First off i'm writing mostly about the goggles. I have to say I was very skeptical about them and didnt expect much, I do this so I won't get let down but when I turned them on. It was amazing, totally worth the money at 150, I don't know about now since their being sold for 100 dollars more but they are really cool. You can see in abosolute darkness, I was amazed. The game itself is, well come on, COD 4 the II. I like games that deliver what the hype is promising. And yes I even stayed up till midnight to get the game for my kid brother on his x-box. Happy Birthday Adrian. P.s. The goggles need 5 double A batteries to work, but it works like no other.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sets the bar on how FPS games should be done. I have to take one star off for the lack of multiplayer co-op in the campaign mode/Story mode. This is something that should be default in FPS games at this time.
The Night Vision Goggles, as expected, would be more like a kid's toy than a collector's item. If I were now to choose which version of the game I would get - I'd probably just go for the regular edition. I won't even go for the Hardened edition since the bonus items hardly has any value, at least now that I've seen them. The art book is not so impressive and the COD classic game is something that I'll probably play for a couple of minutes and then get tired of. I think a CD of the Original Soundtrack would've been a better bonus item.

Okay, so game wise it's a hit. Great game. Right to the point.
I got the prestige edition which comes with the hardened edition of the game, which too is great. A code for COD Classic is a sweet deal!

I put batteries in them about 5 days after I actually opened the box, and when powered on the screen is all white and flickers green. I suppose I could send it in to the mfg, but I don't want a replacement, I want a damn refund and just buy the hardened ed. So I'm out >[...] but that's life.

This is one of the best online shooting game i have ever played in my life!!! The graphic and sound it just top of the line. However i rate this 4/5 because the single player was short and there is not enough variety of weapons, other wise it would be 5/5!

The product was sent late, I requested a partial refund; just a small amount taken from the shipping charge since his obligation wasn't completely fulfilled but I received no answer. Not an honest merchant. He could've at least wrote back and said he disagreed with me but nothing.

Gameplay is more exciting than COD4MW. Weapon list is much more expansive and allows the player to be creative in how they attack the enemy. The plot is much deeper and thought provoking. An absolute blast to play. NVGs are fun. Obviously they are not military grade, but they are about as cheap as you can get for actual night vision.

The night vision really works. It's a little diorenting because your depth perception is faulty while wearing it. The darker it is the better the goggles work. It has stealth mode and long range mode as well as black and white mode or green mode. Stealth mode is really short range but the goggles don't give off any light. In long range mode the goggles give off a little light but you can see much farther. I bought it just for the goggles and I am extreamly satisfied with them.

I always tell my friends this is the best game I have ever bought. First the goggles are absolutely awesome,there are two view option colors, green or white, both of which give an extraordinary view at night. If you need more brightness just move the "infra-red" light switch and now you have a perfect view!!! The game totally worth it, it is expensive, I agree with that :> the goggles are not the same quality you will get for a grand or 1500, however it is collectors edition you should get something really valuable in this versions, and personally I think this is one of those items you would say it would last for ever and you will never get bored with it.
The game, specially the on-line section is... definitely something to play!
You should see it for urself!

I'm not knocking the game at all. Just looking at the price for the Prestige Editions though...that makes no sense.
The GameStops and other locations that are selling it for it's retail of $149. Anything over that, isn't worth it in my opinion. Amazon might not have them, but other locations do. We are in a recession. Even if we weren't, that's gas, groceries and other.
I'll just add that the single player is a little short, but great overall experience. The special ops with a friend and multiplayer online is what makes this the best FPS to date.

So let's get into my biggest gripe. The so-called night googles you get with the prestige package are horrible. I think they are broken because I can only see in green. What's up with that! Not worth the extra bones if you ask me.
The game itself is laughable at best. the best FPS on the market. Sounds like some BS to me. Collison detection is pathetic, level designs were created by a 3 year old, and the frame rate would be better in 720. MAN, I hate those goggles.
