I couldn't put it down... played thru in one 7hr sitting on second-hardest setting, definitely a new level of game craft. a top notch game, very well put-together and fun. Still, short. Not an epic length singleplayer adventure. Moves quickly, a little too quickly sometimes but it adds somewhat to the feeling of crazy urgency and chaos.

Plays solid. looks incredible. The graphics are great and run nicely on my 8800GT (1600x900 4xAA.

For a game that plays on a track it gave an open feel and an exciting pace. It would have been nice if it were a bit more open ended and you had more mission briefing, if you weren't rushed and dragged along the whole time, and could feel like you knew your skill and mission more, and get to look at the beautiful artwork of the game itself, and if the guns had more thump, and interactive environments would be nice, buildings blowing up etc, etc. But it was still fun. The vehicles are fun. The story was a bit ludicrous and felt very propaganda but still kinda worked. I felt like I was in a sci-fi movie, and it's been a long time since a game made me feel engaged like I was in it.

There's a lot of sickening violence. Very sick. I mean disturbing. It is after all about total war.

No dedicated servers sucks, but I got in games quick and it was fun to check out. I prefer dedicated servers though and I'm disappointed about that. So I wouldn't expect this game to spawn a legacy of mods or last 4 years. Modders and community do not rejoice. But hey focus your inspiration and make something better that does the things hardcore gamers love. In the meantime IW will reach into deep pockets and be out with another blockbuster for the masses in short order. They did a tight job.

People who scream and whine and give 1 star because a game doesn't give them exactly what they want should read up on the game development industry and go make a game of their own. Despite what this game doesn't do it is still a top-notch production. It could be even better and do a lot of things differently, but if you appreciate it for what it is you will have a good time. To bad it's so pricey. That's my biggest gripe. Games are as big or bigger than movies now and cost at least as much to produce, but hell a theater seat is $10 and a Blu-ray only costs $20. Now that they got Steam all worked out the used games are not too viable. Oh well, they figured out the business model pretty well.

Now, go forth, a new generation of modders and hackers and make a game that incorporates all the best features of every favorite game ever designed and looks real to life. GO FORTH!

The multiplayer is awesome. At first, it's overwhelming because there are way too many bonuses and upgrades and challenges and titles and emblems and killstreaks and ranks and guns and... Eventually, it makes it more fun. The co-op is a lot of fun. The single player is confusing at times and most of the time I have no idea where I'm getting shot at from or what my objective is. It's hard (for me at least) to simultaneously listen to the commands (which are hard to make out but I don't have time to read the captions) from the computer characters and play the game.

This game is much fun, especially online. I really can't say i have played a better multi player gunning type of game (including halo). I do not know what is missing but i feel like something is. The campaign was sort of short and uneventful i must say. One recommendation is i bought the sony Bluetooth headset for the ps3 to aid in online gaming and it really does make a huge difference. It adds quite a bit of value especially when i am playing my friends in different states and cities. I give it a five because i can't say anything is really missing, just that i for some reason was expecting something more. Just go buy it.

This is the best FSP out there. Haven't played the story mode much but who really buys these games for that anyways? The best part is the expanded perks and killstreaks. I can't wait for the new map packs to come out. I have to say though, I can't for the life of me figure out why they changed the way you invite friends in your lobby, it's such a pain. COD 4 had that right, they shouldn't have messed with it. With that being said, if you don't have this game yet you need to run out an get it today.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is an amazing game and a well-deserved sequel to COD4. The Campaign is very in-depth and immerses you in combat.

Campaign: The Campaign picks up where Call of Duty 4 left off. The ultra nationalists and the Spetsnaz are still in power, and the OpFor are plentiful in the desert battles. But there have been three new teams added to the game: TF-141 (Task Force 141, SAS), the Rangers (U.S. Military), and the Favela Gang in the South American missions.

Spec Ops: Spec Ops mode is a new game mode in which you can play various special missions. There is even the Chernobyl mission from COD4 in Spec Ops mode. But this time, it's been changed a bit. There are categories for each set of missions, and you need stars to unlock each set. Completing a mission on regular gives you one star, on hardened: two stars, and on veteran (the hardest): 3 stars. Spec Ops mode can be played on single-player, split-screen, or online.

Multiplayer: The biggest feature of Modern Warfare 2 is multiplayer. Many new weapons and perks have been added. There's also a lot more rewards for various things such as: 300 kills with sleight of hand etc. Also, you can have machine pistols, shotguns, and launchers for a secondary weapon, instead of just a pistol. And, if you complete challenges for a weapon, you can eventually have two attachments on it with the Bling perk. Such as a red dot sight and a silencer. For your PSN ID and rank, you can choose a picture and an emblem that will show up when you select it. Other players can also see your emblem. A good example of this feature is mine, my picture is the U.S. Flag and my emblem is a pistol. In Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer, there are now 70 ranks instead of COD4: 55 and W@W: 65. An extremely great feature is the multiplayer split-screen. You can now rank up offline and create custom classes offline. Offline ranks are separate from online ranks.

What I like most about Modern Warfare 2 is the new sound effects, and the way that bullets zip past you. This creates a heightened sense of realism.

Modern Warfare 2 deserves 5/5 stars. I highly recommend it.

This game is great for those who loved the first COD4. It features many new weapons and achievements and is fun to play co-op offline and online with friends. This game is a must have for any PS3 owner.

This is really a full new game that has refined and made modern warfare even better than the first. New perks, weapons and the maps are much more fair. Be advised that the best part of this game is online multiplayer. The single player is short but awesome and action packed. Some people think the story has gone too over the top to be believable, but remember this is a video game. There is more action in this than any movie i have ever seen. Uncharted, while great, felt like a movie. This is better than a movie in my opinion.

The new special ops mode allows you to experience amazing thrill on the campaign with other friends 2-4 people and it's challenging and many objectives to complete. The competitive online took 2 years to finish and it's better than ever before. Your missions take you around the world to a number of exotic locations the action is smooth and fun to go through The aggressive enemy AI will keep you active and success is hard-earned and satisfying. The campaign is pretty short and takes 5 hours to complete. A dramatic prison rescue, a marine infiltration, and a snow mobile chase makes the campaign fun to finish. The action is much faster and deadlier and there is many different guns, perks and equipments to help you as you level.
