I just picked up this game after playing ut2003 to death and it's a whole new ball game.The graphics are much better and game play so smooth.lots more servers also couldn't be more satisfied with the game and im glad amozon carries a huge selection of older and newer games.

I bought this as required material in the Game Design course through the Art Institute. Included on the game disc is a copy of Unreal Editor, which allows you to create your own levels. There are a ton of online tutorials available (just google it) and it is VERY easy to work with - with the exception of scale. It works in increments of tens, but there is no 'default' measuring system. The first time I tried to create a level, it was 1/10th the scale I needed, lol.

Easy but advanced game, usefull on puters that have older video cards. There are many various options; and many battle fields. Also, more battle field are available as free downloads. I have played this for four years, about once a day; since I can handle a mouse better than the controllers on the new video game players. This shooter game has something for everyone.

One of the best purchases I've made this year. The game has many different modes of play, stunning graphics, a great soundtrack, and so much more. A highly recommended purchase for anyone that enjoys first person shooters such as Quake or Doom.

I love FPS's and played UT [origional] for years because the graphics engine was kind to my moderate workhorse. So I took the plundge with UT 2004 and WOW was I soooo pleased. Again, the graphics are awsome and easy on my updated machine. The game playis improved with more maps, more toys, and fun games [CTF !]. I spent $10 for a new dvd of the game and my friends are amazed . . . soooo much game for so little. If you don't buy this game, you're missing out. Cheers

I believe that this may be one of the most entertaining game I have ever played.

I'll try to break it down.

Graphics; 9.5: The graphics are outstanding, plain and simple. The game is 3 to 4 years old, so you can expect a bit of age, but that may also be a pro, as it's easier to run the game on Ultra graphics.

Sound; 9.5: Many say the announcer is annoying, but I say it is 2 things. First it adds a level to the gameplay, and second it can be hilarious. (the announcers voice can be changed to such sound types as "Sexy Female")

Gameplay; 10: Wow! The game can be classified as a 'hack-and-slash' but it doesn't take away from the expierence. A good selection of well-balanced vehicles help along the slow bits. An amazing range of original weaponry further enhances the gamplay.

Storyline; 4.5: This game is certainly not for those who wish for a deep, complex story behind the game. I can sum it up right now. In the future, aliens take over the earth and throw the humans into a universal gladiator ring, where they fight to the death with other prisoners from across the universe. Storyline in one sentence. =3

Overall; 9.9: I love this game. It's a great game for multiplayer, and you could play it by yourself for hours too. Way worth the price.

This game is excellent...My pc is an older one and supports a 1.8 ghz intel/celeron processsor which isnt the greatest by any means ,however this game runs great on my system!!!! I would recommend this game for anyone who loves intense multiplayer action!!! You will need a good internet connection though , I have T1 and I have a great gaming expirence... this is defintely a must for those out there with older systems who want a good multiplayer death match!!!

For those of us who sneer at the Call of Duty fanboys with their authentic Colt MK-DRT-OMGWTFBBQ rifles, this is the perfect game to keep you entertained for hours on end. You might even lose the life you worked so hard to get. Sad.

This game comes on six CDs, and in that way shows you the system requirements in two words: Anything Reasonable. At 1024 lines fullscreen, I got the game to say: "Holy ****" when I set up my graphics configuration. The fog distance option is great for improving performance at no cost to visuals when you are playing indoor maps, but turn the slider to 1.00 when playing outside. For those of us with 1050-line fullscreens, the game doesn't support that resolution. It loves Vista and 7, and will work beautifully on the DX10 OSes. It also supports everything newer than 95, a great boon to our P4@1800s we have lying around. The game was vastly improved over UT2k3, which has empty servers and poor maps :(. In contrast, I can get a team together anyday.

In conclusion, this game is FREAKING SWEET.

Unreal Tournament on full graphics was ahead of its time of release, it took two years for the regular pc user to be able to fully experience the depth and quality that this game can truly provide.

Futuristic and modern weapons exist in the game, the multitude of them and ease in which you can switch between them allow for creativity to be boundless. With UT2004 map editor, the number of maps is only limited by how many the admin actually puts on the server.

Movement in this game is fluid, with wall and floor dodging a whole new dimension of fighting opens up increasing the complexity of thought and skill needed to kill your opponent, it allows for skilled fighters to use the map's terrain against their opponent, a 4v1 win is very impressive in a team game, but not unheard of.

Modding on PC allows for games developed by players to take place, TAM, AM, Freon are all popular modifications, fusions of deathmatch, team deathmatch and last man standing to create new games. Freon adds the idea of freezing to the mix.

Overall a great game, easily recommended to any weapons fighting enthusiast.
