Im going to be straight and to the point. This would have made a great game for $39.99, cause lets face it... most of the time you get what you pay for! I Completed the single player campaign in less than 5 1/2 hours, but it didn't seem worth even beating it. The storyline is very shady and choppy. I was honestly in complete dis-belief when i saw the credits roll. I think my actually words were "what the f***, thats it? What happened the the other half of the game?". So i google he game and sure as heck everyone else seems to be at the same stance as me. You pay $60.00+ and get a $40.00 game. Now im sure people are saying "well what about the online part of the game?". what about it? i paid the same price for call of duty modern warfare 1 and world at war, both great games, both full games... so why not just make another full game? This game should have been promoted by its online play and not the story mode and it would make more sense.

was always a big fan of COD world at war but with this game on the shelves it'll be hard to ever put it back in the PS3. from the graphics to the gameplay this game kicks some serious ass. should be no vacillation on anybodies part other than what credit card your paying with!!!

Single most perfect FPS experiance one can enjoy. The single player campaign builds off the last installment with lots of twist and some suprises that might upset you but hey is darn good. Multiplayer is even better than the first CODMW game. Just about every item has unlocks, upgrades, whatever the difference is good. The only drawback is having to reach 70 before prestige. It can take a while.

Let me start off by saying this is the first Call of Duty game I have ever purchased or played to any real extent. The only other CoD game I played was one special op on Modern Warfare 1 at a friends house for about 5 minutes. I thought it was OK.

Anyway, I bought this game on a spur of the moment when I saw my friend so hyped up about it.

Normally, I'm not a fan of first person shooter console games unless the campaign has the option for split-screen co-op (so I can invite a friend over and both of us can plow through it guns blazing). Thus, my other two shooting games are Army of Two and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Also, I'm not a big online player, and have yet to play this game online, so I won't comment on that.

So I was a bit worried I wouldn't like this game when I got it. I got it and performed the initial calibration and went to bed since it was late. I woke up the next morning and started playing the campaign to see what it was all about. Let's just say I was so hooked I finished the campaign same day (though, that is in a way, a con - will get to that in a bit). It was just a blast and I wanted to play more.

People can break the game down to each particle and scrutinize it, finding all the weak points, but I think that is dumb. What matters is if you have fun when playing the game, and I had an absolute blast. My biggest cons are that the campaign wasn't co-op (but the spec-ops are, and I have yet to do those), and that the campaign was far too short, and a little confusing. If you really do get into it, it's a pretty bad plot, but I honestly didn't care. It was reason enough for me to run around and shoot stuff.

This game has actually got me hooked on one player campaigns, that I already ordered Resistance 2 (which I didn't order before because of the non-existent split screen co-op), and I plan to buy Modern Warfare 1 to play the campaign.

People might say that you play the campaign once and never again, but I feel that playing it again in a harder difficulty can be fun as well, cause you know what you are doing now, but it isn't easy since the difficulty is harder. Also, you pick up on more things in the plot that you didn't pick up on the first time.

So all in all, VERY VERY fun game. 5 stars for how much fun, but lost a star on the overall due to the short campaign. I didn't dock for lack of split-screen co-op since I knew it didn't have it before I bought it, and generally CoD games don't seem to have that feature (I do plan to get World at War though, since it DOES have this feature).

For $60, I'd say this game is a little pricey unless you plan to really get use out of it playing online, but with Amazon's special right now, I basically paid $40, and I felt it was worth it even though I don't plan to play much online.

I was planning to buy MAG instead of this game. But after seeing the trailers of both games I saw that the graphics that this game had were exceptional. I did not play the original MW, but I do have WAW. And this game I can honestly say is one of the best games I have ever played. The graphics are a 9-9.5 out of 10. The single player campaign is an 8-9(your traditional campaign). But the multiplayer is surely a 9.5-10 and truly makes this game one of the best. Not having played the original I can't relate to the feeling of unsatifaction that many COD:MW players seem to be getting. All in all, this game is definitely worth buying, whether for online play or for the single player campaign. Final Score: 9.83 out of 10.(Or 4.5+ stars)

Awesome game. Just got "in" the game 2 weeks ago. I am way behind everyone in online play. But it's still fun. PS3 server has had some issues and the matching is a little tough for beginners. But I guess most played the previous version.

But prob the best online game I've ever played.

I bought this for my husband. He thought the game played too fast, but was he wrong. He had only played half of it. The challenges of rank are fantastic. Hours and hours of fun. He would rate it a ten!

This game was definitely designed for great multiplayer action (with a "short" single player tossed in for fun). The Co-Op missions are a lot of fun (and I like the fact that you can play multiplayer on the same unit). There is some language though. All in all, a great fun multiplayer game.

You can read hundreds of reviews that detail every facet of this game, but I just wanted to talk up the single player a bit. I don't play games online too much because I don't game too often and can't hang with people who do. Why would you want this game if you're not playing online multiplayer? The single player is underrated. Yes, it's short, and the story doesn't match up to reality. However, the gameplay, graphics, and sound add up to create great intensity. The icing on the cake is special ops. These missions are essentially challenges based on the single player campaign, but you get to play with a buddy in split screen or online. It's a blast to have a buddy over and just pick up and play some fun and challenging missions. Modern Warfare 2 might not be as great of a offline player experience as Uncharted 2, Grand Theft Auto 4, Bioshock, or Metal Gear Solid 4, but it's more than worth the price of admission (along with the special ops missions).

The game is great. The multiplayer and spec ops will keep you playing. It's a good buy, but as for if it is better then CoD4 you'd have to find out yourself.

Pretty good game overall. Excellent graphics and very adictive. This is a sequel to Modern Warfare and a much better game, it's also my second because I have 2 playstations and planing to by my third so I'll be buying yet another one. High Def games is to be the future for now and I believe the ony thing left will be real 3D. I can't wait for that.

This game is a perfect modern war game. There is allot to do in this game. You can play by yourself in the campaign or in an extra part of the game called special ops. Then, like most people, you can play multi-player mode and verse up to 18 people at a time or make a private match and go 1 on 1. Also you can play campaign online and special ops. There are many realistic equipment and guns in this game. Also there is a wide variety or different kinds of perks and weapon attachment. This game is the best game so far. Especially with full HD and HDMI use.
