Street Fighter IV is a return to form for CAPCOM as they have produced a game that not only has the old Street Fighter feel but features new and evolved gameplay. First off the gameplay is still 2d but many of the characters and moves have been slightly tweaked from older versions of Street Fighter. Both the casual gamer and enthusiast will enjoy Street Fighter IV as it is the classic "easy to play, difficult to master" game.

The extra features added to the game like online play and trial modes give the game needed boosts for Street Fighter to keep pace in the new millennium. Online play is great with little lag while trial modes reward you for using every character. Gameplay and feature there is almost nothing to detract from this game. Performance wise the game runs on my 3 year old machine at max settings and max resolution with zero slowdown (even with 16x AA enabled).

The MadCatz controller that comes bundled with this game is good but could be a little more sturdy - it has held up after heavy use, but its not made of the same high quality materials as a normal 360 controller. It has a floating D-Pad and 6 face buttons like the old Sega Genesis controller - making it a lock for any fighting game. I would definitely consider it the best contoller I have for any fighting games and playing emulators (driver support is built into windows xp standard).

Overall I believe if you do not have a Fightpad and you want to play Street Fighter IV or emulators you should get this bundle as its reduced price on both the game and Fightpad make this an excellent deal.

I've always been a Street Fighter addict.

I like some other fighting games but none of them is as good as SF4.

It's fun, balanced, impressive!

Street Fighter IV is overall a great game with awesome graphics and great soundtrack. The only unfortunate thing for me is that my PC can't handle the graphics requirement and therefore suffers from periods of extreme lags. So, before you get all excited for the game, check to be sure that your PC has enough power to handle it. Because of this game, I also got introduced to XboxLive/WindowsLive environment - you have to connect in order to play it seems... Can't say that I necessarily like it because I'd guess that part of the lag is due to this requirement. Wish I could just play offline.

Anyway, all that aside, 5 stars for this game! The controller is also quite suitable for the game. :)

I guess I was expecting more 3d or something else looks like Street Fighter Alpha!

The ability to choose multiple characters makes this a fun game to play also the controller is nice however to pull off the difficult moves it would be easier with a fight stick. I don't like the d-pad at all have to press really hard to actually pull off the difficult moves. I have not been able to unlock the final two characters yet. I'm also very disappointed that I have to log onto windows live on startup each time. That is a real pain especially since you want to play solo at times without being bothered by this.

I also had problems playing this the first time the DRM of the disc said I didn't have DMA turned on my dvd drive, but I did so I had to turn it on and off again before I was able to play this game.

If you are on a budget I would buy the regular version without the controller and then invest in a good stick for this game.

Except for these minor qualms I am very satisfied with this game its fun and it has lots of eye candy and hidden character to make you not want to put it down. If for whatever reason you get sick of it you can accept challenges and fight anyone. As soon as I turn it on someone always wants to challenge me I don't even have time to blink when the game gets old in a couple of years the challenges will be infrequent so enjoy it now while you can.

The reasons I gave it a 4 is for all those reasons cited above plus it takes about 4 some odd gig of disk space so if you have a small drive be warned I installed this on my Windows 7 test 40 gig partition and I had only 12 gigs and now with the game installed I only have 8 now.

Wow, Buy The Game and the Fightpad seperately, your probably looking at 20$ Than The Bundle!

This Version of SF4 Needs a high performing PC for its peak graphics

But if your like me and you don't care about the graphics, i say go for it!

The FightPad Was Awesome!

If You remember The Sega Saturn Cobtroller...(Big hint, The D-Pad)

With the controllers Floating d-pad, most gamers would be hard-pressed to use the 360 controller than this awesome piece of machineary!

The Best PC game to date, Ive been a fan of Street fighter For Quite a while and if you love street fighter or if your a fan of fighting games,

You won't be dissapointed!

Stree Fighter IV...Let's Do This!

I really miss games. I miss those games that made you sit for hours and hours trying to improve your technique or shave that 1/100th of a second off your record lap. I miss those games that remained classics, even if it was released on a console 15 years ago and the reason for that is very simple. You earned your achievement.

Street Fighter IV is a modern game with a premise like that. Your rewards when playing a game like this are not some CG rendered cutscene/ending but sheer gameplay. You take your choice of character into battle armed with a few simple combinations then you start searching for that extra hit in a combo. You work out your opponents' strategies and counter those to overcome them. I am simply loving this game for all the right reasons!!!

The programming for the most part is excellent but not perfect. Graphics and character voices are amazing! I really love of these backgrounds but still wanted each character to have their "home" stage as in previous incarnations of Street Fighter.

The characters are great! All 12 World Warriors, 2 Super Steet Fighters, Gen & Rose, 4 new characters and Akuma, Gouken & Seth once you unlock them! I do find the idea of Capcom adding T. Hawk and Dee Jay rather appealing but the roster as is is well balanced and has enough variety.

The one character who I do find slightly out of place is Seth. Cheap has a new king and Seth is he! His teleporting ability is not at home in a Street Fighter (Dhalsim's has better balance) game and neither is his ludicrous Ultra Combo! It belongs in the X-Men franchise, not here. But it does add to the sense of achievement once you beat him on the HARDEST setting. I still think M. Bison is the best final boss in the series to date.

The cut scenes to me somewhat spoil the overall sheen of the game. They really are crap. Perhaps spending time and creating endings similar to the Rival Encounter scenes would've felt better. It's a minor gripe but if Capcom release a Street Fighter IV: Championship Edition, they should look at this.

The controller is nice and does a capable job. However, this controller will not find a place as a legendary one. Sega Genesis & Saturn controllers and the untouchable Ascii 6 Button Fighting pads still remain the benchmark. It is however the only controller you should consider right now.

The Games for Windows Live is a letdown to us who don't live in a supported territory. I really don't understand how gameplay elements got built around a feature the vast majority of the world can't enjoy. Sad. But to save your progress, create an offline profile.

Ultimately, I will rate this game 9.6. It is a game of sheer beauty and depth. I place it a close second to Street Fighter II.

This game is a throw back to the old street fighters, which is a very good thing. Being a strong SF fan through my teenage years, i've grown to hate the newer ones (especially the EX series). This game reminds me alot of SSF2 turbo. Only problem I had with the game was that it eats up video memory like crazy. Once you have a fast processor and a decent video card, geforce 8800 or higher, the game will run pretty smoothly but a trick I learned was to turn off the v-sync in pc settings and it will run really well.

The bundled controller i thought was just a marketing ploy to take you for some money but it's about the best thing you can get next to an arcade stick. Personally i still think the best controller to play SF is the super nes pad but this one ain't to shabby. They just added a USB adaptor to the end of the pad and my vista machine read it instantly, my xp machine had to dl the drivers. I wish they would bundle the other Xbox game pads as well and not just the Ryu version.

Online game play is alot of fun, just make sure u get a good connection between yourself and the other player (4 stars or higher).

Be prepared to spend alot of time playing this one, plus with the online feature, the novelty of the game will probably never wear off.. All Street Fighter fans, this is a must have for the collection...

Yes, I like it a lot. Yes, I'm a fanboy. But Who wouldn't it?. Back to the classic Street Fighter with new characters: Rufus, Viper, Abel and Seth. With new movements as: focus attacks (it can absorb one hit and it can do an unbockeable hit, also it can cancell your atack) and Ultra combos (when your revenge bar has a good amount of hit received. you can perfome a special attack). In the PC version has better graphic with AA and AF, also It supports better resolution than its consoles counter part. It uses Games for windows live that it lacks of compatibilities and it has zone restrictions but When I played online I didn't have lag problems.

One thing that make this bundle great is the Ryu's fightpad included. Also this game support diferents gamepads. I tried: logitech dual action gamepad and Logitech wireless rumble pad. They work excellent but you have to configure the buttons because it has a different possition that xbox360.

I have to admit to a bias in that I grew up playing fighting games back in the 80s through mid 90s. That being said, SF4 has got to be one of the best incarnations of the series.

I've always been more of an SNK fan, but Capcom has really outdone themselves on this title. I was thrilled that they released it on the PC, so hardcore PC gamers like me could play it without buying a console.

The graphics are phenomenal and the new characters are pretty cool!

I give this game a 5 out of 5 stars even though I mostly play FPS these days.

Okay, now for the negatives. The online play menu's suck! They are not very intuitive and don't let you filter out players. I'm used to all the filters on games such as the COD series.

Also, too many of the people that play online are really lame. They only use Ken, Ryu, and Akuma. They think its skillful to just throw fireballs from a corner all day long. Total n00bs.

It can be frustrating playing online because these are the characters you'll be fighting 98% of the time. I can't fathom it. There are so many different characters to use, be a man and change up sometimes! I'm allready getting bored with the multiplayer experience!

As for the madcatz controller - I love the button layout and the ease of installation. Just plug it into any windows pc and it's instantly installed.

Unfortunately, the D-pad is quite lacking. The D-pad on my Logitech dual action is far superior and responsive. Still, the madcatz controller is okay. You won't be able to compete with the high end players using joysticks..so if you are hardcore about Street Fighter, I'd recommend getting a good stick such as the X-arcade. I'd shell out the dough for one, but like I said I'm mostly into First Person Shooters so I can't justify the cost.

I'd recommend getting this bundle set as you can always sell the madcatz controller on eBay. They are going for $60 on average and will surely go up in price over time as they become more scarce.

Thank you Capcom for bringing this title to the PC! Now if only SNK would come out with a new Samaurai Showdown or King of Fighters for PC, then I might just buy and X-Arcade stick!

This is my first game for windows live pc and I must say that i am very impressed. The online gameplay is outstanding even on my 512kb dsl connection! The game itself is also outstanding. On my 8800gt and AMDX26400 i get a constant 60 frames per second even at the highest resolution 1920*1080. The fightpad controller is excellent. Much better than the abysmal XBOX 360 controller with its miserable d-pad. I hope to buy a fighter stick soon so my fingers won't get tired and arthritic! I am very happy i don't have a console. I believe this is by far the best version of the game. If only they would change that dumb backstreet boys soundtrack! This is why I gave it four stars. I have been playing Street fighter for 20 years and the music on the original Street fighter 2 was the best. I also wish they would bring back Sagat's original stage. I always that it was the best.

I just got the game yesterday and installed it on both my laptop and desktop. Runs good on both machines. Laptop is a Core2Duo 2.0ghz, geforce 9300m gs, and vista 64bit. Runs a good 50 fps at the lowest setting. Desktop is an Opteron 185 2.6ghz, geforce 8800gt, win xp. Runs great at 60 fps at the highest settings. I turned off motion blur because it really isn't technically needed in video games and it eats up resources. My only problem is with AntiAliasing. If I set it anything but off or 16AAxQ, I get a BSOD. That is why the 4 stars. This can probably be fixed in a patch. Other than that, I love this game. I would defiantly recommend to anyone who likes Street Fighter. And the gamepad is awesome.
