It is a great game... Only problem is that my 15 year daughter is addicted to it... Might have to buy another copy so that not only she can play on her own, but perhaps her old dad could maybe kick her but in multiplayer-I think I am dreaming!

I played through the camapign of Modern warfare 1 and quiet honestly It was amazing. the online of It also was game changing. I am slightly disappointed when comparing the Second to the first. It too is great, but the Campaign seemed to loose what made it so great in the first game, and was slightly hard to follow. it did have Its strong Points, like returning characters and a difficult playthrough on on veteran.

The online is, well its COD. Continuing the run and gun style, its incredibly action packed, you need to get very good at playing online, or be very lucky, or its likely to not be fun.

Over all Its a good game worth renting, and buying if you have the money.

I'm not going to write a novel. Telling you how much fun Modern Warfare 2 really is. For the longest I consider Tribes to be my all time greatest shooter. Until I experienced the onslaught known as Warfare 2. Do yourself a favor and at least rent the game out.

Admittedly, I got a late start with COD MW2. I didn't begin playing it until around December so I'll tell you my experiences since then. Everyone can agree that while the single player mode is EPIC, it is definitely "short" by a lot of standards. While the storylines are a lot more ridiculous than the first COD MW, I thought it was much more exciting, challenging, and more fun to play this time around. If you're one of those people who are afraid to play online for fear of being dominated by "kids with voice changers", then do yourself a favor and simply rent the game and play the story mode one time through. The cost of admission for this game really is the multiplayer mode which is the DEFINITIVE experience............. if you're playing on XBOX 360. Anybody who's played the multiplayer mode on PS3 knows how it goes; laggy matches, problems connecting, and always getting dropped. This is because PSN and IW fail to get any "dedicated servers" to accommodate the enormous demand for this game. They hired a third party company to run the multiplayer mode on PS3, which has been a complete failure thus far. This is a direct contrast to the XBOX 360 experience as Microsoft runs their own servers A LA Xbox Live. While you have to pay to play on Xbox Live, it's definitely worth it as Microsoft seems to run a better ship when it comes to online play than PSN which is free and is lacking as a result. My advice is if you're a serious FPS multiplayer, your best bet is the XBOX 360 edition and definitely not the PS3. If you insist on playing with a PS3, like me, make sure you're pluged into a hard ethernet connection and NOT wireless, make sure you have adquate internet (High speed Cable preferably), and don't get your hopes up too much.

The game itself really is amazing; IW did a great job with the detail, graphics, attention to detail, voice acting, story, etc. Although I don't think you need me to tell you that, so let my review be mainly about the online play.

The times I have been able to play without fail, I had a BLAST.

SUMMARY:

1) The single player is epic, but short.

2) Buy this game only if you want to play Multiplayer

3) Remember the PS3 edition has NO dedicated servers and your online experience will suffer as a result

4) Hard ethernet connection + High Speed internet required for online play

5) The online play is A LOT better on XBOX 360, even though you must pay.

6) Do not buy the game thinking you'll be able to play online whenever you please, as you will undoubtedly run into problems with this edition.

7) Worth the money ONLY if you can get an adequate online experience as it is definitely worth the money when things are working flawlessly.

8) Don't get your hopes up that IW and PSN will fix things anytime soon.

the thermal scope is cool, it would help if the rifles weren't made to bounce around the screen. the graphics are exactly 720p quality, every map is a 2d box. This is aimed at elementary school kids; the graphics are on that level.

I bought this as a gift for my son and husband. I don't play it so I can't really rate it, but they say that it is the most amazing game. They have all of the series of Call of Duty, and by far this is their favorite.

I am not a big multi-player guy. (saying that means that I have actually never played multi-player on my computer games.)So this review is on the campaign mode of the great Call Of Duty 6 - MW2.

My computer spec. first of all are pretty decent which will effect the game play. Vista Ultimate, 1gb graphics card, 8gb RAM, 2.83ghz possessor and a 24" Widescreen 1920x1200 computer screen.

Okay one of the biggest points that this game has in my opinion over any other is its graphics. Razor sharp and highly detailed this looks almost like a real life, real time movie. so you will need good graphics/possessor/lot of RAM and at least 1920x1080 to take advantage of this games power. This game cost $60 for a reason and in my opinion it is worth it for the amount of work put in it. Oh and get some good speakers while you are at it because the amount and quality of the sound effects is astounding. They say 80 percent of of video is audio and they were not joking here. A quick note to fellow PC users. This game is powered by STEAM. Good news is that you don't need the DVD after installation to play. Bad news is (at least for me) if you have no internet connection none of your progress will be saved. But you can still play, so if you beat the whole game it does not really matter. VERY IMPORTANT! The game will freeze at the beginning. Go to the support website and it will tell you to update your sound and video graphics cards. I did so and it still froze on opening for about 40 seconds after which it played fine. Annoying yes, but live with it.

Okay that takes care of the look of the game. On to the actual campaign. Story wise it is complicated though not imposable to follow. It makes you pay attention to every detail in game play and out just to follow what is happening. Be patient because things do fit in place. After I played through the game 3 times there were something that had me confused. So I went on Wikipedia and it had a great summery on what happens. And i honestly understand everything now. But I recommend you play the game through first before running to the web for an answer.

The weapons on this game are AWESOME take every gun on MW1 and tons more, make them all ten times cooler and you've got Modern Warefare 2! You can have a tactical shield that is ten times more realistic and then the Counter Strike one. You can have a shot gun under your Assault Rifle which there are a lot of different ones. You can have duel pistols and submachine guns. You get a Glock 18! (for all you "gun people" out there you know what I am talking about. And there are loads and loads more!

Everything is more improved basically/ From the Night Vision to the Enemy AI. I read a lot of reviews saying that the Computer bots AI was so advanced and that it was so hard to play. And I got scared that it was too hard to play. Well it is defiantly hard and you will die a lot. But it is hard in a good way. There is always a way to win, you just need to work for it.

Not much else to say except this is one of the best games out there. Don't let the price scare you. Because this time you get what you pay for!

Just a quick message to all you gamers out there - this game is addicting so make sure to remember to take a few breaks and step outside. Sounds stupid I know, but you will enjoy it a lot more and it is healthy which is not a bad thing either.

First, let me start by saying I do not have any of the other games in the line of CoD. I do, however, have Resistance 2 as well as the full line of Battlefield games for PC. In addition, I would consider myself a casual gamer. I do enjoy a good game, but I won't let it consume my life and I could really care less if I may happen to have the lowest level out of all members on my team. =)

Now, for my simple review.

Pretty damn sweet. Awesome graphics, chilling sound and pretty good storyline.

- Special-Ops co-op:

One of the main things I look for in a game is the ability to play online with my friends in other parts of the country. Co-op is a muge plus for doing this. Thus far, co-op has been a lot of fun. Although MW2 appears to not have quite as much co-op missions stuff as Resistance 2, it is still a nice addition to the game.

- Multiplayer on-line:

Simply, amazing. Lot's of extravagant maps with a bunch of different options on how you can play them. This will be the lasting power to the game with the endless action and enjoyment it brings to gamers from all corners.

If you are already reading this review, I am sure you have heard about this game and how great the single player campaign and it's the online experience. Thus there is no need for me to wave about these things. Instead, I am going to talk about a few things this game can improve for the next MW.

1. The campaign is too short. Could be longer for the next one.

2. Offer campaign co-op, LAN, or offline.

3. Could be 32 players online like KZ2.

4. I believe this game hits the limits for the 360. Hope it could be better MW3 for the ps3 version.

5. More unlockables or perks for co-ops and campaign. Like unlock gallery mode to check out character models, stage models, wireframes, art works, interviews etc in real time, the making of, etc. Sort of like MGS Documentary.

6. An easier way to invite party or friend on the PS3 version.

7. Game too linear. Could offer branch like game play with different characters/choices that lead to multiple endings, altered missions, etc.

8. Add euphoria engine in conjunction of Havok and pre-animation for even more realistic character physic. Like GTA4. Characters look like they are flowing when they run and running stairs.

9. Allow player to customized their control.

10. Offer third person mode for all games as option.

11. Offer keyboard and mouse support for specify lobbys (keyboard only game for online)

12. Offer downloadable side story campaigns and special co-op mission packages.

13. Make use of the sixaxis the of the PS3 version.

Outside of Rock Band 2, this is my first PS3 game in a year; so, my real first game actually. Not a gamer but I appreciate this one and the details they added. A sniper scope gives of a glare just before you get shot at and that's a nice touch. You leave tracks in the snow. The environment is interactive an fun and really my main reason for enjoying the game. It all looks authentic and the flow of the game is rapid. I wish it were longer and am looking forward to part three.

It's a casual and fun game with little depth. I would recommend it.
