetooth, syncs instantly, and works with all games. Not all games will be dualshock vibration compatible, but the controller works with all games on the PS3.

When playing vibration intensive games like Call of Duty World at War, you will feel how great and powerful the vibration is. The constant gunfire will vibrate till your hands get numb.

Very happy with this item. I replaced the Sixaxis controllers and I always use the Dual Shock controller. Playing with the Dual Shock give me a better feel of the game's reality. And futher more what person wouldn't want more, rumble features plus motion tilting all in one package. NICE!

This is a nice little controller. I was on target when I thought they released the DualShock 3, Sony's next gen gamer's Excalibur. Same awesome design that fits oh so perfectly in my hand, same game enhancing vibration function as the DS2, and now with the sixaxis control feature & it's wireless! What more do I need to say about it? Sure there are other after market controllers out there for less money, but why? Who didn't cringe a bit when Sony unveiled the unsightly, boomerang controller with the PS3, oh so many years ago? So when it was revealed that the controller was going to be the same shape & function as the DualShock 2, I let out a huge sigh of relief. But my relief was tempered by the announcement that there was to be no 'shock' in the new wireless controller. "Oh well," I thought, "At least it still 'looks' like the dual shock." But then I heard that the reason for no 'shock' was that it wasn't compatible with the sixaxis feature. Now I'm no electronics engineer, but I know enough to know that there are ways to counter such incompatibilities.

There is no doubt that this is the best controller for Ps3. Sadly there are no alternatives at least good ones from other brands. Logitech's controllers wont work in racing games and the shock function is not availbale for all games. I sold the logitech controller and purchased this sony dual shock.
