The Siberia head set was exactly what he wanted. He wore it unconnected to anything while all of us opened the rest of the gifts.

Got a pair for my wife, and she loves it. Sound and build quality are good.

That said, I can't use them. Being 6'2" and with a reasonably large head, the stretchy adjustment strap gets pulled to the limit, which causes the bottom of the ear piece to lift or at least apply less pressure than the top, which feels weird.

Also, as a matter of personal preference, the ear pieces don't press against your head with much force. My wife likes that they don't press hard and thus won't hurt her ears over time, whereas, I don't want the headphones to feel "loose" (as compared to the Steelseries V4/V5).

I've been using earbuds ever since I could remember. Then I saw these babies on [...] for $14.99. Way worth it. I use them for music and I'm going to use them to watch movies on my mac laptop. So far, so good. And they look pretty awesome too! Great purchase, especially for the price that I got them at.

Good sound quality, quality microphone, I am happy with these. They completely seal my ear and don't cause any problems after many hours of gaming. They seem to be more concentrated on quality rather than making the sound too bass-y like my old plantronics A90s. Cords seem long enough, thick and durable enough to withstand my constant computer chair rollovers. Also modular design to put my speakers in the same cord comes in handy, even if this likely wasnt an intended use. The separate cord for the mic is a +/- in that it is nice to move around, but when i don't need a mic, it sometimes becomes a burden and wish it was just integrated into the ear phone piece. This was an advertised design and I still am not sure which design i prefer, so 5 stars.

I purchased these headphones because a friend of mine had a pair of them. They are great sounding and incredibly comnfortable, along with being high quality. I would suggest this product to anybody.

I have gone through a bunch of headsets, Plantronics, Logitechs, and Sennheisers, all of them broke between the period of 6 to 12 months. Recently, my Steelseries 5HV2 broke, (well, the audio on the right ear piece went out). This headset is replacing the 5HV2 I had. I love the styling of this headset, definitely an eye pleaser and unique in its own way. Furthermore, I finally get to hear what bass sound like. All the headsets I used in the past were lacking in the bass department, even the 5HV2; however, this headset takes the crown. This headset is great for playing first person shooters and listening to music. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I'll make this simple: If you enjoy both a well constructed and comfortable set of head phones - look no further. These babies get the job done. The people who designed the Steel Series Siberia full size headset actually remembered that mostly humans would be using their creation. Comfort and style - what a concept. And, the sound is excellent. As a bonus, this headset comes with an unobtrusive and useful microphone built into the cable extension. This is a well thought out product. Highly recommended.

These headphones are very high quality. A bit about my use: I am a gamer who plays games that are highly sound driven (audiosurf, company of heroes, quake3/live) and these headphones have lived up to their status and are the best headphones I have ever owned. Before using these I was using a stolen pair of plantronics gamer headphones and the sound quality was noticeably better with these headphones. Also, these headphones have a shiny durable plastic build and smooth curves, making them attractive. The headband is unlike any other headset I've seen before and it does an excellent job of holding to your head without smashing your ears and causing long term use pain. Quake is much easier to play with high quality audio output and my scores are slightly better when using these headphones than when I use my speaker set (logitech z5500). Audiosurf is completely music driven, and good for testing headphones: the siberia headset handles music well (not as well as my previously mentioned speaker set but still very well), the bass is not overloud (a lot of headphones try to be bassy, it sounds awful), the mids are developed and strong, and the highs are not tinny at all. Quick note: I listen to a large variety of music, in the order of listening time my tastes are as follows: hardstyle (the prophet), hard rock (kidneythieves), classical (any philharmonic orc, will listen to blue Danube for hours), and hiphop (snoop dogg), I think I have tested pretty much every genre of music through these headphones. The cables are gold plated, not that that really makes a difference, but it looks nice and makes you feel a bit better about it when you jack in. I use the cable lengthener to quickly switch between my headphones and my speaker system, which is useful. The volume control on the cable is very nice, and deserves mention. Because of the coating on the cable and headphone, dirt and scuffs don't show/do not have an effect on the unit. Finally, the mic (attached to my monitor with the help of a little plastic elbow included in the package) is a great mic, I use skype/vent every day to communicate and this mic is clear for everyone listening to me. Below is a more concise summary:

Pros:

-Attractive headset.

-Excellent sound quality.

-Comfortable to use.

-Game well.

-Handle music playing well.

-Long cable when attached to included cable lengthener.

-Included mic is functional, simple, and clear.

Cons (not really discussed above):

-They are physically large.

-The cable comes off the left of the headphones (not an issue for me, but a bit unbalancing).

-Mic is not attached to headset (solved with newer versions of the siberia).

-Significantly more expensive than other headphones.

Out of 10:

Gaming: 10

Music: 8

Comfort: 9

Appearance: 8

My general satisfaction: 10

Apologies for the rambling, these are very nice headphones, I love them, and I highly recommend them. They are worth their high cost.

MY SON IS ACTUALLY THE USER AND HE JUST LOVES THIS HEADSET - HAD ME SEARCHING EVERYWHERE UNTIL HE FOUND THEM AT AMAZON AND GOT ME TO ORDER HIM A SET - IT'S THE ONLY HEADSET HE WOULD USE FOR GAMING

The product arrived on time and in new condition (came in a Steel Series box) when I first put them on I thought they would hurt my head because they grab your head like a vice but that was not the case I have been using them for a couple months now and they work great. My only issue (and this is my own fault) is that I thought they were the like the v2 style with the attached mic and there not the mic is on the cord, but as i said that's my own fault and the mic works good still :)

After having worn these for a while now, I can safely say if you're even considering these you should go for it. I was consider the Carcharias from Razer but I chose these because of the fact that I can use these for my ipod or zune or whatever you have. I had a little trouble with the mic, but I just had to adjust some settings on my pc to accomidate the new bit of hardware. Overall a great choice. I highly, highly recommend it! ^_^

This is an absolutely amazing headset for the price

Sound quality is superb for both bass and higher notes

The removed mic is fairly good. You can just place it in your general area and it'll pick your voice up just fine

Cord is nice and thick, unlike other headsets with really thin cords that look like they'll snap if you pull on them even a little bit. Cord is also very long, which is a definite plus.

Build quality is pretty good. Haven't had any problems yet. Sturdy piece of hardware

The headset was initially a little bit uncomfortable to wear over 2-3 hours of gaming but I got used to it after a month or so.

Also, at first I thought that the whole thing would look kind of dumb being so big and all, but really you just end up looking like you're gonna bust out some DJ action at a moments notice. Not bad at all. Shouldn't be a problem even if styling is a concern for you

Overall, an incredible product that I have no regrets purchasing

After going through tons of wal mart cheapo headsets I decided to go for this one and honestly its doing me pretty well so far. Its definitely really sturdy but the best part about it is how comfortable it is, anyone used to crappy headsets is just going to love this. Sound quality is pretty good of course. My only beef is that the cords that come with it are like 25 feet long and Its a lot of work keeping up with them, as this is marketed to a "gamer" I dont understand why the cords have to be so long. Small beef though, great headset awesome price.

Yes this headphone is billed as both a gaming headset and for just listing to music, but if you are going to do the latter, make sure its in a quieter place. Don't use it from music only. That being said, its PERFECT for gaming. Its very comfortable. Microphone is very unique and works well.

Got it fast and have only a few things to say about it.

Pros:

Sound is amazing, after owning plenty of discount and even non-discount headsets when I switched to this Siberia I was in awe. Not only is the sound amazing but these headphones are very comfortable, on a lazy day I can sit at my computer for 8 or so hours, when I finally get up and out I won't even feel a difference.

Cons:

My only con is the microphone, apparently it is not much better then what my old $15 headset sounded like.

Over all I am glad I made this purchase and would recommend it.
